The Magus of Genesis

Episode 17 Growth/GROWTH

Cancer, I woke up much more to the sound of a wooden plank pounding out of me.

That's a signal that something broke in by the village.

You must have woken up at the same time as me. When I jumped out of the bunk, Nina was just about to come out of the next cabin the same way.

"The enemy is south, about a hundred meters from the edge of the village"

Running side by side, Nina hears the trees to determine their exact position.

"The number is -"

Try to block her words, and the trees in the woods fall down with glitter.

And a fence built around the village bounced off.

"What the hell"

Nina said with a fed up look as she looked at the beast that had come before her.

I guess it's because I have bad memories.

It was the armored bear that broke into the village.

Besides, one turn is bigger than anything Nina and I encountered when we met.

"Nina, you ask the villagers."

"Mm-hmm. Well, you'll be fine, but be careful..."

"Wait."

Leaving Nina with her back, a bell-like voice held me back as I stepped forward.

"Doctor. Can't you leave it to me?

Eye.

"... Okay. But don't push it."

"Yes."

Nodding joyfully, Eye comes out in front of me.

Neither did Nina pinch any particular objections.

The armored bear, who had stopped moving in my gaze, suddenly appeared in a small human appearance that seemed easy to give, roaring and attacking.

It is unusual for cautious and modest eyes to say from themselves.

The reason I didn't stop was because I wanted to respect it.

"My arms are like bears, my legs are like deer, my skin is like rocks, my strength is -"

It was simply because I and Nina both knew how strong she was.

"Like a dragon!

Eye takes the fist of an armored bear with her bare hands from the head. Its height difference was light three or four times, but instead of being pushed, the critical and eye arms push back the armored bear.

"Yee-haw!

With temper, the armored bear giant danced through the universe. The armored bear is thrown away for a few meters, rolling with a gobble and destroying the fence again.

"It's what wraps around the ice column clothes, what drops the leaves of autumn trees, what dissolves in the spring sunshine, it's the Spirit of Snow and Ice, Jack Frost. Grab it with your palms and dye it with that exhale!

An awesome snowstorm blows from both palms of the protruding eye. The armored bear was instantly overflowing with snow and frozen by the kachikochi.

"Tomorrow, it's a bear pot!

Taking a few seconds of remorse and making sure there was no sign of the armored bear moving out, Eye looked back and made him gut pose for a long time.

"……… I grew up with a woman. Well, I'm not going to win anymore."

"It's late. What are you doing here?"

Nina complains about D'Arga, who says with her body trembling.

"Hey, it has to be the curtain for me to come out."

He clapped his shoulders as he smiled and looked at the eye dragging the frozen armored bear.

Since he admitted to losing to me, he has mostly lowered his back, but recently he has a particularly special attitude as to whether he has been allowed to grow his eyes.

- Since then, five years.

It's been over six years since I left my eyes.

Although there was some certainty, in the end our village and the village of D'Arga merged.

Originally, the village of D'Arga was a group of people who were united by his power and charisma.

His entry under me brought the story together smoothly and without any major problems we became part of one village.

As we dated, what I had learned was that a man named D'Arga was crude, short-tempered and self-centered, but surprisingly gentle within him.

It may behave like a possession, but at least it won't hurt you without meaning, and I'll put my life on the line to protect you.

All in all, he's not such a bad guy if he gets inside.

The village of D'Arga was not the only one that merged like that.

Some villages were delighted to join us because we had little access to food on our own, while others were regarded as external enemies and attacked.

Dalga was the most helpful one at that time.

Anyway, I can see right from the looks of it that he's no match for this guy.

The same is true of me in the sense of being feared, but it was great to be of the same race. If the opponent is a dragon, the village that will fight against him once he is eaten will easily surrender if Dharga, who would barely be the same person.

... Well, the most effective thing was to threaten them both.

The population of the village, which has thus grown larger and larger, now exceeds a thousand. If it is the standard of this era, could we say it is almost the largest?

"You're the security captain for once, so hold on tight."

Nina's sermon continued while I was immersed in emotion in retrospect of such a thing.

"That's it. I hope you didn't turn me into a captain."

D'Arga turns her gaze to the eye.

"There are four powerful wizards in this village."

To be precise, to the young man who rushes over to her.

"Ai Nee, are you okay!? I'll hold it."

Ken boy, who has completely outgrown Eye's height, tries to grab Eye's dragging armored bear carcass.

"It's okay. About this."

But his hands were easily removed by Eye's arms, which he would not have put much effort into. She has dragon-like powers now, and I can't help it.

"Don't let me be too dangerous, Doctor."

I wonder, he points the spear this way.

"That being said, he said he would do it, because he also has the strength to do it. I'm not a kid anymore, and I can't stop you without a head."

When I said that, Ken glanced at me for saying something, and then ran away.

Nina keeps her mouth shut and pushes around my flank with her elbow.

"I know…………"

Life and magic school are smooth and full of sails, but the seeds of troubles are endless.

I was, yes, painful.

Outside the north of the village, there is a cave where Guys once lived.

That little cave, which seemed to fill a dozen people, was now being utilized as an ice chamber. You plug the entrance with clay and leave it in the small aisle to perform the magic of cold air on a regular basis.

I used to replace the freezer, but it's hard to do magic one by one, it's tense, and it's less insulating. The cave ice chamber solved those problems once and for all, but it was also possible to achieve them due, for one thing, to the improved magic of the eye.

Magic apparently has something like proper.

It was easy to see that I could not use the magic of cold air at all or that Nina was good at manipulating the trees, but there seemed to be something about people that didn't fit each type of magic either.

Dalga and Guy are refreshing except for the magic that strengthens their flesh, and Ken is good at flaming magic. And Ai was the best user of cold air magic in this village.

The hardest worker, she handles all sorts of magic well, not just cold air. But the cold air is all the better. She was the only one in the village who could use enough magic to cool down the whole cave. Even Nina can't have a snowstorm like she does.

"Hey, Eye."

Instead of the door I turned up my dripping fur, and to the eye that came out of the ice chamber I tried to speak, losing my words.

"Doctor. What's wrong?

Her clothes had several fine grains of ice on them, glittering in the light of the moon, creating a mysterious beauty like a goddess or a fairy.

"……… No."

I can't say I was in love, etc., I shake my head.

"I thought you fell in love with me."

But the thought is lightly discerned, and I cough one.

"Right. You're beautiful."

- Really.

"Thank you very much. I'm glad to compliment you."

Her smile, which floats when she says so, is really fascinating.

I sighed deeply that it was troublesome.

Only six years.

In all that time, that little, young girl had grown into a mature, beautiful woman.

The hair, which was a habitual shortcut, stretched lustrously into three braids to the waist.

The irregular body that was galloping like a boy went to that of a rounded woman.

From his face, he drifted out of awkwardness and gave a moist fragrance of colour.

"……… Will you not marry?

"I won't."

When I asked her, her smile disappeared and she immediately returned with a hard voice.

Because she's so attractive, the man who proposes doesn't even cut a pull.

But I knew I was turning it all down.

And maybe that's why.

"I... I want you to be happy."

Of course, marrying and having children is not the only thing that makes me happy.

But still, I wanted her to live feeling the happiness of the crowd.

"Doctor, I..."

It was then.

A little white stuff comes down from the top, and we look up at the sky reflexively.

"Snow………?

"Is this the snow? I've never tried it before."

The climate around here is warm and it never snowed before in winter. I've also seen snow in the mountains I took to understand snow and ice, but this should be the first time I've seen it come down.

"Ho, ho, ho"

A strange voice was heard from inside the ice room.

The guy rolled up the fur at the entrance in a gentle motion, again.

"Ho, ho, ho"

and ringing.

"Jack Frost............?

Eyes whisper pompously.

In response, the frozen fur froze.
