This relentless, almost animalistic hatred that Satania held toward Lilith was honestly insane.

Watching her react like this made it painfully obvious that the mere thought of Lilith was enough to set her off, and she wasn’t even trying to hide how much she despised her.

I had honestly expected that, out of all the Seven Deadly Sins, Satania would at least be willing to hear me out before trying to kill me. The other six had practically decided I was their enemy the moment they saw me, so I figured she might be the one exception. Instead, she didn’t seem interested in having a conversation whatsoever. The instant she laid eyes on me, she immediately chose violence without the slightest bit of hesitation. Apparently, diplomacy wasn’t exactly on today’s schedule.

Her hatred for Lilith had to run unbelievably deep, which honestly felt a little strange the more I thought about it. Satania was, in a way, one of Lilith’s children. Lilith had raised her herself, guided her, and even granted her the power she possessed today. Looking at everything from the outside, I simply couldn’t understand why she had become so unbelievably hostile toward the very person who had given her everything in the first place.

"I am not Lilith," I told her, doing my best to keep my voice calm despite everything. "So could you at least calm down a little?"

"You are Lilith," she answered immediately without the slightest hesitation. "You are nothing but Lilith. You are the Vessel who will eventually become Lilith."

"Your obsession with Lilith is honestly insane," I replied while staring directly at her. "I already told you, I’m not Lilith, and I’m not going to become her. I have absolutely no intention of letting Lilith take over my body. I’m going to defy the fate that was forced onto me, no matter what happens."

"Do you really believe you can defy it?" she asked as her eyes narrowed ever so slightly. "Lilith is inevitable. The end of this world is inevitable as well if I don’t stop it." Her expression only grew colder. "Right here and right now, I’m going to kill you before that future ever comes."

She didn’t look like someone who intended to give me even a single second to breathe or gather my thoughts before attacking.

The instant those words left her mouth, she dashed straight toward me with frightening speed, wasting absolutely no time at all.

With Ayuru and Samui firmly gripped in both of my hands, I immediately began slashing through the air with everything I had. Every swing released compressed mana from the cursed blades, creating powerful shockwaves that shot directly toward Satania. Those attacks flew across the battlefield at incredible speed, one after another without giving her even the smallest opening to recover or close the distance. I poured every ounce of strength, speed, and mana into each slash, refusing to hold anything back while the cursed swords continuously drained away my life force in exchange for their overwhelming power.

Satania herself was incredibly fast, but my attacks were even faster. Since the shockwaves continued flying toward her one after another without slowing down, she simply couldn’t find an opportunity to get close enough to strike me.

"Cursed swords, huh?" she said with a grin that somehow managed to look both amused and dangerous. "That actually makes my job a whole lot easier. It doesn’t matter how much life force you have. Nobody can keep using two swords that are sucking the life out of them forever."

Unfortunately for her, things weren’t about to play out the way she expected them to.

Even though I was drawing out both cursed swords to their fullest potential, I couldn’t feel my life force being consumed anywhere near as much as it should have been. In fact, my vitality still felt just as powerful as ever, almost as though the amount being drained was so insignificant that my body barely even noticed it.

"Wait..." Her eyes suddenly widened in complete disbelief as she stared at me. "Your life force isn’t even decreasing by much...?"

Her expression froze where she stood for a brief moment.

"Don’t tell me...!"

Her voice came out quieter than before, but it carried far more disbelief than anger.

"Your life force is even greater than Lilith’s?!"

The realization hit her so hard that she genuinely looked stunned for the first time since arriving here. Seeing that expression on someone like Satania almost felt surreal, considering she had looked completely confident only moments earlier.

Shortly after that, the other five finally arrived, and judging from the expressions on their faces, it was painfully obvious they had no intention of simply standing around and watching the fight unfold from the sidelines.

The person that one of the copies of Beelzebub was carrying might be Belphegor of Sloth...

"I see... I see..." Satania muttered while looking straight at me, slowly shaking her head as a strange laugh escaped her lips. "So Lilith actually managed to accomplish her goal. You’re probably much stronger than she ever was by this point."

Her entire attitude shifted almost immediately after realizing just how absurd my life force really was. The rageful confidence from earlier disappeared, replaced by something much heavier. It felt less like she was looking at an enemy now and more like she was looking at a disaster waiting to happen.

She slowly took one deep breath while keeping her eyes locked on me without blinking for even a second.

Then, without giving anyone the slightest warning, an overwhelmingly powerful aura erupted from her body and spread throughout the entire area with terrifying force. The pressure was so intense that it felt like the surrounding air itself had suddenly become several times heavier.

"I have to defeat you before you truly become Lilith," she declared, her voice carrying far more determination than before.

Her face was absolutely livid now, and whatever restraint she had been showing earlier had completely disappeared. She looked completely serious now, almost desperate, as though she believed this was her only chance to stop an unavoidable future.

The other five, who had been watching everything until now without interfering, finally began moving as well after sensing the change in Satania’s resolve.

One after another, they all leaped toward me at nearly the same time, clearly intending to overwhelm me through sheer numbers rather than giving me any opportunity to respond individually.

Within a single moment, the battle had transformed into a six against one confrontation, and judging from the killing intent filling the air around us, none of them had any intention of showing me even the slightest mercy.
