The Fragrance of My Hot Patients

Chapter 94: You Seem a Little Strange

Angie had invited Chenyang to her home to treat her younger sister’s illness.

But before the illness was even cured, he had ended up sleeping with the patient.

Although they had only hooked up because Anna had initiated it, if you really thought about it, the whole thing still felt a little shady.

Besides, Chenyang wasn’t just here as a doctor—he was also playing the role of a fake boyfriend.

Now that the act had become real and he had taken advantage of Angie’s sister, there was no guarantee she wouldn’t fly into a rage.

Thinking about all this, Chenyang couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt.

His gaze flickered away, completely unable to meet Angie’s eyes.

Seeing his dazed expression, Angie furrowed her brow. "What’s wrong with you? Was I wrong? Can’t my sister’s illness be cured?"

Chenyang quickly shook his head. "No, Nana’s illness can be cured."

"If it can be cured, then why do you look like you’ve done something wrong and can’t even look at me?"

"Huh? Do I?" Chenyang tried his best to hide his guilt, stammering, "I... It’s not that I did something wrong, it’s... it’s just... I’m curious how you knew Nana had a chance of being cured this time, since you weren’t even here."

"Oh, that." Angie smiled, pressing her lips together as she explained, "Nana’s been sick for so long. At first, before we got it under control, her episodes would usually end with her passing out from exhaustion."

Later, we found some skilled doctors who prescribed medication. But even then, after an episode, she’d be in terrible shape and wouldn’t be able to sleep soundly for two or three days straight.

But look at her now. She’s sleeping so deeply, and she even has a happy smile on her face. As I recall, since she got sick, I can count on one hand the number of times she’s slept this peacefully.

Her episode today was very severe. Normally, this would be impossible. Instead, it was only after you treated her that I saw this. So, doesn’t that mean things are finally looking up?"

Hearing this, Chenyang said in astonishment, "You figured all that out just from how soundly she’s sleeping?"

"Of course. I know my sister’s condition better than anyone. Forget something as obvious as her sleeping soundly—I can even pick up on the tiniest micro-expression."

"So that’s all you saw? You didn’t notice anything... else?"

"No." Angie’s delicate brows knitted together. "Is there something else?"

"Nope."

"But I can’t shake the feeling that you’re acting a little strange."

"Not at all... I was just curious about your earlier observation." Worried Angie would press him further and he’d accidentally let something slip, Chenyang quickly changed the subject. "After performing acupuncture on Nana, I’ve found her condition is actually a bit better than I initially estimated."

If everything goes smoothly, about four treatment courses should do it. During these courses, besides acupuncture, therapeutic massage, and medication, we also need to do our best to keep her in good spirits."

Angie nodded and placed the bag she was carrying on the table. "I had to go to several pharmacies to gather all of these. Can you check if they’re correct?"

Chenyang gave them a quick look. "They’re right. I’ll show you how to brew the medicine in a bit."

"Okay."

Angie smiled and took some bread and a drink out of another bag. "I was going to get some takeout, but the restaurants were all packed. I was worried you needed these things urgently, so I just rushed back with some snacks."

You can make do with these for now. Later, you can eat what’s down below."

"Eat what’s down below?"

Hearing this, Chenyang almost instinctively glanced down between Angie’s gorgeous legs.

Meeting his heated gaze, Angie involuntarily pressed her legs together and hurriedly explained, "Noodles! I’m really good at making hand-pulled noodles, especially with fried bean sauce. I’ll let you try some later."

"You don’t have to go to all that trouble. I’ll be fine with just a quick bite."

Chenyang waved his hand dismissively and began taking out the Chinese herbs from the table. After separating them according to the required dosages, he pushed a small pile toward Angie. "First, soak these in warm water for a bit. Once the water starts to turn a faint yellow, pour it out, add cold water, and boil on high heat for forty minutes, then simmer on low heat for half an hour. That should be about right."

"And she drinks the resulting medicinal broth, right?"

"That’s right."

"Won’t it be a bit bitter? Nana’s been afraid of bitter tastes since she was a little girl. Can I add some rock sugar or honey?"

"No need. I already thought of that and specifically added two herbs that counteract the bitterness and create a sweet flavor. If she still finds it hard to drink, you can give her a small snack, but try to avoid sugary things."

"Okay."

Angie smiled and reached out to pick up the herbs.

But as her hand touched the tabletop, she suddenly felt a cool dampness.

She instinctively looked down and saw a few glistening droplets on her fingertips.

Rolling it between her fingers, it felt vaguely familiar. That, combined with the faint scent lingering in the air, made her almost subconsciously connect it to the slick fluid from when she... pleasured herself.

She couldn’t help but lift her gaze to Anna on the sofa, then her eyes fell upon Chenyang.

Recalling Chenyang’s strange behavior from moments before, a peculiar expression slowly dawned on her pretty face.
