She didn’t flinch as the thugs appeared out of nowhere, wearing funny-looking masks to hide their faces.

"Hehe... How did a child appear here in the black alley? Judging by her nice clothes, she may have come from some rich noble family and will fetch a large sum of price for us."

"Yeah, she looks like she got lost out here. It is her bad luck coming to this dangerous place and finding us."

"Damn, she looks cute. I’m starting to feel like taking her with me instead..."

"Shut up, you pervert bastard! We are selling her. You don’t get to keep her! She might get us millions of gold coins."

Ravena looked at the thugs blankly while sucking on her candy. She wore a calm, bored expression that rather looked adorable on her cute face.

A slim man stepped forward. As he neared her, seeing his approach, Ravena immediately stepped backward. Not because she was actually afraid of him, but because he was smelling like shit. He had covered his face with a mask, and there were ugly scars around his body, showing that his face was probably also shit, which was exactly why he had to hide it.

"Hehe, little girl. Come here with us, I will take care of you properly~"

Ravena looked at them, tilted her head sideways, and calmly said:

"Get out of my way, you Motherf*ckers, before I choose to break your balls."

The man looked stunned. Not only that, his remaining companions also wore the exact same expression, looking at each other to make sure that they had heard the little girl right.

"Damn, it seems you are a notorious girl who knows how to speak aloud. Hehe, I like your crude words, but damn, it is totally useless in front of us..."

He continued to step forward, raising his dirty hand to grab her roughly by the hair.

But before he could even touch her, a crimson essence started to coil around her small body. As she raised her hand, the essence started to float toward him, rapidly surrounding one of his legs. She gave him one cold glance, and a small, sadistic smile appeared on her face as she clenched her tiny fist.

*CRUNCH!* *CRACK!*

The sickening sound of bones crushing could be heard clearly echoing in the black alley. The leading man looked down at his leg, finally realizing his bones were all broken. Sharp bone spikes were protruding out, piercing through his flesh as the blood started to leak heavily around the ground.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The man fell back hard onto the ground while looking at his ruined leg. His face paled as he opened his mouth, and a scream tore through his throat so loudly it filled the whole surrounding area. All of his companions looked at his wound in sheer terror. They felt something was terribly wrong with this little girl, and all of them started to step closer with caution.

Ravena’s smile only widened as they foolishly stepped forward toward her. The Crimson Essence danced around her in waves, ready to crush their bones and skulls just as she raised her hand and targeted everyone’s heads.

A loud voice cut through the silence, coming from right behind the thugs’ backs.

"What are you doing here?!"

Ravena immediately recoiled her Crimson Essence as a man appeared. All of the thugs looked back in panic. A man whose uniform told them that he was either a watchman or a policeman stepped forward. Behind him, his armed team was also with him as they appeared at the mouth of the black alley.

"So you are the ones on the wanted posters? I heard you had murdered innocent people who crossed this path. We have been actively searching for you for a whole month, and we finally got you right here."

"Officers, arrest them!"

Without waiting any more seconds, all of the guards dashed from their places. Glowing chains made of pure mana appeared in their hands, and in a fast motion, they coiled tightly around all of the dangerous thugs.

They tried to violently break free and run away, but it was entirely futile. The chains were more than just simple magic; they were high-grade artifacts which restricted their movement as well as the use of their internal mana.

As all of the criminals were safely captured, the lead officer stepped forward, looking down at the thug whose leg bones were broken, with a deep frown.

"What happened here? How did he get hurt so badly?!"

The thugs looked at him with paled faces and frantically pointed fingers at the little girl standing in front of them eating her candy.

"She was the one who did this to us! Capture her too!"

The leading officer looked down at the little girl who was innocently eating candy, acting completely unaware of the dangerous world. He glared at the thug and slapped him hard on the head.

"Shut up! Don’t you dare push the blame onto that little girl! You must have fought with each other, and that was the result you got!"

The criminal’s face paled further.

"No—! It’s true! She was the one who did it! A weird Crimson energy appeared out of nowhere and crushed his bones! Trust me!"

The officer completely ignored him. He walked toward the little girl and bowed slightly to meet her eye level. He felt something was a little different about her; she gave him a vague, dangerous feeling which he quickly tried to ignore.

"Hey kid, are you lost? Where are your parents?..."

He looked at her, seeking a simple answer. Ravena just stared at him blankly and answered.

"Lost."

The officer nodded, waiting for her to tell him more, but she remained quiet.

"What is your name, little girl?"

She spoke again, but without revealing any detailed stuff, perfectly mimicking the behavior of an innocent lost child who is now afraid because the bad guys here had attacked her.

"R-Ravena..."

The officer’s stern expression softened at her fearful reply. He completely misunderstood her act, thinking she may have become afraid because of getting surrounded by the bunch of criminals.

The policeman spoke with grim but gentle words.

"Don’t worry, now we are here, no one will hurt you. I will take you home. Come with me..."

Ravena looked up at his face while licking her candy and nodded without saying anything else. She was already lost, so she had to get out of this place anyway, and the front guy was offering her a free lift. There was no way she would refuse that.

The officer smiled and led her safely to the police car as she followed right behind him. He gestured for the remaining officers to take the thugs to the station, while he opened the door of the car and let her take a seat. He sat in the driving seat himself and drove the car away from the dark alley.

While a little distance away from the place on top of the house a silver -haired boy was standing there, his hands folded, looking at the departing car with a calm expression as he sent the signal to his real body and then followed the car with a swift motion as he vanished from the place.
