"Where’s the rabbit?" Lin Fei asked.

"Heh heh, rabbit? Aren’t you the rabbit?" said a middle-aged man, rubbing his hands eagerly.

Another middle-aged man gestured into the alley, and immediately five or six men blocked Lin Fei’s path, encircling him.

"Kid, you see us brothers here work so hard, why don’t you give us something?" a middle-aged man suggested.

Lin Fei glanced around at them and said, "If you guys went hunting outside the city, you wouldn’t starve, right? So why do these despicable things here?"

"Hehe, hunting is dangerous, this is easy and safe," one of them replied.

"No danger? Really no danger?" Lin Fei stopped, eyeing the crowd with a cold stare, causing them to feel uneasy in their hearts.

"Kid, stop playing tricks. Hand over some money and we’ll let you go. Consider it a lesson. Otherwise, we’ll be rude to you. You should see how many of us there are!" shouted one middle-aged man, rallying his companions.

Lin Fei chuckled, "I thought in the Upper Realm people didn’t consider numbers as their fighting strength. Seems I was wrong."

"Quit the chatter, hurry up!" another impatiently demanded.

"What if I say no?" Lin Fei asked with a smile.

"Say no? Hmph!"

That man immediately unleashed his aura, and in an instant, a formidable presence emanated, with others also releasing their auras. Two were of Golden Core Realm, and the others were all Foundation Establishment Realm. Lin Fei was surprised that a group of robbers had such decent strength.

"Kid, this is your last warning. Hand over your money or don’t blame us if we rough you up!" The man threatened, cracking his knuckles loudly.

Lin Fei laughed and instantly released his own aura, overshadowing everyone present, "Let me teach you lazy bums a lesson today!"

With that, he lunged forward and vanished from their view, only for them to realize in shock that their companions were swiftly knocked to the ground, half disabled in the blink of an eye.

Lin Fei looked at the remaining two, and tossed the two unconscious ones on the ground before walking towards the two Golden Core Realm middle-aged men.

"What’s wrong? Why are you backing up? Weren’t you trying to rob me?" Lin Fei asked, watching the two retreat with terror-stricken faces, and he laughed.

"Brother, we were blind not to recognize your strength. We’re truly sorry. Please spare us," one pleaded.

"Of course, I won’t kill you, but you need to learn a lesson for deceiving me," Lin Fei smiled, knowing they had chosen him because of perceived weakness. If he were strong, they wouldn’t dare attack even if they were given guts.

Even against someone of their strength, they wouldn’t stand a chance, so they rely on their numbers to act freely, which makes sense.

But they misjudged, as Lin Fei had restrained his aura all along and hadn’t unleashed his power, not to mention he’s a Golden Core expert, leading them to mistakenly think Lin Fei was on their level.

Thus, with Lin Fei swiftly resolving the situation, the two were cowed.

Realizing Lin Fei’s speed made escaping impossible, they resorted to pleading.

Hearing Lin Fei’s words, the two gritted their teeth and dashed out, shouting, "Assault! The newcomer is attacking people!"

Originally in an alley at the city gate, their shouting drew attention from many, creating a tricky situation for Lin Fei since he couldn’t act among the crowd. Thus he simply watched as the two continued shouting outside.

By then, the two had fled the alley and still relentlessly shouted at passersby, "Everyone come judge, this person is attacking us! Come see, he’s bullying us!"

Their incessant cries attracted more people, finally drawing the attention of the city guards.

Recognizing the two troublemakers, a senior guard immediately scolded, "Li San and Li Four! You two are causing havoc here again?"

A senior soldier saw the familiar faces and instantly understood their unsuccessful robbery, now loudly complaining.

"Lord Shang, Boss Shang, you must stand up for us. Look in the alley, this person knocked out my brothers and wants to rob us!" one of the middle-aged men appealed to the crowd.

However, those living nearby knew their character well, so they weren’t convinced and merely laughed, knowing their frequent ’activities’ there.

"What? You don’t believe us? Passing strangers, come judge. Was he right?" the other one asked.

Some pedestrians who had been tricked before by Li San and Li Four showed them disdain, while some uninformed people hesitated, yet some sympathized with them.

Then the city guard officer Shang Madao advised, "Enough Li San, Li Four, we know your conduct. If you shout and disturb peace, I’ll arrest you!"

Li San and Li Four responded, "Lord Shang, how can you say that? After all, I shouldn’t..."

"Enough, stop whining when you hit a hard rock. Go away, don’t delay our jobs," Shang Madao ordered, needing to keep eyes on the city gate despite leaving some men behind.

"Fine then, since Lord Shang spoke, I’ll spare the lad this time," Li San and Li Four offered.

At that moment, Lin Fei sneered, "You two are delusional. I didn’t say you could leave. Since you infringed on my rights, you better compensate honestly, or no one’s leaving!"
