The Only Cultivator in a World of Hunters

Chapter 66: Ziz vs White [1]

Ziz had already flown quite far away by now, but he still hadn’t seen anyone anywhere and could only see a bunch of stupid monsters that didn’t even know how to communicate.

What’s the point of showing off his strength in front of this bunch of trash? They couldn’t even say a few ’truthful’ words that sounded nice, so Ziz couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to them.

"It’s so boring. Why aren’t there any humans in this dungeon? That bunch I sensed earlier has already left. Damn it, you mortals don’t know how to please me?"

Just now, Ziz had clearly sensed a group of humans inside the dungeon, but as soon as he chased after them, they left.

Ziz also wanted to chase after them into the outer world because there were even more humans outside for him to show off his strength to, but unfortunately, he was restricted.

The farther he moved away from Nexus, the less strength he could use. If he left the dungeon, there was a good chance his actual strength would be no different from a chicken.

If he was that weak, how could he show off his strength? Surely, if any human saw him, they would definitely laugh at Ziz.

"Oh, there’s a new mortal. Not bad speed, huh."

Ziz’s gloomy expression instantly became extremely relaxed. The stronger the mortal was, the more humans they would definitely tell about the greatness of the sky lord Ziz after leaving the dungeon.

Ziz immediately changed direction and used his maximum speed to prevent the person who had just entered this dungeon from leaving before he could meet them.

Quite a distance away, a young woman dressed in white with a hood and white wings was flying at an extremely fast speed.

Even though her eyes were covered by a thick piece of white cloth, she flew without hitting any obstacles at all. Moreover, it seemed like she could actually see through that thick cloth and see everything around her.

Suddenly, White stopped, her eyes turning toward the direction Ziz was rushing toward at an extremely fast speed. Ziz’s presence was beyond anything she could imagine.

"Something like that shouldn’t exist in a low-rank dungeon. I can’t let a monster this powerful stay here."

White’s holy expression quickly darkened. She accelerated straight toward Ziz with terrifying killing intent.

"Hahaha, how interesting. You can feel the aura I’m giving off and still dare to speed up toward me? Courage is good, but you’re not SSS-rank."

White’s actions made Ziz even more interested. Even though Ziz couldn’t use much of his power on Earth, aside from SSS-rank hunters who could barely be considered worth taking seriously, he didn’t think much of the other hunters if it came to a one-on-one fight.

Of course, even if every S-rank hunter and above on Earth came to fight Ziz, he still wouldn’t die. But not dying didn’t mean he couldn’t lose. How could the sky lord Ziz endure the humiliation of losing to a bunch of mortals?

At such terrifying speeds, in less than a minute, the two of them were only about twenty meters apart.

The two looked at each other. White had a slightly strange expression as she just blankly floated in midair, while Ziz kept releasing a terrifying aura as if his energy was endless.

Fire and lightning erupted from the center of Ziz’s body, blasting around wildly. The sparks falling to the ground and the bolts of lightning striking the tree trunks caused even the strange trees withered inside the dungeon to catch fire.

"Mortal..."

"What is this adorable thing?!"

Ziz had just tried to use the most dignified voice possible to highlight his greatness. But no matter how he spoke in this body, his voice still sounded way too cute.

"What?"

White’s reaction left Ziz dumbfounded, making him forget what line he was supposed to say. At least she should’ve been terrified, right? Why was she so happy instead?

The murderous look on White’s face from earlier instantly disappeared, replaced by the bright expression of a little girl who had found a cute creature right up her alley.

"So damn cute! It’s a little unfortunate that you’re black instead of white, but can I give you a hug?"

She had wanted to kill Ziz just moments ago, yet now White’s attitude had completely flipped one hundred and eighty degrees. After all, she was an S-rank hunter, so she was strong and confident. Therefore, even after seeing Ziz’s terrifying destructive power, she didn’t care.

Having been through quite a few dungeons and encountered all kinds of monsters, from ugly to beautiful, this was the first time White had seen something as strange and yet so perfectly to her liking as Ziz.

Even though her eyes were covered by a piece of white cloth, Ziz could easily see the possessiveness in her eyes. How could the great Ziz possibly accept this?

"How dare a lowly mortal look down on the sky lord?! Since you’re asking to die, I’ll grant your wish."

Ziz was heavily restricted in many ways right now. It wasn’t that he couldn’t kill people, but the problem was that the person had to intend to kill Nexus or Nexus’s disciple first.

If he killed someone on his own, the system would use its rules to impose a punishment that Ziz couldn’t avoid. Ziz wasn’t stupid enough to kill some random mortal and give the system a chance to act superior to him.

Ziz looked quite aggressive right now, but at most, he could beat White up and leave it at that. He couldn’t actually kill her.

"As expected, no matter how cute a monster is, its temper is still so aggressive. But it’s fine, this is just a small matter. Even if you’re an S-rank monster, I don’t believe I can’t capture you and bring you back as a pet."

White shook her head but still had no intention of killing Ziz. It had taken her so long to find a pet she liked, so of course she had to ’tame’ it.

"How dare a lowly mortal have the idea of making the great sky lord Ziz into a pet? Absolutely unforgivable!"

White’s arrogant words had already gone beyond what Ziz could tolerate. Since she was so confident, Ziz would naturally use all his strength to return the favor.

A tiny black flame appeared when Ziz opened his mouth. Despite being extremely small, its terrifying temperature was like that of the sun. From that flame, a pillar of fire shot straight toward White at incredible speed.
