In the following days, Qin Fan cast aside everything unrelated to his family. He did not interfere or even inquire whether any sparks flew at Ma Yunbin and Chen Yunyun’s dinner.

During the day, he took Yinuo to accompany his parents, his sister, and Aunt Lan on a tour of Jiangzhou. At night, he and Yinuo shared the same bed.

On the early morning of January 4th, the last day of the New Year’s holiday, Qin Fan and Jiang Yino caught the earliest flight. Over an hour later, the two of them exited the airport and boarded a ride-hailing car, heading straight back to Jinling University.

"Yino, I won’t go in. I’ve got some things to handle!" At the entrance of Jinling University, Qin Fan gently grasped Jiang Yino’s arms and said with a faint smile.

"Things to handle? How long do you plan to be away this time?" A forlorn expression immediately surfaced on her face as Jiang Yino asked dejectedly.

She didn’t ask what he needed to handle, but rather how long he would be away. This question alone was a clear display of her profound wisdom.

"It might be a while! Call me if you miss me! As long as I’m not busy, I’ll definitely make time for some sweet talk! Be good, and when your husband comes back next time, I’ll take you soaring to ecstasy!" Qin Fan joked with a mischievous grin.

"You bastard! Watch what you say!" Hearing this, Jiang Yino instinctively glanced around, as if the awkward incident on the plane had left a psychological scar.

"I am being careful! Alright, Yino, let’s leave it at that! Wait for me to return!" As he spoke, Qin Fan leaned forward and placed a deep, affectionate kiss on Yino’s forehead.

He was well aware that Jiang Yino was reluctant to see him go and didn’t want him to leave, but it couldn’t be helped. The upcoming itinerary was inevitable.

"Alright then, you should go! Be careful! Don’t make me wait too long! I’m afraid I’ll start to panic!" Gazing into his eyes, which were filled with tenderness, Jiang Yino spoke with wistful reluctance.

"Then I’m off!"

With that, he turned and walked away under Jiang Yino’s watchful gaze. She kept her eyes on his departing figure until it disappeared from sight. Only then did she sigh, turn around, and forlornly walk back onto the campus.

Choosing not to use any vehicle for travel, the moment he was clear of the Jinling University area, Qin Fan unleashed his unrestricted Golden Core speed. He shot forward like a meteor, streaking past the towering mountains that flanked the highway. Less than half an hour later, he reached the Shenzhen customs checkpoint connecting to Xiangjiang.

"Did something just flash by?" one of the checkpoint security officers asked, his eyes wide with astonishment.

"Damn it, didn’t you sleep well last night? What flashed by?" another officer retorted.

"I really felt a gust of wind sweep past me!" the first officer insisted, turning his head to look again, but he saw nothing.

"Little Li, you must be seeing things because you’re exhausted! HAHA, we know you got a very demanding girlfriend recently, but you need to pace yourself! Don’t let her drain you dry! HAHA!" another officer chimed in, teasing him.

Shaking his head, the officer named Li muttered to himself, Was it really just an illusion?

Meanwhile, Qin Fan had already passed through the customs checkpoint. Upon setting foot in Xiangjiang territory, he slowed his pace. He didn’t call to ask where Lai Zhuge was. Instead, facing the bustling Xiangjiang Island, he immediately spread out his Divine Sense. After locking onto Lai Zhuge’s aura, he began to walk at a leisurely pace. His calm smile was full of casual ease, as if he wasn’t in a rush to deal with the Demon Dragon’s aura. It seemed he wanted to properly tour Xiangjiang, a place renowned as one of the Four Asian Tigers.

「Xiangjiang, Central.」

On the thirty-third floor of a skyscraper in the bustling city center, a large conference room was filled with people. Flanking the conference table were two distinct groups: on one side were the Magic Masters from Xiangjiang, and on the other, the Magic Masters from Jiangzhou.

"Lai Shenxiang, it’s been four days! The reinforcements you mentioned are still nowhere to be seen. Tomorrow, the Demon Dragon’s aura is going to spread, and you’re still telling us to sit tight? I have to question the motives of you people from Jiangzhou!" a sharply dressed young man of about thirty said with a cold smile.

"Master Zhou is right! You all arrived from Jiangzhou on the first, and now it’s the fourth. The Demon Dragon’s aura is about to erupt, yet during this time, you’ve not only done nothing but also held us back, making us wait with you. What do you people want? What are you trying to pull? If you don’t want to get involved, just say so! We in Xiangjiang won’t beg you for help! But there’s no need for you to act like this!" another master from Xiangjiang added, his face filled with indignant displeasure.

"Yes, what are you people from Jiangzhou thinking?"

"Do you really think this is a vacation to Xiangjiang?"

"It’s one thing if you won’t help, but you’re actively preventing us from taking action! What are your intentions?"

"You must give us an explanation today!"

The comments from the thirty-year-old Master Zhou seemed to open the floodgates, as the rest of the Xiangjiang masters erupted in angry questioning.

Across from them, the masters from Jiangzhou all wore sullen, gloomy expressions.

To hell with this! If we weren’t afraid the Demon Dragon’s aura would spread to the mainland, we wouldn’t have bothered getting involved in this mess! Our goodwill is being treated like dirt? Damn!

"Fine! Quit your damn endless nagging! Just go! No one is going to stop you anymore!"
