Chapter 54: Glowing
"And how may I help you, Mr. Birdy?"
"I have a name," Karl said. He was standing before the other three husbands, staring coldly and suspiciously at her.
"I don’t care about the name," Sunnie smiled.
"....." Karl cleared his throat as he said, "Who cares. Produce Azure now. We couldn’t find him when we woke up, and we felt that we were drugged."
He glared at her. "Did you do it?"
"Of course I did," Sunnie folded her arms.
Karl gasped. "I knew it. I’ve always known you were evil. Now where did you take him? Speak!" He demanded.
But Sunnie smiled. "And why do you want to know? It’s not like you could do anything for him anyway. You couldn’t even cure him."
Karl glared at her. "You vicious female.. how can you take him away without any of us knowing?"
"I actually did know," Zayn said, standing behind.
They all turned and stared at him. Silence.
"You did?" Eris confirmed.
"Yes," Zayn said, his eyes reluctant.
Karl glared at him. "Then why didn’t you tell anyone?"
"You didn’t ask," Zayn said.
"...."
Sunnie was simply shocked that Zayn knew and didn’t stop her. She guessed he really is the most mysterious amongst them all. She still couldn’t understand him. He wasn’t there but he wasn’t. That’s what he felt like.
"You should have woken me up," Karl still insisted.
Zayn scoffed. "You were sleeping like a log of wood. How was I supposed to do that?"
"...." Karl was speechless.
"You—!" He tried attacking Zayn, but Eris broke them apart immediately.
"Let’s not do this now. Let’s first find Azure."
Luka turned to Sunnie. "Did you really take him? Where did you take him to?" He wasn’t being demanding.
Sunnie smiled at him. "Okay. I’ll only take you guys there because you’re cute."
[Ding!]
[Bear Husband grew shy]
Sunnie smiled while watching Luka scratch the back of his head, his cheeks going pink.
Karl glared at him. "Cute my foot. Cut it out. Let’s go and find out what she’s done to him." He demanded, staring at Sunnie. "Lead the way."
Sunnie sighed. "You should be grateful that I married you, else no one would want to have you as their mate. What a rude personality."
Karl folded his arms, raising his chin. "So I should be grateful? It’s not like I want to be your mate either."
Sunnie rolled her eyes as she turned, wondering how on earth she’s supposed to make babies with him. The thought of making out with him puzzled her too.
She couldn’t help but wonder how that would be. But interestingly, she was curious. Because such people could be wild and sexy when making love to their "enemy."
Curse my thoughts! She snapped at herself as she led the way.

They walked for some time before they arrived at the riverside.
Sunnie stopped as she turned and stared at them, arms folded. "We’re here."
They looked around. "Where?"
Sunnie stared at them without words. "Really? You don’t know where your mer co-husband could be?"
They stared into the water. It was calm as it moved with the wave.
"Eh... in there?" Eris and Luka walked close to the water. They stood and stared in but couldn’t see anything.
Sunnie smiled. "Don’t worry about him. He’s recovering well. The water has already been purified by me, so he’ll be fine soon."
Karl stared at her. "And how are we supposed to trust you with that?"
Sunnie smiled. "Well, I guess you’ll just have to see for yourselves."
They watched as Sunnie approached the water. She slowly bent down as she ran her hands through the waters. "Hey! Come out already, it’s morning."
The water began shaking as Sunnie stepped backwards with the rest. The five of them stood at a distance, watching the water move before someone stepped out of it.
Water ran down Azure’s bare body as he stepped out. His skin was glowing in a good way. He looked completely healthy with the scales around his body glimmering.
He was wearing a blue animal skin around his waist as he walked over the water and made his way to the land, now standing before them.
Everyone was quiet. They stood and stared at him without words, observing and studying him.
Eris and Luka immediately stepped forward, taking a closer look at his body. They poked their fingers at his cheek, nose, neck, chest. They were simply shocked.
"Is it just me, or does his body and skin look even better than before?" Luka blinked.
"I also think so," Eris agreed as he stared at his face. "Even better than mine, I fear..." He bit his lower lip, standing tall. "Tell me your secret."
Azure casually smiled as he said, "Nothing. I just took a bath in the water the female prepared for me, and I feel great," he said staring around his body.
Luka slowly nodded. "Woah.. I guess it really worked like magic. The female is really something else now..."
Eris ran a hand through his chin. "I see.. the female sure does have lots of tricks now..." He turned to her. "You, I order you to help me look like him. Glowing."
Sunnie smiled, folding her arms. "That depends on your behaviour. If you behave nicely, I’ll consider."
"..."
Karl scoffed. "Glowing my foot. He’s just as he was. Nothing much happened."
Sunnie smiled. "Maybe appreciate pretty things so you’ll get a glow up too," she folded her arms.
Karl also folded his arms with another scoff. "Too bad, I don’t need that. I’m already handsome."
Sunnie let out a soft laugh. "Wow. That’s what you think? Well, I’d like to see who you can pull with that look." She was teasing him, and he fell for it.
Karl stared at her. "I can pull anyone with it, even you."
Sunnie raised her eyebrow. "Too bad, I’m not attracted to that face."
Karl glared at her. "Well, I can make you fall head over heels for this face. You’ll fall so hard that you can’t even think of any other face."
