Chapter 95: Jealous Angie
Chenyang didn’t know what Angie was thinking.
Seeing her suddenly freeze while grabbing the herbs, her expression changing, he asked in surprise, "What’s wrong, Sister Angie? Is there something you don’t understand?"
"No..."
Angie desperately wanted to ask what had just happened.
But the words died on her lips.
If something really had happened, asking might be necessary.
But if nothing she imagined had occurred, it would just make things awkward for both of them.
Suppressing her curiosity, she picked up the herbs and walked toward the kitchen. "You sit and rest for a while," she said. "I’m going to brew the medicine."
"Alright."
RING RING RING!
Chenyang was just about to sit down when the phone charging nearby suddenly rang.
He walked over and saw that he had several missed calls and a few text messages.
But he hadn’t heard any of it, completely absorbed in his passionate battle with Anna.
The current call was from a telemarketer. He casually declined it and unlocked his screen.
The messages and calls were from three different people.
The first was from a delivery driver. After two unanswered calls, he had texted Chenyang to say that the food he’d ordered earlier was left in the utility shaft by the door.
The second was from Liu Yun, who had sent a message telling Chenyang what he needed to bring when he reported to the hospital tomorrow.
The third was from Qin Fei’Er, asking where he was, why he wasn’t home yet, and telling him to hurry back as soon as he saw the message.
Chenyang wanted to stay and see how Anna was doing when she woke up, but he was also worried that Aunt Qin’s call might be urgent. After a moment’s thought, he called her back first.
A moment later, the call connected.
That incredibly sultry voice immediately came through the receiver. "Xiaochen, where are you?"
"I’m just in the neighborhood. What’s wrong, Aunt Qin? Is something the matter?"
"It’s Xiaowei. She’s fighting with Li Qiang for some reason. As her mother-in-law, it’s not really my place to ask, so I was hoping you could ask for me. They just got married, after all, and with Li Qiang being the way he is... I’m worried Xiaowei will regret marrying him."
"I see... Alright, I’ll head back now."
Chenyang had no interest in helping Qin Fei’Er mediate between Lin Xiaowei and Li Qiang.
In fact, he’d love nothing more than for Lin Xiaowei to kick Li Qiang to the curb, hoping the shock of a sudden divorce would be enough for Li Qiang to just croak.
He agreed for two reasons. First, he still needed to live in their home, so he couldn’t just refuse when Qin Fei’Er asked for help.
Second, he was genuinely curious what Li Qiang, with his despicable character, could have possibly done to anger Lin Xiaowei.
Putting his phone away, Chenyang called toward the kitchen, "Sister Angie! Something’s come up, I have to go back."
"Oh? You’re not staying for noodles?"
"Next time. Aunt Qin called and needs my help with something."
Looking at Angie as she came out of the kitchen, Chenyang added, "When Anna wakes up later, give her the medicine first. If there are no complications, just wait for me to come back for her next acupuncture session. But if anything seems wrong, give me a call."
"Alright. Since Sister Qin needs you, you should hurry back. We’re just neighbors, living upstairs and downstairs, so it’s convenient if anything comes up."
Chenyang nodded, grabbed his needle case from the coffee table, and left.
After turning and going back to the kitchen, Angie began brewing the medicine while opening a surveillance app on her phone.
She tapped on one of the video files, and the scene of Chenyang and Anna’s intimate encounter immediately filled her screen.
Because Angie had to work to earn money in addition to caring for Anna, she had installed security cameras in the house to keep an eye on Anna’s situation at all times.
Anna didn’t know about the cameras.
Angie hadn’t told her mainly because she was worried that feeling watched would upset her, potentially triggering an emotional episode and a relapse of her condition.
Now, she tapped the play button.
Immediately, the image of Anna straddling Chenyang’s lap, kissing him, began to move.
From their kissing on the sofa, to their occasional conversations, to the repeated, heated sessions at the dining table—every moment unfolded before Angie’s eyes.
Watching these scenes, the expression on Angie’s pretty face shifted repeatedly.
First came stunned disbelief.
After all, Chenyang seemed so simple and honest.
She never would have imagined that in the short time she was out buying something, this guy had turned the act into reality and conquered her sister.
Next came irritation and anger.
’I asked you here to treat her illness,’ she thought, ’but before you even cure her, you go and bed the patient!’
Of course, her anger wasn’t just because of what Chenyang had done.
It was also because of her sister’s initiative.
As Anna had mentioned before, Angie did indeed have very special feelings for her.
They were feelings akin to the love between a romantic couple.
The desire to have her other half all to herself, unwilling to let anyone else take her away.
Now, Chenyang had taken her sister, and her sister had even been so proactive about it. It made her furious, but she also couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy.
But as the video played on and she saw her sister’s moans of pleasure and ecstasy, and then inadvertently caught a glimpse of Chenyang’s impressive size, a look of envy and desire surfaced on Angie’s face.
’A monster like that... I wish it were inside me.’
