Chapter 1275: Aurelia Shaw Cries: If You Won’t Undress, I’ll Help You Undress!
Junia Simpson received a call and quickly arrived; by then, the two had been moved to a room.
Junia pushed open the door, strode towards Mason Nightshade, unbuttoned his shirt, took out his portable medical supplies, crouched down, and reached out to try to open Mason’s shirt.
Mason leaned back, his face stern and tense, lips pale, it was unclear whether due to his condition or anger.
"No need, we’ll talk back home. Have they been notified?" Mason asked.
Junia realized belatedly, gave Aurelia a meaningful look, and said, "I’ve notified them."
"Let’s head back first and..." Mason tried to stand, but suddenly a shadow loomed over him. Aurelia placed her hands on either side of the sofa, her eyes fixed unwaveringly on Mason, her fingers tightening around the armrest, veins popping on the back of her hand, slightly trembling.
"Aurelia..."
"Take off your clothes." Aurelia said word by word.
"Stop with the fuss. Even if you want to, let’s talk back home." Mason placed his hand on her waist and chuckled lightly.
Aurelia furrowed her delicate brows tightly, eyes stinging, taking a deep breath to hold back her tears.
He indeed was hiding something from her. In the past, before he could speak, his hands would act unfaithfully, pulling her into his embrace to show he genuinely wanted her.
But now.
There was no strength in the hand resting on her waist.
How did he plan to walk out of this door?!
"Take off your clothes; if you don’t, I’ll help you!" Aurelia’s hands tore at Mason’s shirt, buttons popped off, falling to the ground, the sound of tearing fabric rang out, revealing a chest heavily bandaged and bleeding.
Tears flowed uncontrollably down Aurelia’s face, first from her eyes, then covering her whole face. She clutched Mason’s shirt, buried her head in his chest, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably, lower teeth biting hard on her lower lip, a grief-laden sob escaping through her lips.
Mason raised his hand, embracing Aurelia’s back, holding her tenderly in his arms.
"I’m fine. Not in pain, really not in pain." Mason comforted.
"Mason, you big liar. You promised you’d never deceive me—you’re just a big liar. I shouldn’t have believed you, liar! Big liar! Big liar!" Aurelia wept bitterly, wanting to hit him, but seeing his injuries, she couldn’t bring herself to lay a hand on him.
This big liar.
Actually hid it from her for so long, acting as if nothing happened in front of her, unaware of how many times the wounds had reopened not to let her find out.
Aurelia wanted to throw herself into Mason’s arms and cry, but his body was covered in injuries, touching anywhere would cause him pain, her heart aching fiercely.
"Last time, everyone hiding your whereabouts, you were hurt, right? Adrian Cooper wouldn’t let me see you because of your wounds, right? For so long, you never told me, you actually kept it from me all this time." Aurelia cried bitterly.
She hadn’t shed tears for a long time, yet at this moment, tears flowed uncontrollably, everything she had held back—the grievances, the strength, all collapsing—meaningless in front of this man, all meaningless.
"I tried to probe you this morning. Did you deliberately try to make me feel guilty, try to make me responsible for you my whole life? You big liar! From now on, I won’t believe a single word you say!" Aurelia cried, her makeup ruined, she casually wiped it with her hand, feeling unsatisfied, grabbing Mason’s shirt to wipe her tears.
