Chapter 69: Extra Strength
Sunnie smiled. "Well, I’m fine now," she said, brushing her hand against her ears. "I’ve been sleeping for so long that I’m tired of it. I’d rather be out here."
Azure nodded as he said, "Okay then. You should go and sit down somewhere and watch. We’ll get the work done for you."
Sunnie sighed as she looked around. Her eyes fell to where Zayn and Karl were sitting. She looked around and saw that they were the only ones who weren’t working.
Sunnie knew that she probably shouldn’t get so dramatic about this. But she felt something rushing through her veins. Fury. Irritation.
Sunnie was pissed off.
She scoffed as she folded her arms, walking up to them. She glared at Karl. "What are you doing here...?"
Karl raised an eyebrow. "And what’s that supposed to mean? I’m sitting and getting some warmth. What else?"
Sunnie scoffed, rolling her eyes as she asked, "Is that what the rest are doing? Are you blind, or didn’t you see that others are working?"
Karl scoffed too. "What now? You’re going to force me into labour? Do you think I’ll listen to you if you do so?"
Sunnie felt her blood boiling. She was getting pissed, and she knew it was one of the effects from what the system had said earlier—easily irritated and pissed off. She guessed this was one of the symptoms of a pregnant woman.
"What a joke," she folded her arms with a scoff. "I can’t believe how lazy you can be."
Karl glared at her. "The work will still get done without me, so don’t be dramatic. Besides, I’m not the only one not working. Zayn is also here."
But Sunnie had her eyes on him. She folded her arms with a deep sigh. "Okay... okay then..."
She nodded as she said, "You won’t work, right?"
Karl nodded. "Yes. I don’t feel like it."
Sunnie smiled. "Sure then. Don’t work." She smiled. "You don’t have to. I don’t need any lazy assholes here with me."

"..."
Everyone stared at each other. Little Black and Zuna blinked at each other.
"Should she be that angry for someone who has a baby?" Little Black inquired as Zuna shrugged.
Karl blinked. "Lazy... lazy... what?"
Azure came to her side to calm her down. "I don’t think you should be so..."
Sunnie rolled her eyes. "Whatever. If you won’t work.. then so be it!" She turned and approached one of the trees.
Everyone stared, curious and confused.
Sunnie was so pissed that she needed something to transfer it to. And so she approached a tree and raised her foot. "I’ll do the work then!"
She kicked the tree.
"...."
Silence. Everyone watched as a crack began appearing on the tree, and soon, the tree fell backwards with a loud thud—one that echoed through the forest and sent birds flying through the air.
Everyone blinked, speechless, as they stared at the tree and then at Sunnie.
"I’ll certainly do the whole work." Sunnie moved to the next tree and did the same. The tree cracked and fell down on its back.
They all watched in shock again.
"What’s happening...? Was she ever that strong?" Luka was speechless.
Eris shook his head. "The female surprises me every day."
She kept doing that until five trees fell.
Azure quickly rushed towards her and held her. "What are you doing...? I don’t think that’s healthy for you... You have our baby.. what if it gets hurt?"
But Sunnie smiled at him. "Don’t worry. I’m fine. I just needed something to do after this long sleep. Something casual to clear my mind."
Little Black blinked. "Well, no one falls huge trees casually to clear their mind..."
Silence. Sunnie stared at the trees on the floor as she realised that it was potentially part of what the system was talking about. First, epic mood swings, and now extra pregnancy strength? What next?
She sighed as she said, "Don’t worry about anything. This is what happens when I’m with a child. It’s normal."
Sunnie was certain they already knew about the cub. She had overheard some talking while partially unconscious.
"But..." Azure wanted to speak, but she placed a hand over his lips.
"Don’t talk. I have to work. We need to make sure we get something done today at least. Okay?"
She suddenly had an authoritative voice and a cold expression that simply made Azure nod, complying. "Okay... We’ll do that... work..."
Sunnie then switched to a smile, tapping him gently on the cheeks. "That’s more like it." She turned to the rest. "So where were we? Shall we continue with work now?"
"Ah, sure!"
"Most certainly!"
"Work!"
"We love work!"
Everyone moved to take their positions. The ladies and Little Black continued crafting the leaves while the men went to clear the bushes and all.
Karl and Zayn still sat there watching as Sunnie joined in with the men.
Everyone was carried away, watching her kick trees while they effortlessly fell. Sunnie was bustling with energy that she needed to pour into something.
And she poured it into felling trees around, tearing the branches apart while cutting them into pieces with the cutlass she had gotten from the system.
While they worked, everyone stared from time to time, shocked by how strong she had suddenly gotten.
Little Black asked Zuna and the women, "Is it normal for a woman to get that strong when she’s having babies?"
One of the women shook her head as Zuna said, "I don’t think I’ve heard or seen anything like that before... This is my first time..."
The other women nodded in agreement.
Karl and Zayn also stared at the scene, speechless.
Zayn let out a smile as he turned away, staring back at the fire before him. "Interesting. She never ceases to surprise me..."
He smiled as he stared at Karl. "I think you’ve found your match then. I’m not your worry."
Karl glared at him. "Shut up," he said as another huge tree fell down after Sunnie brutally kicked it.
It broke into two and fell massively as more birds took off. Everyone turned and stared at it, shivers running down their spines.
Karl forgot to close his mouth in the moment, shocked.
