The door opened, and Pan Kejia stood there charmingly, dressed in a coffee-colored trench coat and a pair of black, red-soled high heels.

"A trench coat already?"

Seeing her in the trench coat, Chen Mo raised an eyebrow and teased her with a smile.

The weather was still a little too warm for a trench coat.

Chen Mo’s eyes roamed up and down her body before he praised her with a serious expression.

’An outfit like this definitely needs a trench coat over it to be worn outside.’

Pan Kejia huffed, an "I knew it" expression on her charming face.

She was almost certain that if she had come over dressed like this without the trench coat today, Chen Mo would have definitely punished her.

The two of them moved to the large floor-to-ceiling window to watch the neon nightscape of the Bund below.

A torrential downpour had started over the Bund, with raindrops relentlessly pelting the glass of the large window.

Even though Chen Mo was indoors, he felt as if raindrops were falling on him.

The rain was pouring down, but this time, he didn’t use an umbrella.

He let the rainwater drench his head and body.

He had to admit, walking in the rain without an umbrella felt pretty damn good.

It was a unique experience.

The only thing was, it was easy to get sick. You had to take medicine afterward as a precaution when you got soaked in the rain.

Coming back inside from the downpour, Chen Mo lay on the soft, large bed, holding Pan Kejia in his arms.

"That was a nice surprise you gave me."

Chen Mo kissed her fair, smooth forehead and praised her with a smile.

"The medicine is effective for the next 72 hours. How many more surprises we can have... that’s up to your performance."

Pan Kejia nestled weakly in his arms, her beautiful eyes hazy as she looked at him and spoke in a languid tone.
