The Unlimited Ascension: Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 161: Ravena’s POV [Part-1]

Just a few hours ago, inside the bustling city, a small girl was walking along the street. She had smooth black hair and beautiful crimson eyes. Each of her steps was small and measured. With her tiny size, she looked at least like an 7-year-old girl. Yes, she is none other than Ravena, Alen’s notorious spirit, who is well famous for the grand titles ’Godless’ and ’Master of Crimson Sky’.

She was once the strongest being in her own original world, where she was sealed. But now, after bonding with Alen, she got reduced to a mere toddler level. But recently, as the second form of Godless unlocked, she also gained some of her past power back with it. She was no longer entirely helpless in the world.

Of course, it doesn’t mean she could actually hurt that bastard Alen. That was still impossible for her. She had actually tried it once or twice, but instead of her power working on him, it backfired on her, instantly dissipating whatever strength she had gathered.

She decided to let go of any hope of being able to kill him. Even if she hated him to the core, she didn’t really want to kill him anyway.

There were several reasons for that. Even though her master had bonded with her, he didn’t ever force her to fight for him, even if he was facing certain death right in front of him, like the last time when he was fighting against Lyris. Since he had full control over her power, if he genuinely wanted to, he could have just forcibly taken all control against her will and used her power as a tool. But he had never done it.

Even though he became a training junkie sometimes, he didn’t involve her in that grueling schedule, already knowing that she would feel exhausted. He would let her go anywhere she wanted, not that he could actually stop her tantrums anyway.

Even though it got on her nerves sometimes that he was her master and the man holding absolute power over her, in some secret part of her heart, she was actually pleased with it. Why wouldn’t she be? It was the first time in her long history that someone who had full control over her didn’t treat her like garbage. Unlike every single one of her past wielders who treated her like a mere weapon to be controlled, a power to be conquered, or a shiny treasure to be held, Alen was vastly different. He was someone who genuinely treated her like her. Not just as the manifestation of the weapon Godless, but like an actual living being who had her own consciousness to live with. Even though he outwardly called her a ’weapon’ to tease her, he never actually meant it. She could feel that truth after staying alongside him for quite some time.

She had learned many things about him since staying with him, like the fact that he was a scheming motherf*cker—Ahem! Meaning that in a good kind of way.

So what does it mean by the good kind? She had already learned that there was always a specific reason for his doing things. He was a person who perceived the world from a far different angle than many other people. Simply stating, he never schemed against people without any bad intentions. How so? Sometimes he spoke rudely to people, actually trying to hurt their feelings just so that they could burst out at him, leaving them feeling free and relieved after expressing their pent-up anger at him. It was an act of hidden kindness of his, which he didn’t tell anyone about, but she had gotten a clear clue of that.

She was also able to realize that her own emotions were aligned with his. If he felt sad or depressed, she would also feel the exact same way, even though she covered it up with a stubborn facade on her face. That was exactly the reason she could now live more like a human child than the wild, untamed weapon she was used to being in the past. It was a brand new experience for her, but she didn’t take it for a bad side.

Even though she said it outwardly that she disliked him, there was still something which she couldn’t quite name in her—a thrill, maybe—to be held with complete control, and to have him wield her whole power. If that ever happened, then the chances of the world staying upright were quite slim. She was just waiting for the grand moment when he would one day fully unlock her power and become a being stronger than anyone. That would be the time that no one would be able to stop him.

But since this dream might take many long years, decades, or even centuries to come true, she would have to wait for it to see it with her own eyes. For that long, he might even get married and have children she can play with.

’Wait, what am I even thinking? I am not a child to be playing with his kids! I am a Weapon, the great ’Godless’, not a kid to play with children. Ravena, you are starting to behave like an actual child just because of gaining a little bit of human emotion. Don’t forget that you are a million-year-old weapon, the strongest one of them all! Hmph, You are not built to play. Sigh...’

’Damn, it seems something was genuinely off with that pink cotton candy earlier. I am starting to feel drunk, praising him like this. Why would I be praising that a*shole about his good qualities... Even though I had praised him, he is still a bastard and always will be. A human can’t be trusted.’

As she walked along the street all alone while eating another one of her candies, a different flavor this time, she was so lost in her deep thoughts that she had actually forgotten she was lost in the vast city. She was now walking all alone down a street. There were no bright shops around, not any sign of people, and the place also smelled disgusting, like rotting flesh and blood.

’Where am I? Did I mistakenly come to a dark alley? Sigh... I have to go back before anyone sees me and causes some trouble... I’m not in a right mind to face anyone right now...’

Just as she turned back to go straight back the way she had walked from, several dark shadows suddenly appeared. They surrounded her in a tight circle within just a few short seconds.
