"I’m full. You take your time. I’ll head back to the study first." Lin Miao put down his chopsticks, wiped his mouth, and stood up directly.

Yuyao?

"Oh, I’m full too..." Baili Yuyao seemed to be reminded, only then putting down her chopsticks and standing up, her cheeks a little flushed.

They had spent an entire afternoon behind closed doors, finally drawing up a list, which was being used for the first time.

Due to priority, she was placed first.

Lin Miao’s hearing was sharp; even though he had turned away, the sounds behind him were still clear. Could these women really have made some sort of "overnight stay" list?

Does that mean in the future even this small bit of choice won’t be mine?

What a misfortune!

"Yuyao, come to my study; I have something to tell you." Lin Miao gave Baili Yuyao a way out with these words.

Matters like this could only be tacitly understood; saying it out loud would ruin the fun.

Lin Miao was truly curious about the embroidery house’s situation after he left. Being the son-in-law, he couldn’t really just become a "sowing" machine, could he?

Baili Bingyun had even mentioned privately that Baili Yuyao should at least bear her a daughter.

In other words, if the first child was a son, the next would have to be a daughter, even if it meant trying hard for one.

The vast assets of the embroidery house couldn’t be left without an heir; the most valuable asset being the skilled embroiderers. If a man were to inherit, that would be a big problem.

This was why the first generation of embroiderers had set the rule that the heir must be female.

Now wasn’t the time to fight for daughters.

In the study they spoke of many things, inevitably with intimate contact, and in the end, Baili Yuyao went limp in Lin Miao’s embrace and was carried into the room.

Peach blossoms bloomed, filling the room with springtime.

"Yuyao, how do you know these moves? I never taught you this." Lin Miao noticed that tonight Baili Yuyao was more proactive and charming, almost like a different person from half a month ago.

But she was still the same person, he was sure of that; one could not change the essence through disguise.

"It was Sister Miaoxue who taught me. She said you are so vigorous that if I were to serve you alone, I might not handle it well, so I should know a bit more, or else you wouldn’t be satisfied." Baili Yuyao said quietly, her face flushed.

"What else did she say?" Lin Miao was taken aback.

"Sister Miaoxue said that if it gets too overwhelming..." Baili Yuyao’s mouth opened slightly as she felt a strong force awakening, letting out a small gasp of surprise.

"Master, should I call Sister Miaoxue over?"

"No, Yuyao, don’t you want to try something new?"

"I, can I?"

...

"Yuyao is going to have a rough night; Master surely won’t let her off." In the game room, Si Miaoxue, Yue Mei’Er, Ji Fei’Er, and Sun Youwei gathered at a table.

Also battling through, the night’s hours were hard to endure.

There was another table next door, apparently no one wanted to disturb each other.

"Yuyao rarely gets the chance, she should take it. What, is even Sister Miaoxue jealous of this?" Yue Mei’Er said with a charming smile, discarding a "White Board." "You were the one eager to matchmake back then; it’s too late to say anything now."

"Wasn’t it to help us quickly establish a foothold in Li Hen City? Where else would we get such a great situation now?"

"Fei’Er, you haven’t accompanied him much. Why don’t you switch in later?"

"Okay." Ji Fei’Er surprisingly nodded earnestly in agreement.

"Ah, you really agreed!" The three women, including the innocent Sun Youwei, looked at Ji Fei’Er in shock. Did she not understand the jest?

Ji Fei’Er raised an eyebrow in surprise: "What, isn’t this what you wanted?"

"Sister Fei’Er, we were just speaking; don’t take it seriously!" Yue Mei’Er giggled, discarding a "One Bamboo."

"Chow!" Ji Fei’Er laid down two tiles.

"What time is it? Don’t play all night like yesterday; even if there’s nothing to do tomorrow, let’s not get up too late?" Sun Youwei decided to end the topic, not wanting the three women to continue this shameless chatter in front of her yet unexperienced self.

"It must be midnight; how about we play two more rounds and then disperse?"

"Alright, two rounds should be enough..."

That first night, no one broke the rules and even Lianxin and Liansuo sisters did not come to greet them.

Even early the next morning, it was Lin Miao who woke first and called for hot water.

Baili Yuyao was still sound asleep; she was too tired, every inch of her was relaxed, so much so that she didn’t even want to open her eyes if someone were to sell her now.

"Junior brother, you’re too much. Yuyao just received favor, and you didn’t hold back." While having breakfast, Sun Youwei quietly reproached.

"She insisted on being strong, what else could I do?"

"I mean you, don’t you think about the future and just act impulsively?" Sun Youwei glared at him with reproachful eyes.

Lin Miao gave a sheepish smile, understanding the concern from his senior, though she didn’t grasp the situation fully, not having the experience herself.

"Master, that woman called Le Hui is here again?" Just as they were eating, Mr. Xie entered and reported courteously.

"Le Hui?"

It’s Jing Hui, Lin Miao remembered. Jing Hui used her secular name in Dongshan City; otherwise, how could a nun stay at an inn without identity papers?
