Upon hearing Lin Fei’s words, Master Chen Rui and the City Lord furrowed their brows slightly and sighed. At that moment, they finally understood Lin Fei’s thoughts.

"And in the end? Are your wife and daughter safe?" Master Chen Rui asked.

Lin Fei shook his head, "I don’t know, because by the time I returned, my wife and daughter couldn’t bear the harassment, and along with my presence on Qianhuang Peak, they came to the Upper Realm. I’m not sure of their situation, but I didn’t find my wife at Qianhuang Peak, so I resorted to this desperate plan, directly killing the disciples who harassed my wife and daughter, which in turn angered the Elders of Qianhuang Peak."

"Thus, the Elders of Qianhuang Peak issued a wanted notice, directly pursuing you?" the City Lord asked.

Lin Fei nodded, "That’s exactly what I intended. I purposefully angered the Elder to make him publish a wanted notice in the Upper Realm, giving my wife and daughter a heads up. I never thought he would actually issue one, so I hope you, City Lord, and you, Master, can spare me."

Upon hearing Lin Fei’s words, Master Chen Rui and the City Lord nodded and smiled, "Rest assured, Lin Fei, we won’t act against you, especially since we don’t need any rewards from Qianhuang Peak either. You haven’t been here long, so rest for a couple of days until the situation calms down before leaving."

Lin Fei nodded, "Thank you, City Lord."

"Since there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way," the City Lord said, then turned and left.

"Farewell, City Lord." Lin Fei bowed to the City Lord and watched him leave.

Lin Fei let out a sigh of relief and turned to Master Chen Rui, "Thank you, Master Chen Rui, for forgiving me."

Hearing Lin Fei’s gratitude, Master Chen Rui shook his head, "You needn’t thank me. I haven’t actually helped you in any way; it’s just the City Lord’s magnanimity. Right, Lin Fei, what’s your plan now? With Qianhuang Peak hunting you, where do you intend to go? I fear there is nowhere in the East Continent where you can find refuge."

Lin Fei sighed, "I can’t leave here, surely. I still need to find my wife and daughter. If I can’t find them, my heart remains unsettled!"

"No matter how large, I must find them. I can’t let them suffer any grievances, so I must grow stronger!" Lin Fei had made up his mind. Since strength could hasten his search for them and allow him to protect his loved ones and friends, Lin Fei resolved to become even stronger!

"Certainly! By the way, Master Chen Rui, look what I’ve brought you from the Lower Realm—ice cream. I almost forgot to give it to you," Lin Fei said as he produced a white box. Naturally, it was a refrigerator, as ice cream melts easily, so a refrigerator is more suitable for preventing melting.

Master Chen Rui had never seen such an intriguing object. He looked at the fridge, reached out, and touched it, "Black, it’s quite impressive; can this thing be eaten?"

Hearing Master Chen Rui’s question, Lin Fei laughed, "Master Chen Rui, this object isn’t for eating; it’s the contents inside that are edible. You misunderstood."

With that, Lin Fei opened the fridge, and immediately, white cold air burst forth, making Master Chen Rui look at the fridge in surprise. Inside, row upon row of ice cream were neatly packed.

"Is this thing made of ice?" Master Chen Rui asked curiously. He didn’t understand how it was made, considering the abundance of it, though given its coldness, it likely was made of ice?

Lin Fei chuckled, "It’s not made of ice; it’s made of cream, chocolate, and egg rolls—these are what it’s made of."

Of course, Master Chen Rui didn’t quite understand this, but Lin Fei reminded him, "Master Chen Rui, I should warn you, it’s best to finish this before the ice melts; otherwise, it’ll turn into something watery and not taste as good."

"What if I keep it in ice?" Master Chen Rui asked.

"Certainly. Kept in ice, these can last a year, since they need to be frozen to exist and maintain form—otherwise, how could it transform from water into this state?" Lin Fei explained with a smile, attempting to make it straightforward enough for Master Chen Rui to comprehend.

Master Chen Rui nodded, "Understood. Let me try the taste first, and you should have one before you leave."

Lin Fei agreed to Master Chen Rui’s invitation, picked up an ice cream, and remarked, "This outer layer of paper can’t be eaten, but everything else can be."

Master Chen Rui nodded, then, like Lin Fei, he picked up one and took a taste.

"Hmm?"

Master Chen Rui’s eyes widened, an expression of disbelief crossing his face, before calming down, "It’s truly delicious, very good. Lin Fei, take a couple to the City Lord; let him have a taste of the ice cream too."

Lin Fei nodded, grabbed some ice cream, and walked towards the City Lord’s residence, finally arriving at his destination.
