As soon as the show announced the game rules, the four tough male guests trapped in the room turned pale. Wait for the female guests to rescue them?

Those staff members of the show team and the extras invited from who knows where, for filming effects, had their faces painted like ghosts, wearing tattered clothes, resembling real zombies quite a bit. It was a miracle if those delicate female guests weren’t frightened to death, and they were supposed to save them?

And with 20 zombies surrounding the house, stepping outside would surely lead to being pounced on by a horde of malicious zombies and getting eliminated instantly. It was a deadlock.

In the abandoned town, the assistant director, Little Shi, diligently handed a bottle of mineral water to Director Daniel, excitedly saying, "Director, this place really sets the mood. It’s not far from the vibe in ’The Walking Dead.’ If I were here alone, I’d definitely cry out of fear."

"Of course, this used to be a military base, later abandoned. The government left it idle, so they opted to rent it out. Eventually, it became a filming location, specifically for sci-fi and zombie films. Foreigners love shooting futuristic-themed movies," Director Daniel smiled and said, "Luckily, there were sponsorships from various big shots. Otherwise, renting such a large site would really strain the show’s budget."

"But isn’t this episode a bit too harsh? What if everyone gets wiped out? We might just have to return after a day," Little Shi chuckled. It was their first time staff members played zombies, each of them twisted their necks and walked like robots, surrounding the small house completely, very excited. Playing zombies and scaring people turned out to be so much fun.

Just as they were talking, Daniel’s walkie-talkie sounded, with staff from the airport reporting: "Director, Chloe Winston took Wendy Starling, driving the Beetle, heading directly towards your location. Luo Yiren and Vicky Webb stayed on the plane."

"Proceed according to the original plan," Daniel said.

The show team wasn’t too harsh, at least leaving some food and water on the plane. Spend three days hiding on the plane, and as long as they didn’t act recklessly, they could survive safely. After all, most zombies were in the town, only two zombies were left at the airport convenience store.

"Here they come, get to work, if you guys get knocked down by two female celebrities, you might as well commit seppuku to save face," Daniel squinted his small eyes, cursing with a laugh.

The old Beetle couldn’t go fast, cruising along at 40 mph. Chloe fiddled around and found she could still tune into the radio, switched to a music channel, and hit the road cheerfully.

"Chloe, aren’t you scared? I find this place really desolate. If playing music attracts zombies, what then?" Wendy felt her whole body tingle, considering how deserted this place was, with just them two and a couple of follow-cam photographers. It was creepy. The show team was truly sadistic for scaring them like this.

Chloe sweetly smiled, revealing two cute dimples, and said, "What’s there to be scared of? Even if there are zombies, they’re just people in disguise. There’s definitely no zombies on this main road; they’re all waiting for us up ahead."

"Why do I feel like you’re somewhat excited?" Wendy tightened her coat and said.

"I love watching zombie movies the most," Chloe winked at her, cutely.

She actually had quite the courage, but was especially timid when watching movies. Yet she loved horror and zombie films, pulling Constantine Stewart to accompany her every time, snuggled in his arms, covering her eyes but peeking through.

As a busy business tycoon managing all sorts of affairs, Constantine naturally had no interest in watching such mindless films. Yet he couldn’t resist her cute demeanor seeking comfort during movie time, grudgingly watching with her while handling his business.

Chloe never thought that sleazy director Daniel would come up with a zombie siege stunt. She felt all of her cells tingling with excitement. For variety shows, it should be fun-filled, surprising, and daring.

After the Beetle drove for half an hour, the small town in the distance became vaguely visible. Chloe turned off the radio and, as they approached the town, instructed Wendy: "The show confiscated our luggage, so there must be supply bags scattered in the town. Our goal tonight is to gather supplies, find a shelter, and see if we can locate Charles Taylor and the others. Just follow me; if we encounter zombies, just run. As long as we don’t get bitten, we’re invincible. But if the show team has a conscience, they might also leave some weapons kits. We can take out zombies directly using weapons."

"Chloe, how do you know so much?" Wendy saw how knowledgeable she sounded and was immediately less scared, with her eyes gleaming a bit.

"Because I’ve watched a lot of movies and read many novels. I bet Director Cai hasn’t read as many apocalypse novels as I have," Chloe said sweetly, smiling.

The dialogue between Chloe and Wendy did not escape the ears of the two follow-cam photographers, who exchanged glances, internally collapsing.

Their working group exhausted themselves proposing countless plans, and in the end, Director Daniel selected one of them, even refraining from revealing the game rules, deciding to begin filming instantly. Yet Chloe had already guessed most of it: there were supply bags, weapons kits; all zombies wore sensor-activated suits that eliminated them once hit by a weapon. Clearly, it was supposed to be 8 against 50, yet they felt an ominous hunch they might flip.

With guests this outrageously capable, they were left feeling rather helpless!

As the Beetle approached the town’s outskirts, Chloe keenly spotted a backpack casually discarded in the roadside bushes. She got out, picked up the bag, opened it in the car, pulling out food, water, a telescope, a flashlight, and a sniper rifle.

She tossed the food and water to Wendy, picked up the telescope, found a vantage point, observed with the telescope for a while before returning to the car, whispering, "There are many zombies in the town, particularly in front of a standalone cottage, there are an abnormal number. There’s definitely something strange there; it’s either the key location for us to pass through or where Charles Taylor and others are. Let’s wait until nightfall when they fall asleep to make our move."

"Alright." Wendy was infected by her excitement, also getting a little eager since following Chloe for two seasons, she hadn’t suffered any loss.

"There are not many zombies around the town’s outskirts; driving makes us an obvious target. We should ditch the car, look for supplies, and go into hiding," Chloe left the sniper rifle, packed other items in the bag, and tossed it to Wendy.

"This gun looks quite realistic. Chloe, do you know how to shoot?" Wendy, seeing how professional Chloe held the gun, asked with admiration.

Constantine Stewart had a gun permit, his marksmanship was almost infallible. She had learned shooting with him, but at a club. Chloe opened her mouth and suddenly realized she had learned quite a few things during those years with Constantine.

"Yeah." Chloe didn’t elaborate, responding lightly, leading Wendy toward the town.
