The event was starting. And the people cheered louder as the men took their stands. All standing and getting ready to showcase their skills.

Sunnie observed as the prayer event started. They all cheered and sang to the sun, especially to the sun god.

"Well, I guess they have another god..." She muttered.

Soon, they were done with the program and were about to get into the main event. The older, chubby beastman who was serving as the MC took the stage and announced how everything would flow.

The instructions were simple. They’d be checking for the loudest roar who could sustain their roars too. So everyone would begin roaring at the same time. The loudest and the longest would be identified in the process.

Everyone agreed to this and stood for the show to begin. Sunnie smiled, folding her arms as she watched what was about to happen.

The countdown began and soon, they all began their grand roars. Sunnie closed her eyes with a smile; she believed all she needed was to listen to the mess that was about to unfold.

And it began.

Some roars erupted, but what was stronger and more shocking than the roars was the loud and persistent sound of chipmunks screaming in the night.

At first, everyone was confused.

"What’s that sound?"

"Huh? What’s making that...?"

Everyone was confused at first. But soon, they quickly recognized where this disturbing scream was coming from. It was coming from the lions!

Specifically, some lions.

The lions’ roaring stopped immediately as the sound shocked them. They turned and stared at about ten other beastmen screaming, their voices that of chipmunks, screaming into the distance.

Shock and confusion filled their veins as they stared at them. These lions weren’t roaring like lions do; they were making loud chipmunk sounds which left everyone speechless.

Everywhere was silent. They stared at the ten lions who had come to realize that sound was coming out of their mouths!

They were shocked too, their eyes wide open in disbelief as they tried shutting up. But they couldn’t. It was as though their mouths had a mind of their own. They were still open, and the chipmunk sound was still echoing from their mouths.

It sent shame through them—strong, brave lions crying like chipmunks. That was something to write home about indeed.

Soon, everyone burst into laughter. They couldn’t believe the madness happening before them. And the beastmen instantly felt ashamed, knowing that their reputation was ruined with this! No one was going to take them seriously after this!

Sunnie couldn’t hold back her smile from where she stood. She had her eyes open, staring at the chaotic scene while smiling.

The laughter filled the atmosphere as Little Black and Zuna turned and stared at Sunnie. They were suspicious; they recalled what she did the other day and couldn’t help but link it to this.

Sunnie stared at them with a smile as she shrugged. "What? What did I do now?"

"You did this," Little Black said.

"What if I did? So what? It’s only the beginning of their shame. They should learn never to mess with a god boss lady," she smiled, folding her arms.

Zuna couldn’t help it; she too burst into a smile. She was heavily content with what she saw.

The chaos continued. Lions screaming like chipmunks, the people laughing at this madness.

The Elders soon calmed everyone down as the lions managed to close their mouths. They gripped their mouths firmly with their paws while looking around in shame and shock.

People were still laughing at the side as shame ate them up.

And as though that wasn’t enough, one of them let out a massive gas from behind! They farted a huge bomb of yellow gas into the area.

Shocked, everyone stared at him. Soon, enough joined in. And five others too, all releasing gas from behind without control.

People immediately covered their noses and mouths in shock, silence lingering at the scene as their gas sounded louder than anything else.

"What joke is this?! This is utter disrespect...!" One of the elders tried speaking, but three of them let out loud gas.

Little laughter spread through the scene as the men began gripping their stomachs.

"Oh, it’s coming!" one cried.

"What’s this?!"

"I don’t remember eating anything bad!"

Immediately, these beastmen began doing all three: screaming like chipmunks, releasing massive gas, while running to fight for the latrine.

Legend has it that they spent the whole day going in and coming out of the latrines until they felt like their intestines would be coming out soon!

Everyone laughed as they all took off. The laughter was massive as Sunnie smiled through it.

Zukka saw Zuna, Sunnie, and Little Black smiling, and he could easily tell that they might be behind this. He too couldn’t help but smile.

The scene was still so chaotic with laughter and shock as the Chief Elder turned to Sunnie and asked, "What could have been the issue, wise one?"

Sunnie shrugged with a smile. "They disrespected a lady, and the heavens gave them a little punishment."

Everyone listened with shock and disbelief. The men were instantly scared of what would happen to them if they followed in their footsteps, while the females instantly felt proud.

The festival continued without the ten men who ran off to live in the latrine, and the winner was soon picked.

While everyone celebrated with dancing and singing, Sunnie stepped aside. She planned on sneaking out to visit Azure in the river.

She wondered how he was doing. Had he been fully recovered or not?

She thought about this while she made her way out, sneaking, when she heard someone say from behind.

"And where do you think you’re running to, you cunning female?"

She paused. She knew that voice. That annoying voice. She could recognize it even in her grave.

Sunnie stood firm as she inhaled and exhaled. And then she turned to meet her beast husbands with a firm smile.
