Chapter 2705: It Just Ended Like That?
"Boom!"
Carson Flores’s body was directly shattered into a pool of blood mist by Bodessa’s magical treasure, and at the same time, the exploding talisman in Carson’s hand detonated.
Not only did the talisman in his hand explode, but the magical treasures in the hands of more than a dozen of Carson’s incarnations exploded simultaneously, and strange rune lights instantly radiated out, enveloping the surroundings.
More than a dozen spherical areas enveloped most of the Barbarian Tribe’s team.
Bodessa’s heart skipped a beat and suddenly sank into an abyss.
Ambush!
She finally understood why the Demon Race’s team opposite was all watching this side; they were not defending against the Barbarians but waiting for this wave of suicidal attack, waiting for the Barbarian Tribe to fall into chaos!
Bodessa’s vision blurred, and the scene suddenly changed. She was back in a black room that often appeared in her nightmares, a place she would never forget.
Familiar shackles stained with blood, the familiar small bed, dim light cast by a small window on the wall, the entire room filled with the smell of blood and decay, and a faint stench making one want to vomit.
A boundless panic surged in Bodessa’s heart. Rationality told her she had fallen into an illusionary realm, that everything in front of her was fake, that she had grown up and become incomparably strong, no longer the weak and helpless little girl like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered!
Yet the terrifying fear still clutched her throat with an invisible hand, suffocating her, awakening the most unforgettable and frightening memories hidden in her heart, paralyzing her with horror.
Bodessa felt despair beyond words. It’s over!
Everything’s over!
Just as Bodessa lamented in distress, a pendant around her chest suddenly emitted a cyan light, instantly dispelling the rune-filled lights.
Bodessa’s eyes brightened, the small room vanished in an instant, and she returned once more to reality.
Bodessa instinctively took a deep breath like someone who had just burst from underwater, but in the next moment, all the blood in Bodessa’s body went cold.
In the previously empty sky ahead, hundreds of golden lights had appeared, carrying an overwhelming murderous aura pressing towards them.
The Demon Race was charging in!
Most of the Barbarian Tribe was bewildered by Carson’s suicidal assault, partially influenced by the illusionary realm, unaware of any information from the outside world.
Bodessa shouted angrily, "Wake up! The Demon Race is attacking!"
Bodessa’s voice boomed like thunder from the Nine Heavens, exploding in the ears of the Barbarian warriors trapped in the illusionary realm.
Her furious roar woke a portion of the Barbarian warriors who were lightly ensnared by the illusionary realm. They barely had time to reflect on the illusions they had endured before the overwhelming attack enveloped them like a tide.
On the plains, everyone stood dumbfounded, watching the Barbarian Tribe’s team hammered by the Demon Race, incredulous.
What on earth happened?
Who on earth were those dozen masked men dressed the same way, were they self-sacrificing disciples of the Demon Race?
Yet, seeing them almost without resistance, instantly turned into a pool of blood mist by the Barbarian Tribe’s reflexive counterattack. How could they be so weak?
Even more astonishing was that these people didn’t even resist, all calmly facing the magical treasures flying towards them, calmly embracing death!
In shock, everyone instantly descended into chaos.
The Demon Race was overjoyed, cheering wildly, while the Barbarians fell into confusion, shouting loudly.
"Damn it!"
"Where did those dozen people come from?"
"What kind of magical treasure was that?"
"We failed, we must stop the match immediately, otherwise our people will be slaughtered by the despicable Demon Race!"
"Stop the match, don’t let our warriors die in vain!"
"Winning is impossible now, stop senseless death, end the match now!"
As the scene changed and the Demon Race’s attack became unstoppable, defeating the sober Barbarian warriors led by Bodessa, a complete massacre was imminent. Yet, just then, everyone suddenly felt a tremendous pulling force, and their bodies involuntarily flew towards the Heavenly Dome.
Carson was also among the crowd rising against the heavens, watching everything before his eyes, a smile appeared on his face.
It must have been the Barbarians who ended the duel, right?
If they kept killing, the Barbarian Tribe would suffer heavy casualties. These people trapped in the illusionary realm had hardly any capacity to resist. Their outcome wouldn’t be to escape by shedding their tags but to be utterly annihilated.
The Barbarians would be heavily damaged!
At the zenith of the heavens, Carson felt a blur before his eyes as his body rushed out from the wide Light Gate, returning to the plains.
Carson swiftly scanned his surroundings, relieved to find no one paying attention to him.
He had been in the killing scene for so many days, and his intermittent actions should have drawn some attention.
He wasn’t afraid of being noticed, but he dreaded having his identity revealed.
Though he wasn’t on the wanted list, it was best to be cautious.
He was about to look for Niall Sinclair, planning to slip away quietly, when he turned and saw Sect Master Garlan Parrish of the Illusory Snake Sect standing before him, gazing with a subtle look.
Carson reluctantly spoke up amidst the public gaze, "Sect Master!"
Sect Master Garlan Parrish’s usually icy face revealed a faint smile, "Come with me!"
