Feng Hao rose from the sand and gazed at the distant sea horizon, his heart a tangle of emotions.

Earth’s current situation was clearly dire, but there was no way for him to return anytime soon. According to the Old City Lord, the outer-realm monsters lived in the Time Realm, a dimension outside the universe. Once they began their invasion, their numbers would only continue to grow.

And Earth, located in the outer reaches of the universe, would clearly be the first to bear the brunt of the monstrous assault. This left him, so far away in the Ancient Cang Realm, deeply worried.

’Solos, Dream Dragon Immortal... You can’t let me down!’

Feng Hao let out a soft sigh. With his heart in turmoil, all he could do was pin his hopes on Solos and Dream Dragon Immortal.

As some of the top-tier players from the game *Mage*, they were absolutely the hope of all of Earth.

He didn’t know why the ancestor in his sea of consciousness had created *Mage*, but judging by the current situation, the game had not only given the people of Earth an early introduction to the magecraft cultivation system, but had also nurtured a huge pool of elite players.

The players who had participated in the Apotheosis War, in particular, were the absolute elite of the elite.

Take himself, for instance. On pure skill alone, he could steamroll Mages of the same rank. And that was without factoring in his racial talent. If he were to include the power of his [Black Eyes], ordinary fifth and Sixth-rank Mages would be one-shotted in his presence.

And back on Earth, there was a whole host of elite gamers whose skills were on par with his. If those people were given the chance to develop their potential, their combat strength would be absolutely astonishing.

Of course, that wasn’t the most important part. The real key was the bloodline talents!

According to the definitions in many books, bloodline talents were also known as racial talents. And if it was a racial talent, it couldn’t possibly be unique to a single individual.

’In other words, my [Black Eyes] talent isn’t unique to me.’ According to his analysis, anyone of Asian descent could potentially awaken the [Black Eyes] talent. It was just a matter of when.

Of course, Feng Hao’s mutated ability was an exception. The power to graft talents was just too overpowered. If everyone from Earth could do it, the entire universe would probably be conquered by them in no time.

Furthermore, looking at Solos’s [Blue Eyes] talent, it seemed to be the talent for Caucasians.

Recalling the image of the ancestor in his sea of consciousness, he could roughly infer a few things.

The ancestor’s eyes were mismatched—one black, one blue. This meant that Asians had inherited the Black-Eye bloodline, and Caucasians had inherited the Blue-Eye bloodline. Ultimately, they all shared a single ancestor.

As for what black people inherited, he wasn’t quite sure.

However, from the bits and pieces he’d heard from Solos, Feng Hao had gathered some information. The gist was that black people possessed immense combat strength, with a unique, innate advantage when it came to their strength genes.

Thinking of this, Feng Hao couldn’t help but grow curious about the ancestor in his sea of consciousness.

After all, all three of humanity’s bloodlines on Earth originated from this mysterious ancestor. This meant the ancestor possessed all three bloodlines simultaneously... ’No,’ he thought, correcting himself, ’to be more precise, it should be a single bloodline, with each of the three peoples inheriting a different part of it.’

The ability of [Black Eyes]: doubled concealment.

The ability of [Blue Eyes]: doubled perception.

As for the ability of black people, while he wasn’t certain, it was likely a talent related to strength.

It was hard to imagine just how powerful the ancestor who possessed all three abilities must have been. Or rather, what kind of race were they?

’Forget it. What’s the point of thinking about all this?’ Feng Hao sighed and shook his head, deciding not to dwell on it any longer.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he focused on the contractual link within his Genetic Tree and quickly sensed the direction of Three-second Fire.

However, just as he was about to go find Three-second Fire, it came flying back with a WHOOSH. Its entire body flickered with fiery light, and a wicked grin played on its lips. "Kid, your Third Grandfather has decided he doesn’t want to go back. Let’s just part ways here!"

Feng Hao rolled his eyes. "Are you fucking asking for a beating?" he said irritably.

"No fun." Three-second Fire drooped resentfully, pouting as it complained, "Can’t you just play along for once? Just let me have my badass moment, is that so hard?"

"Cut the crap," Feng Hao said, still annoyed. "We’re heading home."

"Don’t be in such a hurry!" Three-second Fire said reluctantly. "I was just flying a loop around the area and found a lot of cool stuff. There’s one thing in particular that I know you’ll be interested in."

Feng Hao paused, his eyes lighting up. "You found treasure?"

"That’s right." Three-second Fire flashed a smug grin, then turned and floated ahead to lead the way. "Follow me."

Feng Hao wasn’t about to refuse. He hurried to catch up. ’I can’t believe I’d stumble across treasure on a random trip to a Secret Realm,’ he thought. ’Has the Goddess of Fortune finally taken a shine to me?’

"Don’t keep me in suspense! Hurry up and tell me what kind of treasure it is," Feng Hao pressed eagerly.

Three-second Fire put on a mysterious air. "It’s a very high-quality big baby. The absolute cream of the crop."

"What ’big baby’? I’m a fucking ’little baby,’ then!" Feng Hao retorted, completely exasperated.

"Er." Three-second Fire paused, then had a moment of realization. "In your human terms, it would be called a [Divine Soul]."

"What did you say? A Divine Soul?" Feng Hao exclaimed in shock.

"That’s right, a Divine Soul," Three-second Fire said smugly. "So, how are you going to thank me?"

"Cut the crap and take me there, now! Don’t let him get away," Feng Hao said, his breathing growing ragged.

"Relax. This whole island is his turf. He won’t run unless he has absolutely no other choice." Three-second Fire grinned confidently and sped up, flying toward the dense jungle ahead.

Feng Hao followed close behind, so excited he could barely contain himself. It couldn’t be helped; he had never even dreamed he would one day encounter a Divine Soul.

If he could obtain this Divine Soul, it would be like acquiring half a piece of endgame gear ahead of schedule. The very thought was thrilling.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Led by Three-second Fire, Feng Hao darted swiftly through the dense jungle...

In the center of the island stood a narrow cave, its entrance obscured by vegetation. A buzzing sound emanated from it from time to time.

A few minutes later, a cluster of golden-red light streaked through the air. It was Three-second Fire, who had arrived first.

It floated smugly to the mouth of the cave, then shouted arrogantly at the opening, "Listen up, big baby! Get your ass out here for your Third Grandfather!"

WHOOSH!

The next moment, a ray of golden light shot out from the cave. A small, humanoid figure shimmering with golden light appeared before Three-second Fire and sneered arrogantly, "I didn’t expect you, you Little Flame, would dare come back. What? Do you want this master to give you another beating?"

Three-second Fire’s face flushed red. It gritted its teeth and retorted, "Damn it! If your Third Grandfather hadn’t just burned through his essence, you think you’d be able to lay a hand on me?"

"Heh. Forget about you being at the primary stage. Even if you evolved to the intermediate stage, I’d still beat you senseless!" the little golden figure snorted.

"Dammit," Three-second Fire fumed, flustered and exasperated. "If I don’t devour you today, then my name isn’t Three-second Fire!"

"You alone?" the golden figure scoffed.

But instead of anger, a smirk appeared on Three-second Fire’s face. It puffed up its chest and said, "Of course not me alone. But what if there’s one more person?"
