Chapter 64: Tribe Building System
Sunnie didn’t wake up the next day with a mild headache alone, but also with the system beeping right in front of her.
She slowly opened her eyes as she stared at the system screen that appeared before her.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations Host. Having accepted some new inhabitants into your land, you’ve successfully activated the TRIBE BUILDING SYSTEM sub mission]
Sunnie blinked at the system.
[With this system mission, you will be assisted by the system in building and shaping your own tribe!]
[The system will reward you for each successful step taken and also provide necessary resources and assistance for the process]
[You’ve started small with 17 clan members on board, a single cave, and a mini store in sight!]
[Congratulations! Keep pushing to establish a solid tribe setting perfectly for survival and living in this evil forest]
Sunnie stared at the system while she ran a hand through her hair. "What’s it now...?" She slowly sat up, still staring at the system.
[Ding!]
[Tribe Building System Alert!]
[The cave room is insufficient for all of you to stay in. The Host should strive for expansion!]
[New task!]
[Host should create some shelter for the two other species available: 1. The Lion tribe species 2. The Mice species]
[Reward: +5,000 heart coins!]
[Husband Taming System Alert!]
[Task available: Get Beast Husbands to assist Host in developing the shelter. The more husbands, the greater the amount!]
[Reward: 1,000 heart coins for each Beast husband involved!]
She rubbed her hand against her eyes as she said, "Now I’m building houses...?" She stared at the system task board again.
Sunnie guessed it was expected. The system had already hinted at this before. And with the coming of new people, she certainly needed more coins to be able to live comfortably with everyone.
And now she had a mission for that: make two more shelters for the two species of inhabitants that joined.
As Sunnie got up to her feet, she felt slightly dizzy. She staggered but stood firmly as she ran a hand through her hair.
"What was that...?" She shook her head as she looked around. No one was in the room; she guessed everyone had already stepped outside for the day’s work.
But which day’s work?
As soon as Sunnie stepped outside the cave, she was met with the bustling scene of the mice women cleaning up the utensils used for eating.
They had volunteered as a way of helping out.
"Oh, you’re awake!" The four women smiled at her as soon as she stepped out. She smiled back at them as she looked to her side.
Little Black was arguing with Zukka, who had supposedly taken a stick he had gotten that morning. Atan and Zuna were observing them, but when Zuna saw Sunnie, she left to meet her.
Her husbands were seated around the fire, warming up.
"You’re up," Zuna flashed a smile as she approached.
She nodded. "Yes, I am." She looked around as she said, loud enough for everyone to hear, "Good work, everyone. I want your attention. I want us to do something." She said, both hands on her waist with a smile.
Everyone paused and listened attentively to what she had to say.
Sunnie started, "Since we’re all here to stay, we should strive to make this a comfortable and warm home for us to live in. So with that, I was thinking about doing some expansion."
They stared, curious.
She smiled as she added, "Yes. Some expansion. We’re going to be building two more places for people to sleep in comfortably as their space. And I’m going to need some cooperation to make that happen."
The mice smiled. They were happy with the news as they nodded.
"Sure! Just give us your instructions, and we’ll do what you ask," one of the female mice said happily. They were happy to know that they were being fully accepted now since they were making them a space.
Sunnie folded her arms as she looked around. She studied their environment—it was heavily surrounded by a lot of bushes. "I think for that to be possible, we need to do some labour. Cutting down trees and all..."
The mice nodded as everyone looked around at the thick, heavy trees and bushes around them.
"I’d appreciate it if the men can volunteer to help us with most of this," Sunnie said as she turned to her husbands.
The male mouse stepped forward. "I’ll gladly help. Just give your instructions."
"Me too. I’d be more than happy to help," Zukka stepped forward. And seeing that, Atan also stepped forward.
Sunnie nodded as she turned to stare at her husbands again, who were staring back. She needed them mainly given that they were part of the task.
She needed to get more coins while also taming them to listen to her!
Sunnie folded her arms with a smile. "Aren’t you guys going to be a part of it?"
They blinked as Azure spoke first. "I guess we can... you can tell us what you want us to do, and we’ll help with that."
[Ding!]
[Congratulations! Host has successfully gotten the mer husband on board!]
Sunnie smiled as she folded her arms, staring at the four others.

[Bribe some beast husbands into accepting!]
Sunnie approached Luka with a smile. She leaned forward, close enough to meet his face as she said, "Don’t you want to enjoy some of my special meals that I’ve not even prepared yet...?"
"I have some delicious meals that you’d want to try..." She began describing the meals in mouthwatering detail, and she saw him biting and licking his lips. Sunnie smiled as she said, "And you can only get this meal if you help me with this." She blinked.
Luka didn’t hesitate much. He instantly nodded. "Mmmm. Sure, I’ll help."
Sunnie smiled.
She turned to Eris with the same smile.
Eris folded his arms and raised his eyebrows. "Don’t bother, I’m not hungry. So I’m okay."
She smiled as she approached him. "I know you’re not... but I’m sure you don’t like the scar on your face."
