I was in Captain Zagil's captain's office.

Something tells me Captain Zagil needs me.

"Everyone seems excited in the battle against the Dark Knight..."

"Huh? Ah, yes"

After entering the room, Captain Zagil muttered about that.

I snort slowly at that word. Indeed, the battle against the Dark Knight had led me and everyone to seek strength.

It's a simple story, but I thought we had to be strong enough to deal with it because of the emergence of a strong enemy.

"Speaking of which, does Mr. Gogassa seem to be working out again, too?

"Really?

"Oh, he regretted losing power to the Dark Knight quite a bit"

Apparently, Mr. Gogassa is working out again, too.

They all think the same.

Mr. Gogassa lost by force from the front to Googhan.

It would be very regrettable to lose in an area where I was confident.

For that reason, it's only natural that I want to work out again.

"Well, it's time to get down to business"

"Yes."

So, that's what Captain Zagil has said.

Captain Zagil called me for something.

"To you, Argus... no, is it easier to understand than to say Frost? I thought I'd tell you about him."

"Are you talking about Frost...... then, please"

"Oh......"

Captain Zagil tells me about Frost.

The two used to fight as knights at the same time. I guess you know a lot from that. I want to hear that story.

"Frost... formerly known as Argus. Me and him, we used to belong in the same unit. He's my junior. When I first came in, I took care of everything."

"You were..."

Apparently, Frost is a junior to Captain Zagil.

From the conversation, I thought it was sync or something, but was Frost a junior?

"He was an excellent knight. Because of his talent, he was making successive achievements and becoming known as a newcomer to expectations in the Knights"

"I see..."

Frost once seemed like a brilliant knight.

The words are somewhat understandable.

I fought and felt, but Frost was considerably more powerful than the other dark knights.

For that reason, being a good knight is convincing.

"But it didn't seem that good for a human being in the upper echelons at the time that an anonymous knight would succeed"

"Huh?"

I was surprised at Captain Zagil's words.

It is unthinkable that the captainship of the Knights was such a person.

The people I know who stand above are more noble people. For this reason, I may find the words very uncomfortable.

"Argus' personality wasn't good either. From that time on, I tended to look down a bit at others"

In Captain Zagil's words, I changed my mind a little.

If Frost was not much of a different person than he is now, some parts are a little understandable.

To the attitude of looking down on people, I guess you can't help but think so.

But there is still a part of me that wonders.

"Of course, we don't do anything that directly harms us. Rather, as much as I pryed into my complexion and plotted to manipulate it as I wanted. But Argus could see through it."

"It's..."

"Oh, it would have been a mistake. What they should have done was to make Argus' way right. There must have been a way to regenerate the spirit, even if it wasn't strength."

Apparently, the captainship at the time showed all the bad hands.

More, if I had faced Frost from the front, there would have been a different result.

"We know each other, even if we don't tell each other, the situation in our bellies. This wasn't very good. It turned out to be something else."

"Later..."

"Oh, we were talking in the fight. It's about the crusade mission."

So, Captain Zagil separates words once.

From here on out, that would be the point of the story.

I will breathe slowly and wait for Captain Zagil's next words.

"That was when a powerful demon appeared. The Knights decided to confront that demon with an elite force"

"I see..."

Captain Zagil began to talk about the incident that rocked Frost tremendously.

For starters, it seems that a powerful demon has emerged.

"The battle was a very tragic one. The demons that emerged were more powerful than we thought."

"There's such a powerful demon?

"Oh, you were a demon I've never seen. So, by that demon, the troops got pretty exhausted. So the captains' instructions were confusing, and the troops were on the verge of destruction."

Apparently, the battle was rather harsh.

Captain Zagil's sad voice color stands for it.

"But I and Argus and other knights worked together and managed to defeat the demon. But this is where the problem started."

"Yep..."

It seems Captain Zagil and Frost's activism have enabled him to defeat the demon.

But this is where the problem comes from. That's what I heard when I was fighting Frost.

Frost's despair of the Holy Knight is due in part to the destruction of the troops, but in the actions of the upper echelons from here on out.

"The upper management pushed Argus to blame for the destruction of the troops. Frost didn't take orders, so the troops were destroyed."

"Oh no..."

"Naturally, the knights protested, including me, who fought together. But without that being heard, Argus was banished from the Knights."

Frost has been pushed to account by the upper management and kicked out of the Knights.

I don't think it's possible to hear how that happened. That's not acceptable, such as pushing responsibility on a subordinate.

"I can't believe those who do that were in the upper echelons..."

"Oh. Such a man stood on top at the time. It's abominable..."

I can hear Captain Zagil's angry feelings in his voice.

Perhaps one of Frost's cases was unforgivable to Captain Zagil. The emotions are natural, too.

"To the guy leaving the Knights, I couldn't do anything. I was desperately protesting against the upper echelons, but it was never acceptable."

"It's..."

"Argus was telling me when he left. I despaired of the Knights. You better get out of here..."

"Captain Zagil......"

Frost's words were so sad.

That's enough for me to know what I'm hearing here and now.

I can't forgive him for being a dark knight and trying to crush the Holy Knight.

But I can't help but feel sorry for him.

"But I didn't leave. Because he stayed in the Knights and decided to smash the upper management. As a result, I succeeded in assuming my current position and convicting the filthy."

"Yes......"

Even after Frost left, Captain Zagil seems to have stayed with the Knights.

I guess that was an action to get rid of the Knights' darkness. To that enthusiasm, remember respect.

"But then again, I didn't get any good results. Those whom I have forfeited have lost their lives."

"Huh?"

"I don't know why I couldn't forgive myself for being convicted or my heart broken. But as it turns out, I took their lives. So, Argus didn't even come home..."

Captain Zagil, by his iron mask, cannot see his expression.

But I know what Captain Zagil looks like now.

"I think Captain Zagil was right."

"What...?

"If I hadn't pleaded guilty to that, everything wouldn't have come to light. Then the darkness of Frost's heart never cleared..."

"Slade......"

To my words, I thought Captain Zagil only laughed a little.

I can't see my face, but that's what I thought.
