Rod replied briefly, "The chance for survival."

The pages of the Book of Knowledge froze in mid-air, its curiosity glancing outside the dreamscape. The pollution of the Higher Spirit Realm had completely vanished, the gray fog enveloped the entire space, the once narrow boundary land had now become the main body of the Higher Spirit Realm.

The pollution in the starry sky had also dissipated; although some black still lingered within sight, those were probably just the remaining fish that slipped through the net. With the powerful purification and devour abilities of the dreamscape, the Black Fog should soon be completely eradicated. They should have achieved the final victory in this battle that had lasted for billions of years. Why was the master still searching for the "chance for survival"?

"Master, master..." the Book of Knowledge hesitated for a moment before asking, "Do we still have enemies?"

Rod slightly nodded, "The Black Fog has not been exterminated at all."

He briefly told the Book of Knowledge what he had seen, and when it heard about the boundless Black Fog in the void and more of those indescribable terrifying existences, the entire book was frozen in place, murmuring, "No, this cannot be, how is this possible? Isn’t the First Divine King the source of the Black Fog? Didn’t we defeat Him, thus crushing the Black Fog?"

Rod gently shook his head, "Book, the First Divine King is the source of the Black Fog, but just one of the sources. Killing the First Divine King merely ended the source feedback, letting the Black Fog revert to its primal violent and chaotic state. True destruction is about to descend."

The Book of Knowledge frantically flipped through its pages, incredulously shouting, "How can this be? We’ve plundered and devoured so much Black Fog... the entire Higher Spirit Realm, the entire starry sky of Black Fog, could it still be less than what lies beyond the void?"

Rod cast his gaze toward the House of God, scrutinizing each creation within, softly saying, "Book, do you remember what we saw on the Godoyin Sacred Mountain? The vast Black Fog beyond the void."

The Book of Knowledge nodded; of course, it remembered. That was the first time they witnessed the vast tide of Black Fog.

"We once thought that the source of the Black Fog tide came from the void, which is correct, but the error was that what spread from the void was merely a wisp of that vast Black Fog, a remnant wave influenced and controlled by the First Divine King."

All the pages of the Book of Knowledge curled up, murmuring, "How can this be? How is this possible..."

Just then, the puppet returning to the dreamscape softly asked, "Master, if the Black Fog is so strong, then the First Divine King should have been able to destroy us long ago. Why didn’t He do so?"

"Indeed!" Asa, suddenly startled, jumped up and urgently asked, "Why didn’t He let all the Black Fog descend? In that case, wouldn’t the Sea of Source have been eroded long ago?"

Rod lightly shook his head, "Atos desired to erode the Sea of Source under His Will of Evil, controlling all the Source Laws. He is the original source of the Black Fog, a significant portion of which is influenced by His Will of Evil. Over the billions of years of evolution, however, the Black Fog has far surpassed its former form, reaching a level that is indescribable, incomprehensible, unspeakable. If these chaotic ultimate Black Fogs drown everything, He would be reduced to chaotic creatures like those indescribable terrors, with no will, only the instinct of madness and chaos, and His plan to be reborn as the God above gods, rewriting everything, would be shattered."

He paused for a moment and continued.

"Of course, His plan had long since failed. Even if He controlled the entire Sea of Source, He could only become a stronger King of Darkness, and after billions of years, His twisted will would eventually perish, reduced to a being akin to those monsters birthed by pure Black Fog."

At this moment, the dreamscape fell into an absolute silence, with the quiet air only faintly echoing the distant cheers coming from the Main Material World, but no one dared be sure it wasn’t their illusion.

Long after, the voice of the Book of Knowledge rang again, "Master, I cannot understand, why is the Black Fog so powerful? The Sea of Source’s 108 types of Primordial Law, it hasn’t even completely mastered them. Where does its power originate?"

Rod softly said, "Book, think back, at the very birth of the Black Fog, it was already immensely powerful. What’s even more terrifying is its diffusion and spread speed, which is an existence far scarier than exponential growth. Ancient humans exhausted all forces but still could not defeat the initial Black Fog, and now, after billions of years, how many rounds of evolution and progression has it completed, how many instances of distortion and mutation has it experienced? This is beyond our imagination. The most frightening part is that the Black Fog has eroded fragments of the Law Origin Ring, gaining the ability to corrupt and even create Source Laws; Source Laws are no longer a constraint to the Black Fog. They are recombining this universe, re-condensing into a supreme existence similar to the Law Origin Ring, while our dreamscape holds only a fragment of the Law Origin Ring. The Black Fog we devoured is less than one billionth of it."

The pages of the Book of Knowledge froze in mid-air; it couldn’t fully comprehend the master’s words, but it knew that the real Black Fog had already far surpassed their imagination, becoming an existence they couldn’t understand.

The puppet softly said, "Master, does that mean we defeated the First Divine King, only to release the true Black Fog? When He shouted in His final moments that we were destroying the only hope, is that what He meant?"

Rod heavily nodded. From this perspective, the existence of the First Divine King Atos was actually the reason humanity has survived to this day. And in these eons of time, the one battling humanity was not the Black Fog, but the First Divine King Atos.
