The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2741: Your Reaction Is a Bit Intense!

"Alright!"

Zorvyn Harrison was amused by Carson Flores’ words and seemed to have thrown caution to the wind: "I’ll accompany you in eating meat and drinking wine."

Carson Flores gestured with his mouth: "You sit across from me."

Zorvyn was momentarily stunned: "Why?"

Carson responded naturally: "Two people, eating meat and drinking wine, facing each other, isn’t that the most convenient?"

Zorvyn thought it through and found it made sense, so she got up from beside Carson and sat down across from him.

"Do you usually get to enjoy these Immortal Wines and delicacies at will?"

Zorvyn replied: "Our status within the sect is limited, so naturally we can’t."

Carson chuckled: "I’ve never enjoyed it either; it was just luck that I got here. Speaking of which, we’re quite the same. Since that’s the case, we should eat and drink well, not waste this opportunity... Oh, right, I just want to confirm, if the Convoker Token didn’t come from the Convoker Envoy, it’s still valid, right? We won’t get kicked out, will we?"

Zorvyn was amused again, chuckling lightly: "No matter how the Convoker Token came about, as long as you’re holding it here, you can enter the Immortal Gathering Island. Guests are all equal."

Carson seemed relieved: "That’s good, as long as the host doesn’t mind, it’s fine. As for the others, let’s just pretend we didn’t see them."

"Alright!"

Zorvyn seemed infected by Carson’s attitude, a hint of laughter in her eyes. She picked up her chopsticks and, together with Carson, started a hearty feast. Naturally, her eating manner was much more refined compared to Carson’s.

For two people eating, the portion of dishes on the table was clearly insufficient, so Carson unhesitatingly called over the nearby Maiden responsible for serving and requested more dishes and wine.

The Maiden glanced at Zorvyn, who was seated across from Carson, her expression somewhat surprised, but still quickly brought new delicacies and Immortal Wine for the two.

This scene once again attracted the attention of those around them.

The guests seemed quite disdainful of Carson’s apparent lack of worldly experience, while the Maidens looked at Zorvyn, who was eating and drinking with Carson, their eyes filled with a hint of envy.

The men they served never considered them at all!

They merely treated them as maids they could toy with at will.

Do the opinions of the maids even matter?

"Miss Harrison, once we got here, we were brought here to eat and drink, but what do we do after getting our fill? Doesn’t anyone from Immortal Gathering Island show up?"

Zorvyn answered: "There’s still some time before the actual Gathering Immortals Assembly. To ensure guests eat joyfully and play joyfully, without mental pressure, the Island Master won’t appear, and all hospitality matters are entrusted to us."

"There are also some attractions worth visiting here. If you’re interested, I could take you to see them one by one. If you have any requests, you can tell me, and I will report them to Zephyra, the overseer."

Carson asked in surprise: "Zephyra is the overseer?"

"Yes."

Zorvyn replied: "Zephyra, the overseer, is in charge of all hospitality matters. She is someone the Island Master trusts greatly and holds quite a bit of power across Immortal Gathering Island."

Carson laughed: "So, in that case, Zephyra could be considered the owner of Immortal Gathering Island too, but when she personally welcomes guests and leaves quickly, it makes people mistake her for a Maiden."

Zorvyn hummed in agreement: "Everything at the Gathering Immortals Assembly is guest-centered. The overseer has said that even she is just a member of the guest service team."

That’s quite an admirable concept!

Carson casually asked: "Are all these Female Immortals disciples of Immortal Gathering Island?"

Zorvyn paused her chopsticks: "Yes, we were all selected by the Convoker Envoy, brought here, and then grew up, cultivated, and lived here..."

Carson lifted his gaze: "You’ve never left?"

Zorvyn chuckled softly: "We basically have no relatives outside. Even if we did, after all these years, they’re long gone. Outside, there’s nothing or no one we’re attached to. What would we leave for? Life here allows for stable cultivation..."

Upon hearing this, Carson understood the origin of these thousands or even more Female Immortals.

They were brought back by the Convoker Envoy and raised from childhood, probably experiencing growth similar to training girls in a Green Building, trained in various skills from a young age, with one goal in mind—to captivate men!

Although these Female Immortals are Immortals, relative to the entire Immortal Gathering Island, their power is insignificant. They were raised from a young age to attract various skilled Cultivators. Over time, reverence, fear, and habit have molded them into who they are today.

Carson nodded, raised his cup, took a sip of wine, and picked up a couple of dishes with his chopsticks. Suddenly, he asked out of the blue: "Have you ever thought of going out?"

Zorvyn’s pupils shrank slightly, and she answered without hesitation: "No, I live quite well here. I have Immortal Cultivation Resources and no danger, so why leave?"

Carson smiled and nodded: "That’s true, the outside isn’t exactly peaceful, and it’s really dangerous for a Female Immortal to venture alone."

Though Carson said this out loud, inwardly he sighed.

Your reaction is rather intense!

What I asked was about going out, yet you answered about leaving!

Perhaps you’re very aware that you have no right to go outside, and that’s why you instinctively perceive going out as escape?
