Aldrian nodded and thought for a moment before speaking.
"I think it would be much better if I move to another place if I want to meet the other members of the resistance group. We have already caused enough chaos here, and this city is no longer an ideal meeting place since it has attracted too much attention."

Aldrian smiled and nodded.
"Alright, then it is decided. We will go to Purple Lotus City after you take care of the matters in this city. And also..."

"This is Wei Lang, or rather, Pei Lang, the boy that I saved. I believe that with your identity, you can make sure he will not be disturbed while we are gone. He can stay in this inn until the situation becomes much better."
Shen Yuan raised an eyebrow and observed Pei Lang, while Pei Lang stood stunned after hearing Aldrian’s words. He did not focus on why Aldrian could speak to the Young Sect Master of the Purple Lotus Sect in such a manner.
Instead, his attention was on something else.
"Mister, you want to leave?" Pei Lang asked Aldrian.
Aldrian smiled and nodded.
"Yes. While I am gone, you can stay here and wait until the situation becomes much better. Well, if you want to take a stroll outside, you can do that as well. I will leave some means for you so that you can move around freely, but you still need to be careful of those followers of Avergis."
But then Aldrian noticed Pei Lang’s expression turn sad.
"What’s wrong, Pei Lang?" Aldrian asked with a smile.
Pei Lang released a sigh.
"Well, I’m just a little sad that Mister already has to leave. I know that Mister has much bigger matters that you need to take care of. I just hope that Mister succeeds in whatever you are doing."
Aldrian still smiled when he heard the dispirited tone in Pei Lang’s voice.
"Why do you look so sad and sound so dispirited? It’s not like this will be our last meeting. Moreover, I haven’t even introduced you to the person who will help you grow stronger," he said as he walked closer to Pei Lang.
"Don’t be sad. We will meet again in the future, perhaps in a much better situation where you can move freely without having to worry about anything at all. You will be able to possess your praying artifact for Lei Batian openly without worrying that anyone will harm you."
Aldrian ruffled Pei Lang’s hair.
Pei Lang’s heart trembled.
"Will that day really come, Mister?"
Aldrian nodded.
"That day will come."
He answered without any hesitation, his voice filled with confidence.
Pei Lang’s eyes glimmered, and he could not help but imagine a future where he no longer had to worry about his status as a fugitive who had escaped from prison or as a follower of the evil god. He could grow stronger, live a better life, and rebuild the Pei Family just as his parents had dreamed.
But then he returned to reality and looked at Shen Yuan with a confused yet wary expression.
Aldrian, who knew what was on Pei Lang’s mind, looked at Shen Yuan.
"You do not have to worry about him. He already knows about you, and he is on our side. He is one of my followers, and he will help us. You will be safe here."
Aldrian’s words made Pei Lang widen his eyes in astonishment.
The Young Sect Master of the Purple Lotus Sect was Aldrian’s follower? He would even help him, a fugitive who had committed the gravest sin in the eyes of the temple?

Shen Yuan smiled at him.
"You do not have to worry, Pei Lang. I will make sure that you remain safe until the day you can move freely without worry. I will inform the employees of this inn not to disturb you, so you can stay here peacefully while we are gone."
Not long after, Pei Lang returned to his room while Aldrian discussed their next destination and how they would gather the resistance members.
After an hour, Shen Yuan decided to leave the inn, as he had already spent enough time there. Before leaving, he gave a note to the receptionist instructing the inn’s employees not to disturb the three rooms where Aldrian’s group was staying.
With a note from him, the employees of the inn would not disturb Pei Lang while he stayed there. If anyone from outside attempted to disturb Pei Lang, even those involved in investigating the assassins, the employees would stop them without hesitation.
Unless the person barging in possessed a status much higher than the Young Sect Master of the Purple Lotus Sect, Pei Lang would be safe.
And there were very few people like that in this domain. Even the elders of the Purple Lotus Sect stood much lower in the hierarchy than the Young Sect Master.
After leaving the inn, Shen Yuan took a stroll through the city with ease and a joyful heart.
The next thing he needed to do was spread the news about Aldrian.
