Chapter 68: Meat Effect
In the middle of her sleep, Sunnie groaned and moved around.
Azure instantly panicked as he sat up. He leaned closer to offer his head as she unconsciously slept on it as a pillow, holding it firmly.
Azure blinked, staring at her face and then her stomach. He wondered if anything was wrong with the cub. Was it okay?
Azure brushed the thoughts off. "I’m knowledgeable in these... I shouldn’t be worried..." he told himself. But he was still worried and awake all night.

That morning, as they woke up, they saw Azure sitting there beside Sunnie.
If anyone moved in a noisy manner, Azure would cast them a cold death stare. Shivers would go down their spines.
It was his way of saying, "You’re disturbing the baby!"
Soon, Azure led everyone out and had them stand while he spoke. They had just woken up, so some were still yawning and stretching. But Azure spoke nevertheless.
"Before she wakes up, we will do the work she wanted us to do," Azure said. "The women shall take care of her while the men will work to clear the bushes which she assigned us to do."
Karl raised an eyebrow. "Huh? And why should I do that? Isn’t it too early for it?"
"It’s not," Azure insisted. "We have to make sure that by the time she wakes up, it’s all done."
Karl cast him a cold glare. "I’m not doing anything. I don’t feel like it," he folded his arms.
Azure sighed. "Then you can leave it. I won’t force you."
Karl rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
Luka yawned as he said, "But... Did you even sleep at all? How are you so active now?"
"I don’t need to sleep," Azure said with a cold, firm expression.
Eris blinked. "This is what happens when you have cubs. So stressful."
Azure had managed to convince them all to work, except Karl and Zayn who had sat out on it.
The men were off to clear the bushes around them, led by Azure. Some of the ladies were making preparations for what Sunnie would eat and wash with.
Little Black and Zuna were sitting beside the unconscious Sunnie, watching and waiting for something to happen.
It was indeed an already busy and bustling morning for them.

Sunnie slowly opened her eyes.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations! The Host is officially pregnant!]
[Father: Mer Husband]
[The Host is in the pregnancy stage. The cub is growing in Host’s womb as we speak!]
Sunnie stared at the system tab. She thought as much. With all the signs, she had a feeling that something was happening in her own body.
[Ding!]
[The Host now has a pregnancy cheat code on her!]
She blinked. "Huh? What the hell is that?"
[The meat the host snatched and ate the previous time while separating the eagle and tiger husband has been activated!]
Sunnie thought. She recalled the meat she had taken to stop them from fighting. But what did it have to do... with this?
[The meat the host took has special effects on people. As previously explained, it gives immense strength.]
[But when in the host’s body, it translates to something else—a pregnancy cheat code.]
[It has immensely enhanced the host’s womb and pregnancy stage with some benefits which the host will experience over time during pregnancy stages.]
[For instance, the host’s pregnancy period before birth will be shorter than expected, ranging from a week or so!]
Sunnie blinked. "Huh? How...? I’ll...? Eh..?" She was still trying to digest that.
[The host’s body system will be unpredictable and act in the opposite way a pregnant person will act.]
[But all this has benefitted the host to have a more effective pregnancy and birth period without bringing much distress and pain to the host.]
[It has blessed the host!]
Sunnie sighed. To some extent, she guessed that was indeed a blessing.
[Congratulations to the host on your pregnancy!]
The system said as it faded off.
Sunnie had her eyes open, now staring into thin air as she saw Little Black and Zuna staring into her face.
"Sister Sunnie!" Little Black called excitedly with a smile. "You’re awake!"
Zuna smiled broadly. "That’s good!"
Sunnie slowly sat up while running a hand through her hair. She looked around. She was familiar with where she was.
"You can’t get up yet... you need to rest. You’re probably still weak and tired," Zuna explained.
But Sunnie wasn’t even feeling weak or tired at all. Rather, she felt herself bustling with a lot of jittery energy!
"Don’t worry about me. I’m fine," she explained as she slowly got up to her feet. "I want to go and get some fresh air."
"Huh? But you’re not supposed to go out in this state," Little Black was worried as they followed her.
"Don’t worry. I’m fine," Sunnie said as she made her way out.
As soon as she got outside, one of the women saw her and called out.
"Ah! She’s finally awake!"
Immediately, everyone stopped what they were doing. They turned and stared at her, silence lingering for a while.
And then Azure left what he was doing and rushed to the scene with the rest. Everyone gathered except Karl and Zayn, who were sitting close to the fire, watching.
Azure took Sunnie’s hands, examining them as he brushed his palm over her forehead. "How are you feeling...? Are you okay...? You shouldn’t be out here..."
Sunnie shook her head with a smile. "Don’t worry about me. I’m completely fine." She smiled as she looked around.
"Are you sure you’re fine? You don’t feel tired or anything?" one of the women asked.
Sunnie shook her head. "No. Not at all."
"But still, you should go inside and get some rest. We’ll get you something to eat and all," Azure explained.
Sunnie shook her head. "No. Don’t worry. I’m fine. I mean it. I guess I’ve been sleeping for too long..."
"Yeah. You slept all day. We were worried that you’d be dead soon," Little Black completed as everyone stared at him.
"What?" He blinked. "It’s true for me."
