"What’s the scoop? I want in." Emilio Greenwood excitedly squeezed in, wearing simple jeans and a black T-shirt, looking young and handsome.
Sienna Yu, whose family background and status weren’t particularly prominent in the circle, had been sticking close to Chloe Winston since joining the crew. As all were women, sticking close didn’t cause any scandals. Seeing Emilio coming over and considering his father’s influence in the Entertainment Sector, she whispered, "I heard we’re going to stay in a Holiday Village villa for our shoot in Hunan."
"No way, the shoot is at least two months. If we all stay in the Holiday Village villas, the crew will be so broke they’d have to sell their pants," Emilio laughed exaggeratedly. "My dad said he wanted me to rough it with the crew. Which part of staying in a villa is roughing it?"
Emilio’s dad used to be the biggest investor in this drama.
Sienna’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Chloe, revealing the insider info, "Emilio, just because your dad isn’t investing anymore doesn’t mean others aren’t. I just heard from the director that we’ve got a new investor. Director Faust was all smiles."
"Holy crap, are we really having a luxury package, staying in villas with butler service?" Emilio and Sienna simultaneously looked at Chloe. Recently, that noticeable Rolls-Royce had been parked outside the set every day. Although no one had seen Constantine Stewart, with that kind of bigwig visiting daily, even toes could figure out it was Mr. Stewart with the new investment.
Chloe Winston is truly blessing the whole crew.
Chloe was stunned for a moment and asked, "Why are you all looking at me?"
"Chloe, you’re really doing us a big favor, thank you." Emilio clasped his hands and grinned cheekily.
"Sis, let me hold your leg, I’ll cry sweetly and even keep your bed warm," Sienna batted her big eyes adorably.
"What are you all gathered here for? It’s time to board." Victoria, the leading actress, came over to call them. With humble beginnings, she had a cold demeanor and was good at maintaining appropriate distance from the crew, which was a form of self-protection.
"We’re holding onto the lucky charm’s leg," Sienna laughed.
Chloe Winston was undoubtedly the crew’s lucky charm. She played the third female lead, but her status was by no means lower than the leading lady’s.
As they said this, Chloe suddenly felt a chill in her chest. Could Constantine Stewart be coming along too?
When the crew arrived in Hunan by chartered flight and reached the picturesque Holiday Village, they began allocating living arrangements. The standalone villas were generally shared by two lead actors. Even those without much fame could get a holiday cottage, but Chloe alone got an exclusive supreme villa.
Everyone there was seasoned. Even actors and actresses sometimes had to rough it during filming. Having anticipated tough conditions for on-location shooting, unexpectedly, they had moved into the Holiday Village first, and would be staying for two months.
"I’ve been in this business for seven or eight years, and this is the first time I’ve stayed in a standalone villa while filming."
"Old Faust, the scenery here is indeed beautiful, but what about the food?"
"International five-star culinary standards, authentic Holiday Village offerings. Don’t worry, we’ve got sponsorship all the way, no shortage of funds." Faust wished he could bring his wife and kids over for the shoot. Two months here in the Holiday Village is better than living like a deity.
Once Faust had settled the accommodation issues, he happily went to find Constantine Stewart.
Constantine Stewart also stayed in a standalone villa at the Holiday Village. When Faust arrived, he noticed the villa’s door was open, and a 40-something British butler was overseeing the thorough disinfection of the villa, while the man sat lazily in the garden playing games on his phone.
On the garden table, there was steaming coffee and afternoon tea with fruits.
"Mr. Stewart, do you have time for dinner tonight? Some young actors from the crew admire you, especially Chloe Winston," Faust, ever the savvy one, prepared to organize a dinner that night, grinning as he did. Whether the bigwig could win over the young lady was none of his concern.
Constantine, who was beta-testing a soon-to-launch mobile game, responded indifferently, "Let’s have dinner together then. I brought a chef from the Imperial City."
"Great, great, then I won’t disturb you anymore." Faust went back cheerfully to enjoy a massage.
Then he saw Chloe Winston dragging her suitcase over, remembering that her place was right next to Mr. Stewart’s. The area had only two supreme villas, in an excellent location, so he couldn’t help but smile and say, "Chloe, after this drama, do you have any scripts you want to shoot? We could discuss our next project together."
