Leon’s POV

I took a slow breath and gave myself a moment to settle down before jumping off the building. The instant my feet hit the ground, I landed with a heavy thud that sent a cloud of dust spreading in every direction around me.

Once the dust began settling, I slowly started walking toward them without rushing.

They were moving toward me as well, and I could already tell they were closing the distance because of the overwhelming mana pouring from their direction. Their presence alone was enough to make the air around us feel noticeably heavier.

It didn’t take very long before the first one reached me, charging forward with speed that would have caught almost anyone off guard.

I immediately raised my weapon and blocked the sword that came slashing toward me before it could reach my body.

"Oh, you actually blocked that, huh?" she said with a grin that looked more amused than surprised. "I suppose that’s only to be expected from Lilith’s vessel. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Morsea of Greed."

"Honestly, I don’t think introductions really matter right now," I answered while keeping my eyes fixed on her.

I managed to shove her away from me and create a little breathing room, but that opening barely lasted for even a second.

Another attack came from behind almost immediately.

Fortunately, I activated Guardian just in time before the attack could connect with my body.

The strike crashed directly into the barrier instead of me, leaving me completely unharmed despite how well timed the attack had been.

I quickly turned around and found another Sin standing quietly behind me.

"Hello. I’m Levi, the Sin of Envy," she said with a pleasant smile that somehow felt even more unsettling. "It’s nice to meet you, Vessel of Lilith."

She paused for only a brief moment before that smile on her face widened even further.

"And goodbye. I hope you enjoy this."

The instant those words left her mouth, the air surrounding me suddenly turned bright red as if the atmosphere itself had been ignited.

A split second later, everything around me exploded right in front of my face with incredible force.

Did she seriously just detonate the air itself around me like it was the most natural thing in the world?

That was a ridiculously overpowered ability to possess. Anyone who got caught off guard by something like that would probably disappear before they even understood what had happened.

Unfortunately for her, it still wasn’t enough to actually injure me in any meaningful way.

"Oh?" she muttered while staring at me with visible curiosity. "That wasn’t enough? As I expected, an ordinary explosion simply won’t do."

While I was still watching her carefully, another familiar figure appeared overhead before I could even think about my next move.

It was Asmodeus.

She was flying above us while carrying that massive sword with both hands, looking completely ready to swing it without the slightest hesitation.

"It’s been a while," I called out to her as calmly as I could manage.

She clearly wasn’t interested in exchanging greetings or wasting time with small talk.

The moment our eyes met, she immediately descended toward me with incredible speed, her enormous sword already pointed directly at me as though she intended to drive it straight through my body.

Unfortunately for her, I wasn’t particularly worried about her by herself. So I dodged her attack, and immediately created some space between us.

Out of everyone gathered here, she was still the weakest among them.

That fact alone didn’t mean I could afford to ignore her, but she wasn’t the one I considered the biggest threat in this fight.

Things were different now, though.

If all of them intended to coordinate their attacks and overwhelm me one after another without giving me even a second to recover, then even Asmodeus could become dangerous simply because the others would create openings for her.

A coordinated assault was always more troublesome than fighting powerful opponents one by one.

Shortly after that, Beelzebub moved in as well.

She had already created countless clones of herself, and compared to the last time I saw her, she looked much more prepared for this battle.

"We all have to be careful," she told the others while keeping her eyes on me the entire time. "Don’t underestimate him."

Then my attention shifted toward the one who posed the greatest threat out of everyone standing here.

A deep frown rested on her face, and she glared at me with an expression that made one thing painfully obvious.

She had absolutely no intention of letting me walk away from this battle alive.

"There you are, Lilith!" she shouted at the top of her lungs.

The very next instant, she burst forward so quickly that my eyes barely managed to follow her movement.

I didn’t even understand what had just happened.

One moment I was standing perfectly still, ready to defend myself.

The next moment, I had already been launched backward before my brain could even process what had hit me.

My back slammed into the wall of a building, crashing straight through it before I smashed into another building behind it. That one broke apart as well, and my body continued flying until I collided with yet another building almost immediately afterward.

The impacts came one after another so quickly that I barely had enough time to register any of them.

While I was still flying uncontrollably through the air, she had already crossed the entire distance between us without slowing down even a little.

Before I could stop myself or regain my footing on solid ground, she was already standing right in front of me again.

Another punch crashed directly into me.

That single hit launched me even farther away than before, sending me through the air once again without giving me the slightest chance to recover.

She didn’t look like she had any intention of slowing down or holding herself back.

"I’m going to kill you! I’m going to kill you! I’m going to kill youuuuuuuuuu!!"

She continued screaming those same words while relentlessly chasing after me, punching me away again and again every time she caught up.

Listening to her repeat the exact same thing over and over almost made me think she had forgotten every other sentence in her vocabulary. Unfortunately, the punches were much harder to ignore than the repetition.

This whole situation was getting completely out of hand.

The damage was steadily piling up with every hit I took, so I finally pulled out Samui and used it to block her next attack before she could send me flying again.

The instant her fist collided with the blade, Samui absorbed the impact completely, keeping me firmly where I stood instead of launching me across the battlefield another time.

Taking advantage of the brief opening that created, I immediately swung Samui toward her without wasting another second.

She seemed to notice that something about the sword was different the moment she looked at it.

Rather than trying to block the slash, she instantly dashed backward and put some distance between us, almost as though her instincts were warning her to stay away.

"I’m going to kill you..." she growled while glaring at me with pure hatred burning in her eyes. "LILITHHHHHHH!!! I’ll make sure you never escape from me!"
