Chapter 66: Who’s the father?
As soon as Sunnie fell unconscious, the mice women working with her all gathered in a flash, worried.
"What’s wrong with her??"
"How did this happen?"
The ladies were worried as they looked at one another. Zuna and Little Black had also gathered, Little Black placing a hand over her forehead. "Sister Sunnie! Sister Sunnie! Wake up!" He tried shaking Sunnie awake, but to no avail.
Soon, her husbands had gathered at the scene. They stared into the scene to see Sunnie unconscious.
"What happened?" Azure asked, almost urgent.
"We don’t know. She was working here and suddenly fell down..." one of the women said.
Azure didn’t hesitate. He instantly pulled Sunnie up and carried her in his arms while rushing back into the cave. The others followed.

In the cave, Azure rested Sunnie on the ground covered with animal skin clothing and leaves. He adjusted the space while he pressed his hands against her forehead. He then rested his ear over her chest to feel something.
"Her heart is beating faster than normal..." Azure explained. "And she’s also feeling hotter than normal..."
He stared into her face, pressing his finger gently into her eyes and parting them to observe them, and then he ran his fingers through her neck and her collarbones.
He was examining her as the others watched from around.
Azure had a serious expression while he ran the hand tests he could to know what was wrong. And not long after, he gasped as he stared into her face.
"What’s wrong with her?" Little Black asked. He was extremely worried as he held onto Sunnie’s hands, sitting beside her. "What’s happening to Sister Sunnie? She’ll be okay, right?"
Azure said nothing. He knelt there closely, staring at Sunnie’s unconscious face.
One of the women standing there stared at his face and then stared at Sunnie and said, "I think I’ve seen this before. She’s pregnant!"
Shocked, everyone turned and stared at her and then stared at Azure.
"Huh?" Little Black was speechless.
"Pregnant?" Eris and Luka said at the same time.
Azure hesitated before he slowly nodded. "Yes... she has a baby..." He was taking his time with the processing because he was sure it was his little one that was in her!
While running the test, he could feel his blood running in her. Something that was his was existing in her now, and he could clearly feel it!
Everyone gasped in shock, staring at each other.
"Huh? How’s that?" Luka ran his fingers through his head, confused. "When did it happen??"
The women didn’t care to know when. They were already celebrating with smiles.
"Oh! This is a beautiful blessing! She will be having a baby!" They were happy for Sunnie in that moment.
Eris ran a hand through his chin with a suspicious stare as he said, "I think the important question here should be... who has the cub in here?"
Everyone paused for a while, all staring up at the five beast husbands standing there, moving from Azure down to Karl.
Soon, all eyes landed on Karl. Including Zayn, Eris, and Luka’s eyes.
Silence.
Karl stared at them. "Why the hell are you all staring at me? How could it possibly be me when I don’t even like the female?" He demanded.
Eris ran a finger through his chin. "Hmm, you always say that but end up doing the most unpredictable thing ever. I won’t be shocked if you and the female have been doing things and it’s your cub."
Karl folded his arms with a scoff. "What? I can’t believe... well, what if it’s you? I mean, a flirt like you can easily do it with the female. You two have been getting so touchy lately."
Everyone turned to stare at Eris now. Silence.
Eris smiled. "Well, I get your point. It would have been cute if it was mine too... I mean.. but it’s not me... I and the female haven’t gone that far yet."
Zukka, who was standing behind Little Black, placed his hand over his tall ears to cover him from hearing such adult words.
Little Black brushed his hands off. "Hey, what are you doing?"
"Protecting your ears from such words."
Little Black frowned. "You’re fifteen. Almost the same age as me."
Zukka smiled. "But I’m still older."
Little Black glared at him. "Leave me alone."
All eyes now moved to Zayn in suspicion.
"What?" Zayn had a calm and cold expression as he stared at them.
"You know it could actually be you..." Eris explained.
Luka nodded.
"It’s not me," Zayn casually said.
Eris nodded. "Yeah, he’s telling the truth."
He turned around again. Everyone sighed.
"Then who could it possibly be?" Eris ran his hands down his chin. "Azure is possibly too nerdy to know this stuff."
Luka stared at him. "Wait, why wasn’t I mentioned?"
Eris brushed him off, shaking his head. "Nah, you’re too young to know these things. So it can’t be you."
"...." Luka didn’t know whether to take that as a compliment or an insult. He was literally old enough to make cubs—similar age to Eris.
Eris sighed. "So who could it possibly be...?"
"It’s my cub," Azure casually said while staring at Sunnie.
Eris shook his head. "Azure, be quiet. This isn’t the time to announce that she’s pregnant again. We know she has a cub. We’re looking for the father." He continued thinking.
Then a pause. Everyone then heard what he said clearly as their faces slowly stiffened. Then they slowly turned to meet Azure.
"Huh? What did you say...?" Eris asked.
"She is having my cub. It’s mine," Azure said effortlessly as he ran his hands through her forehead, soothing it.
Eris gasped, his jaw dropping. "Huh? You? How...? Eh? How could I not have known?!"
Karl scoffed. "I guess you don’t know about these things as well as you thought you did. Dummy," he said as Eris stood there, eyes open, jaw dropped, speechless while staring at Azure and Sunnie in disbelief.
