Chapter 207: A Female.
Eris hesitated, his eyes studying her. The female kept pleading in her softest ways possible, as if that would save her.
Eris stared for a while before he smiled and slowly nodded. "Okay, sure. You can come and stay for the meantime. I mean, I can’t leave a vulnerable lady out here in the woods and let her die in the hands of some vicious beasts, can I?"
He smiled as the female smiled. "Thanks a lot. Thanks so much, I’m so grateful. Thanks for accepting me." She said as she slowly struggled to her feet. But it was clear that she couldn’t walk with the bruise on her leg.
She still struggled to move. "Thanks for accepting me... I promise I’ll forever be grateful to you."
Eris stared at her, watching her legs while observing her shaky movements as he said, "Your legs can’t carry you for long. So don’t strain it. Don’t worry, I’ll carry you." He smiled as he approached her.
Before the female could say much, Eris swept her off her feet and carried her in his arms. He smiled while he stared at her. "Don’t worry, just rest, and I’ll carry you to your destination. Okay?"
The female paused, blinking as she stared at him, her cheeks already flushed. "Ah... I’m... I’m... you don’t have to at all. I can walk myself."
"I would be a monster leaving you to walk on your own. So sit tight and let me carry you. Okay?" He said as he carried her off, the two of them heading back to the tribe.
The female said nothing but sat firmly in his arms while they headed back.

Soon, they both arrived at their destination back at the tribe later that evening.
As soon as Eris stepped into the tribe with the female in his arms, everyone paused and turned, staring at her. Shock written all over their faces.
Eris smiled as he brought her in, the female still in his arms as he looked around. The female also stared around, rather surprised.
"Wow, isn’t this the abandoned evil forest? How is it possible that such things can be established here?" she asked, impressed.
Eris casually smiled as he said, "Well, it’s a miracle, I guess."
The other beast husbands were at the corner, working to fix a little wooden house that had been damaged. While they were working, they stared at Eris.
"Who’s that he’s with?" Luka asked.
"It looks like someone from his tribe. Another fox..." Azure stated the obvious as they stared clearly at the scene.
"But why is he carrying her like that...?" Karl questioned.
"That shameless fox... Doesn’t he know he has a mate already...? Why is he that close with another female like that...?" Luka demanded.
Azure shook his head. "That’s him for you. I’m not even that surprised. I guess I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t instead."
The chipmunks and the women who were processing the meals for the week also had their eyes on them, surprised. They didn’t know what to make of the scene but casually stared.
"Oh, that’s shameless..." Little Black snapped. "What’s that female also doing here? How dare he comfortably bring another female in here?"
"Oh, Sunnie is about to be mad mad," Luka said.
"You think so?" Azure asked.
Luka nodded. "Yes. I know she’s going to be mad seeing him randomly bring back a female like that. I mean, who wouldn’t be mad?"
Azure shrugged as he said, "I don’t think she will, though."
"Well, let’s see then," Luka said.
They still had their eyes on Eris, who was carrying the female in his arms.
Sunnie was inside feeding Ronan, who had fallen sick. She was giving him some medication while the other two—Maren and Mii—decided to stay with him there.
When Sunnie was done giving the little one medication, she made her way out to join the others in their work.
But as soon as she came out, her eyes instantly met the scene—Eris carrying another female in his arms.
The sight struck her. Sunnie paused and stared at them for a while as Eris turned and stared at her as well, along with the female. Their eyes met as Eris smiled. "Oh, there you are. I was looking for you."
At that moment, Sunnie let out a broad smile. There wasn’t any sign of resentment or fury in her eyes. She casually smiled as if nothing had happened as she raised an eyebrow. "What’s happening here...?"
She asked as she approached them. Eris still carried the female in his arms. "And who is this...?" Sunnie asked, staring down at the female fox who clenched firmly onto Eris’s chest.
"Oh, this is a female from my tribe. So we’re basically close. I picked her up in the evil forest. It seemed she had lost her way and she was also hurt. I couldn’t leave a female alone there; it would be dangerous. So I decided to bring her back with me."
Eris smiled at Sunnie as he said, "So I was wondering if you could help treat her feet?"
Sunnie smiled as she slowly nodded. "Of course I’d be more than happy to do that." She stared at the female. "I mean, I can’t just let her be in pain like that, can I?"
Eris smiled with a nod. "That’s good. That’s why I like you. So please help her." He said as he slowly put the female down to sit on a rock there. "I’ll leave her to you, okay?"
Eris said as he left to join the other males in their work.
Sunnie was left with the female, who was sitting there and smiling at her like a mannequin. The two smiled hard, as if they were having some smiling competition or something.
Sunnie got what she needed as she sat down close to the female. The two of them were close, so whatever they were saying couldn’t be heard by the people around them.
