Chapter 2045 - 898: Transcendence (Part 2)
Rod chuckled softly, "Don’t say that, even without reincarnation, superhuman geniuses can be born among humans. Believe me, you will become the next strong warriors. Perhaps one day, you too can release soul ripples to provide strength to humanity years from now."
This statement spread like a spring breeze through the crowd. Even though they knew the possibility was slim, in that moment, their hearts were filled with determination.
Yes, if not for this, where would the life of man have come from?
Even if there’s only a one in a million chance, we must try.
Mephit calmly walked out from the crowd to stand before him, quietly asking, "What should I do?"
Rod smiled and said, "It’s simple, just like before. But now there are no restrictions. As long as you feel your soul is under control, you should continuously absorb humanity."
Mephit nodded slightly. Like before, she was silent and composed, never speaking more than necessary—even though she had become the human life that everyone in Trolian envied immensely.
"Everyone, please use all your strength to cultivate. Believe that we will meet again in the near future."
Rod grasped Mephit’s hand, a white light flashed, and they instantly vanished, leaving behind countless gazes filled with infinite hope and determination.
"Fight!" Molly transformed into a mist and attached to Teresa, "The monsters are coming again!"
The crowd rallied, charging toward the Black Fog symbiotes surging once more.
In the distance, a colossal wave of spiritual energy could be felt. The Black Fog symbiotes, towering tens of thousands of yards high, were locked in fierce combat with the Primordial strong warriors, and the massive ripples spread like tsunamis in all directions.
Everyone knew that the more terrifying black tide had arrived. The supermassive Black Fog symbiotes and powerful derivatives had appeared on the front lines, even the Doomsday Demon God Solos showed signs of faltering. They could only retreat further and allow more forces to assist him in resisting the terrible darkness.
But even the battlefield was in such a dire situation, they believed as long as the brigade commander was there, humanity was bound to find redemption. Trolian would survive, and they would create a new epoch alongside the great Sir Rod. This would be the fifth epoch following the Primordial Epoch, Ancient Epoch, Fire Epoch, and Dark Epoch.
"We are all creators!" Kashan shouted out, "There’s a long time ahead, I won’t lose to you!"
"For a new world!"
The crowd shouted in unison, and began their battle.

Back at the Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground, Rod immediately began feeding large amounts of humanity to Mephit as before. Now, he possessed an immeasurable quantity of humanity, and the Flower of Humanity had surpassed ten thousand. No matter how much Mephit consumed, he could sustain it.
Mephit hadn’t consumed humanity in quite some time. It wasn’t because Rod had forgotten; rather, her growth was too slow, requiring too much humanity, especially needing to consume the Flower of Humanity, which Rod at the time couldn’t support. Most importantly, with her soul’s growth, stability was decreasing, so to avoid total loss of control, the feeding had been temporarily halted.
But now, Rod had learned that she was the inheritor of three Outer Gods, so these concerns no longer applied. Although Asa didn’t provide her soul blueprint, there was a lot of information about the three Outer Gods: Doomsday Demon God Balenas, Primordial Insect Queen, and Dark Sky Demon, all of whom were supremely powerful Outer Gods from the Primordial Epoch. They came from distant lower universes, were acknowledged by the Supreme Universe, and joined the pantheon of the Primordial God, becoming among the many Outer Gods.
It’s said that these Outer Gods were the true origin of the ancient Dominators. The source that the ancient Dominators tirelessly pursued came from these powerful Outer Gods.
"Master, I have a theory. The soul ripples of these three Outer Gods might retain a certain consciousness, and these consciousnesses are extremely mad. That’s why Mephit needs a lot of humanity to stabilize her soul," Asa pondered, "Plus, having three soul ripples exacerbates her soul’s instability. I think there’s no need to restore all three simultaneously. Sealing two and restoring one is the best option."
Asa disagreed, "Wouldn’t that mean losing some of her combat strength? This woman might become a peak quasi-king like the master."
"Fool!" Asa rebuked, "Restoring all three requires an enormous amount of humanity and could lead to her demise or slipping into darkness. This could be why her threat to the Black Fog is so minimal. Restore one first, let her reach the quasi-king level, and after the master becomes a true king, consider restoring the other two. By then, the master will be a true king, able to suppress any unexpected outcomes."
Asa’s pages stiffened; it couldn’t find words to counter.
Rod pondered, "You’re right, which one should we choose?"
The Book of Knowledge suggested, "Blackening is the most dangerous, and mental control isn’t safe either. Go with Cold Ice."
Therefore, Mephit’s path was set. With Asa’s guidance, she focused on liberating one part of her soul, accomplishing what was previously impossible.
With the massive feeding of humanity, Mephit’s power began to grow rapidly. She hardly needed much time to digest or stabilize; when encountering occasional bottlenecks, she could break through quickly by consuming more humanity.
In just a few days, she consumed billions of humanity and nearly a thousand portions of the Flower of Humanity, growing from the second phase of a Half King to the peak of Half King, soon to step into Primordial.
Meanwhile, Trolian also experienced a massive wave of ascensions. The light of the Ascension Ceremony nearly covered the entire cathedral district. Under the leadership of the Great Shepherd Leader and Bossivale, hundreds of Ascension Ceremonies were completed every day, with hundreds of strong warriors stepping into a new stage. On the busiest day, there were nearly a thousand Primary Rank and High Rank Ascension Ceremonies, and more than three hundred new Half Kings and nearly seven hundred new Lords were born.
This rate of ascent is unimaginable, made possible by the vast resources that Rod brought back and continuously supplied.
During this time, Rod spent his days either feeding Mephit or fighting tirelessly on the front lines of the battlefield, warding off the black tide, delving into dark battles, and collecting relics.
As a peak quasi-king, even in the tumultuous darkness, nothing could hinder him. The presence of the Heavenly Sphere Clock allowed him to easily discover any relics buried underground. Rod traveled to nearly every lost ruin, leaving his footprints on the four Edge Continents beyond the Main Continent. He even ventured onto the endless seas, retrieving long-silent precious artifacts from the black waters.
In that boundless dark sea, innumerable dark monsters lurked, constantly evolving and becoming indescribably terrifying. But for a peak quasi-king, it wasn’t too big a problem. Rod’s Spiritual Power Multiple Melodies and Superstar Flash could evaporate entire oceans, and countless monsters were harvested by the Dark Devourer, becoming nourishment for the Dream Realm.
Rod grew stronger as he fought. His spiritual energy continuously increased, quickly reaching levels unimaginable before. Not only that, he collected lost source materials on the dark land.
With the help of the Heavenly Sphere Clock and the Book of Eternity, countless source materials were reclaimed, and countless dark phenomena were eradicated. Amidst this black fog tide, Rod shone with an undeniable brilliance.
When these countless source materials were integrated into the Dream Realm via the Source Stone Plate, Rod’s spiritual energy reached a new height.
