Chapter 170: Dramatic Competition
"She bought us clothes?" the leader of the chipmunks asked.
"I think so," the chubby one nodded.
"How did you get these?" Eris inquired.
"Just accept the gift," Sunnie said. "No unnecessary questions."
Luka flashed her a smile. "Thanks a lot for the clothes! I’ll make good use of it!"
Zayn stared at him. "She got them for us too, not just you."
Sunnie smiled. "Enjoy, then." She turned and left.
As soon as she was gone, the beastmen covered themselves with some leaves as they rushed out to check out the clothes.
"Oh, she even got our sizes correct!" one of the chipmunks said happily.
"And it looks so good! I’ll finally change out of these thorny clothes after a long time!" the chubby chipmunk expressed happily.
"The female got us high-quality animal skin clothing?" Karl was confused as he stared through the fabric.
Luka smiled. "She’s so hardworking."
"And considerate," Azure said, also smiling, as the rest of the husbands stared at them.
"They’re surely gone for," Karl shook his head.

The next day, everyone dressed in their amazing new attire. They looked dashing, bright, and lively as Sunnie smiled at them.
Sunnie stared at her husbands. She had picked the best for them—ones that suited them perfectly, with colors that matched each one.
Azure got blue, Luka got brown, Eris got red, Karl got black, and Zayn got gold. She smiled. "Suits you so well," she expressed. "So what do you have to say to me?" She folded her arms.
Luka smiled. "Thanks a lot. You worked hard."
Azure nodded too. "Thanks."
Eris stared at his clothing. "They do look good, so I guess I’ll take it as compensation for the fertilizer stuff from yesterday." He stared at her. "But I’ll still be waiting for that kiss."
Sunnie smiled as she stared at Karl and Zayn. "So? What do you have to say?"
Karl hesitated and then said, "Thank you."

Everyone was shocked, including Maren.
Maren pulled on Sunnie. "Mama, he said thank you."
Sunnie blinked, still shocked, as she slowly smiled. "Is it just me, or did I just hear thank you from him?" She leaned to ask Luka.
Luka nodded. "Yes, he did."
Azure blinked as Eris cleared his throat. "That’s interesting."
Karl stared at them all. "What is it? What’s with the reaction? It’s not like I’m a demon or something. I know when to say thank you, at least. Unlike some people..." He stared at Zayn.
Zayn stared at him. "Why do you always like making it about me and picking a fight you can’t finish?"
Karl scoffed. "Oh, sure I can finish every fight I start, so don’t worry."
Zayn rolled his eyes. "Oh, sure you can." He scoffed. "But at least I’m more grateful than you." He stared at Sunnie. "Thanks a lot for the clothes. I appreciate your hard work."

Everyone was speechless. They couldn’t believe their ears as they stared at the two of them.
"Did we also hear that right? Zayn is... saying that? Am I hearing things?" Eris was shocked.
"I also heard it," Azure nodded.
Karl scoffed and stared at him. "You call that appreciation? That’s too low. Watch me do it." He turned to Sunnie and instantly bowed down low. "Thanks a lot for the new clothing! I’m extremely grateful to the female for considering me and presenting me with such an attire."

Everyone was shocked and quiet at the direction things were going.
Zayn scoffed, arms folded, as he stared at him. "You call that appreciation? Just bowing down? That’s too low." He turned to Sunnie and immediately went down on his knees.
"!!"

Everyone was speechless.
"I highly appreciate the clothes given. I am on my knee to humbly show my appreciation for the clothing brought to me! Accept it!" He said from his knees as he stared up at Karl. "See that?"
Karl folded his arms and scoffed. "You call that appreciation? I see that as a mere joke!" He instantly went down on his knees and fell flat on his stomach before Sunnie.
He stretched out his hands to touch Sunnie’s feet. Sunnie was instantly shocked at the dramatic scene.
"Thank you, female, for the clothing! I’ll make sure I use it to the best of my capabilities!" He said firmly.
Sunnie blinked as she stared up at them.
At that moment, Karl instantly got up to his feet and cleared his throat, brushing off his clothing as he turned to Zayn. "See that? That’s how it’s done."
"I think they’re both possessed by something," Little Black insisted with a nod.
Zuna smiled. "Or maybe they’re just worshipping their wives with all their hearts," she said as the women giggled excitedly.
"She surely does have all of them under her fingertips at this point," Elza said with a smile.
"Interesting," the women all giggled more at the scene before them.
Eris shook his head. "They’re always like this—competing over everything. I guess we’re used to it."
Luka blinked. "Mmm. So used to it."
Sunnie smiled as she folded her arms. "That’s sweet of you two to be so extremely grateful. I think I like this cute side of you two." She leaned forward, grabbed Karl by the cheeks, and pinched him gently.
She smiled at Karl as their eyes met. Immediately, Karl stiffened.
Karl’s heart fluttered. He panicked as he stared at her, brushing her hands off his cheeks. "Whatever," he folded his arms. "We’re already so busy, so let’s get going. The farm won’t wait for anyone."
Sunnie stared at his face as he left. She could see his cheeks flush as she asked, "Did you just blush? Are you shy?" She teased openly.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about," Karl said, walking off quickly.
Sunnie smiled as she stared at the system.
