Lin Fei discovered that this Double-winged Tiger was incredibly formidable, standing at a height of five to six meters, and this was just the height of its body. If counting its massive wings, Lin Fei estimated that the great hall could barely accommodate it standing upright.

However, this was already quite a good thing, and now this Double-winged Tiger squatted quietly in its cage, waiting patiently for its master’s arrival, perhaps this was their nature!

As Zhou Ziyu walked in, Lin Fei worried for him. That enormous Double-winged Tiger surprisingly lowered its head and then made affectionate gestures like a dog.

Who would want to be trapped in a cage? Lin Fei could see their yearning for freedom, but Zhou Ziyu didn’t understand what they truly needed.

"By the way, may I know your esteemed name?" Zhou Ziyu asked at this moment, Lin Fei chuckled and replied, "My name is Lin Fei, please guide me in the future."

"Certainly, but I still want to ask, do you intend to participate in the demon beast contest?" Zhou Ziyu inquired.

Lin Fei smiled awkwardly, "I should ask my Little Black."

After speaking, Lin Fei turned to Little Black behind him and asked, "Little Black, do you want to participate?"

"We’ll see, if there aren’t any formidable opponents, I won’t participate. If you’re interested, you might check it out, but in a remote place like this, there likely aren’t any powerful demon beasts." This was Little Black’s opinion and decision.

However, Zhou Ziyu argued, "You can’t say that, the demon beast contest is held directly by the Empire, it’s a very grand event, and it will start soon, held every two years."

Upon hearing this, Lin Fei nodded, "I understand. By the way, young master, I want to know, how many demon beasts do you have, and where did you get them?"

Hearing Lin Fei’s question, Zhou Ziyu smiled, "These were caught outside, otherwise there wouldn’t be demon beasts in the city; even if there were, they would belong to someone, just like your dragon-like creature. If possible, I wish you could sell it to me."

Lin Fei smiled and shook his head, "He is my brother, how could I ever sell him."

Just then, a guard arrived, approached Lin Fei and Zhou Ziyu, and said, "Young master, the City Lord wants to see you to discuss something important."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Ziyu nodded and said, "Then I’ll go first, Master Lin, you wait here for a while, I’ll be back shortly, okay?"

Lin Fei nodded, "Of course, take your time."

With that, Zhou Ziyu turned and left, leaving Lin Fei alone with a room full of demon beasts in the great hall.

Now that their master had left, the two little creatures began to roam around, flying and running wildly around the hall, but suddenly Little Fire’s voice came from afar, prompting Little Black and Lin Fei to hurry over to where Little Fire was.

Upon arriving at the place where Little Fire was calling, Lin Fei saw three eggs soaking in a water tank; Lin Fei was unsure what this was about, but he sensed that the tank was filled with Elemental Stones, obviously intended to hatch these three eggs?

"These are three snake eggs," Little Black said, having recognized them.

Lin Fei nodded, "I didn’t think Zhou Ziyu really took the snake eggs."

"He said he liked demon beasts, otherwise why would anyone take snake eggs for no reason," Little Black scoffed at Lin Fei, who felt helpless, "What’s the point of raising so many demon beasts?"

"Sigh! Human hobbies are just like that, deriving joy from others’ suffering, without needing any reason, understood?" Little Black said.

"Are you talking about your own experience?" Lin Fei asked, smiling at Little Black. Little Black smiled back, without speaking.

"What should be done with these eggs?" Little Fire asked at this moment.

Lin Fei thought for a moment, feeling it was indeed a tricky matter, but he still said, "Let’s wait for a bit until Zhou Ziyu returns, then I’ll discuss with him whether he can return these eggs to the big snake."

"That could work, but I’m worried he’ll chase you away by then," Little Black said, "then you won’t be able to get them."

"But I can’t secretly take them either, that would be worse," Lin Fei felt he could talk to Zhou Ziyu, get him to give up the snake eggs, at least that wouldn’t require force or damage their relationship, preserving face for both.

Thus Lin Fei planned to wait for Zhou Ziyu’s return.

Lin Fei smiled awkwardly and said, "Brother Zhou, could I ask a favor of you?"

"Oh? What is it, just say it, no need to ask, we’re friends after all!" Zhou Ziyu said, quite amiably.

Lin Fei smiled and said, "Do you know why I came to the City Lord Mansion this time?"

"Oh? What for? Does the City Lord Mansion have something you fancy? If it does, just say it, I’ll give it to you!"
