Chapter 1278: Do You Need Me to Help You Bathe?
Mason Nightshade thought again of her beating Henry Fletcher, furrowing his brows and grabbing her wrist to pull her into his embrace, "From now on, don’t do such dangerous things again. Henry Fletcher is very proud. You embarrassed him in front of so many people, he will definitely find ways to get revenge in the future."
"Don’t have any contact with him alone," Mason Nightshade advised Aurelia Shaw.
He realized he hadn’t managed to pull Aurelia Shaw.
Aurelia Shaw’s hands were braced on the sides of the wheelchair. She looked down at Mason Nightshade, her bright, almond-shaped eyes shining, and her gaze unwavering and unyielding, she said:
"Before your injury is fully healed, don’t casually hold me anymore, did you hear?"
Mason Nightshade sighed.
Aurelia Shaw reached out with a spoon to Mason Nightshade’s mouth, "Be good, open your mouth, ah—"
Mason Nightshade: "..."
This truly was one of his most undignified meals.
...
After feeding Mason Nightshade, Aurelia Shaw carried the bowl and chopsticks to the kitchen. She paused at the door and turned back to smile at Mason Nightshade, "Wait for me to come back, it will just take a moment."
"..." Mason Nightshade felt that this woman really was treating him like a child.
A child...
Forget it.
Mason Nightshade understood her heartache, so he never forced her to have children. As long as he could be with her, it wouldn’t matter if they never had children.
After washing the dishes, Aurelia Shaw pushed Mason Nightshade back to the bedroom. Thankfully, their duplex had an elevator.
Once inside the room, Aurelia Shaw crouched down in front of Mason Nightshade, "Do you need me to help you take a bath?"
Mason Nightshade’s mind buzzed suddenly, his brain went completely blank for a moment, staring dazedly at the beautiful face before him for two seconds, confirming she wasn’t joking, his ears turned red instantly.
"No need!" It took a good while for Mason Nightshade to squeeze these words through his teeth, but certain embarrassing images couldn’t help but rise in his mind, the redness of his ears quickly spreading across his face.
Mason Nightshade reached out with his five fingers to cover his face. Without needing a mirror, one could imagine his scorching cheeks now flushed bright red.
Usually, he was the one to bathe her, and then they... Now the situation had reversed.
Mason Nightshade didn’t mind this reverse kind of care, although he pictured such things, he knew clearly with his current physical condition, nothing was going to happen.
That girl just purely wanted to help him take a bath.
Yet, her simple request made his heart race, a warmth stirred within his abdomen endlessly, tormenting him to the brink of madness.
"Mason Nightshade?" Aurelia Shaw asked in confusion, frowning as she looked at Mason Nightshade’s silent and strange manner. After a moment, she asked softly, a bit disappointed, "Is it not okay? But I’m very worried about something happening to you inside, Dr. Xue warned that you can’t touch water, or... should we not shower?"
She asked cautiously, as if if he said to bathe, the next moment might make her face show a troubled expression, reluctant to bother herself, yet still worried for him.
Mason Nightshade calmed his mood, his heart had long since melted into a puddle from her soft voice.
"Ahem! Push me to the bathroom," a deep voice came from under the five fingers.
"You agree?"
"Hmm."
Beneath the five fingers, his face was red enough to drip blood.
...
Aurelia Shaw pushed Mason Nightshade into the bathroom.
She took off Mason Nightshade’s clothes one by one, looked at him covering his face unwilling to lower his hands, furrowing her delicate brows, "Mason Nightshade?"
"Hmm," Mason Nightshade responded lowly.
"Are you uncomfortable?" Aurelia Shaw crouched down, scanning his chest, her heart aching from the shocking sight of his wounds, the dull pain almost made her unable to breathe, quickly moving her gaze to Mason Nightshade’s face.
