Chapter 95: Sea Soup?
For the first time, Sunnie witnessed their crazy routine.
She stood at the cave’s entrance with the women, Karl, and Zayn while she watched the rest run after the egg.
The blue egg moved fast, bouncing and dodging all efforts to catch it. It was as if it had gotten faster and smarter this time.
Sunnie blinked, staring at the egg. She couldn’t help but wonder how she had given birth to such a big egg. But after all, it was the beast world.
"How often does this happen?" she asked Zuna.
"Always," Zuna said. "I think we’re already used to it."
Sunnie blinked. She didn’t know how she was supposed to get used to this.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations again, Host, on your delivery!]

Sunnie blinked at it. Huh? Another? She literally had three now: Husband Taming, Tribe Building, and now Baby Raising System.
She guessed that’s what you get when your system is a multitasker.

Sunnie stared at the egg that was running up and down with others following it. She wondered how she was supposed to stop that.
Sunnie searched through her mind: how does a mother stop a child from throwing a tantrum?
She had never had children, let alone taken care of one. So this was going to be a bit challenging for her.
She thought for a while, scanning her mind to think of what a mother would do in this situation.
And then, it came to her. Something, at least.
The egg had bounced and landed on a tree. Everyone gasped, standing and staring up at it in disbelief.
"Eggs do that now?" Little Black asked.
Eris folded his arms. "What to do now?"
While they stood there staring and thinking of what to do, Sunnie approached. She looked up at the egg and immediately flashed it a smile.
Sunnie stretched out a hand toward it and said in the warmest tone possible, "Here, here, Mummy’s here to get you. Come."
And that was all it took. The egg hesitated but immediately jumped down to land in Sunnie’s arms. They all stared, shocked and impressed. Even Sunnie was surprised at how fast it was.
She smiled as she held onto the egg proudly. It was comfortable in her hands, and she felt like hugging it.
"And that’s why you’re the mother," Little Black blinked, leaning closer. "It will surely listen to you."
Azure approached, standing beside Sunnie as he stared down at the egg. "That’s a relief... it’s safe now."
[Ding!]
[Task successfully cleared!]
[Egg is calmed down.]

Azure stared at Sunnie. "So? How are you doing now? You’ve been unconscious for so long."
Sunnie smiled, shaking her head. "Don’t worry about me. I’m fine now. Just taking a break, I guess." She took her time admiring the egg. It was different from the normal eggs she knew.
Azure found himself smiling, staring at her face. He couldn’t help but bring his hands to her hair as he caressed it. Sunnie stared up to meet his eyes.
Azure smiled. "It’s good that you’re safe."
Sunnie could see the affection in his eyes. She could see it!
[Ding!]

And staring at his smile, Sunnie couldn’t stop her heart from fluttering too. Azure had a magnetic smile. His blue eyes perfectly highlighted his gorgeous face. Who wouldn’t flutter over that smile?
Sunnie had to hold her heart before it exploded.
Eris and Luka stared. They couldn’t help but observe Azure’s smile.
"Is this also your first time seeing him smile so lovely like that?" Luka asked.
Eris nodded. "Yes. First time. Since when did Azure learn to smile like that?"
Luka shook his head. "I don’t know."
Karl scoffed. "It’s obvious that he’s falling for the female. Weakling."
Eris and Luka stared at him.
"Says someone who kissed the female," Eris teased again.
Karl’s expression darkened. "You... I’ll really pluck out your furs if you keep talking."
The egg in Sunnie’s hands vibrated. Sunnie stared down at the egg that was moving, wondering what could be wrong.
She ran her hands over it to soothe it, but it kept moving.
"It’s been like that for a long while now," Little Black explained. "It keeps moving and suddenly will run off and all... We can’t tell what’s wrong with it." He shook his head.
Sunnie stared down at it, observing. And at that moment, her system beeped.
[Ding!]

[Host, the Egg is hungry!]

Sunnie blinked as she thought: feed an egg? How was that even possible?
Just then, the system said:
