Tou no Madoushi

Episode 22: The Sword of Vespe

The hands-on class on ring magic was only coming to an end. Most students finished showing off their practical skills and all that remained was Lynn.

There was a relaxed, lazy air in the classroom, but only Lynn was honking her chest at the exhilaration of being able to touch 'Lucendo's Ring' for the first time in a long time.

"Oh, looks like Lynn's turn is here. Lene, good luck ~" Sheila cheered when she saw Lynn advancing in front of the ring.

Lynn was a little embarrassed but waves to Sheila to show her gratitude.

"Looks like he's the last one."

Someone in the gallery said.

"Really?

"Do you take a good look at the end"

Seems to have some interest back in the upper classmates who seemed bored in the gallery when they found out they were the last students in Lynn. Some pay attention to Lynn.

Lynn gently laid her hands on the ring. Then the ring also reacts and the light overflows from the gap in the hand.

Lynn had a hunch. I have a feeling I can use this ring better than before.

Lynn had been able to feel the waves of magic coming out of her insides as she waved her wand many times over the past six months to carry something heavy or manipulate the elevator.

Lynn closes her eyes and concentrates her consciousness.

(I've come here to wave my wand like every day. I've learned a lot of magic words, and my feelings for magic are sharper. I'm sure you can have a deeper conversation with this ring than before. Come on, tell me. a magical spell that draws your power)

The ring responded accordingly.

—— Vespe ——

A low, but clear voice echoes in Lynn's head. No, a blinding light wraps Lynn's body.

The burst sounded and the rock in front of the pedestal broke in two.

A great sword pierces the rock twice the height of Lynn.

After a moment of silence, the classroom was engulfed with cheers and applause that just kept cracking.

"" The Sword of Vespe ". He's got the sword of Vespe."

Someone in the gallery screamed.

"No way. Lynn did?" Elios raised his voice of surprise.

"Heh. First time and what is a Vespe sword? You do it," Kruga says as impressed.

"I did it. My Lynn is the best," Sheila said happily.

Lynn doesn't know what happened and is a kyoton.

"Oh, great. Lynn," The Sword of Vespe "is the best sword you can express with this ring. I no longer have anything to teach you in this class," Wives says as excited.

"What? I mean..."

"It's a unit of ring magic. Congratulations."

When Lynn turns to the gallery, all the upperclassmen are clapping at themselves. Ellios has a surprise look on his face and Sheila is happy with her hands up. Even Kruga and Tidro are laughing and applauding at Lynn.

Lynn finally realizes that the atmosphere around her is celebrating herself, filled with joy.

"Yay. I did it, Theo."

Lynn rushed over to Theo and tried to express her joy, but stopped the movement once more.

Because I realized that the other students looked bitter at me.

(Right. Does this class go hand in hand with Magrillheim's selection? Then it's not funny that I get good grades in class, is it? We all want to get into Magrillheim. Ah...)

Lynn remembered. that there was a girl who was more bound to delivering results than anyone else in this class today and who wanted to be selected as Magrillheim than anyone else.

Suddenly, he felt chills on his back. Someone is pouring a chilling glance on himself. You must not turn around. That's what I intuited, but Lynn stuck around and turned.

And Lynn still regretted turning around. There was Yuven staring at this one with no expression at all.

Lynn turned away in a hurry. I was scared. I never thought I'd be so scared of the girl's faceless expression.

Tidro was satisfied over the gallery. The disgruntled appearance from its face to earlier does not even feel fine dust.

"Huh. Looks like you've decided who should join the advance party. Heisul. Deliver an invitation to our Magrilheim to his, Lynn. Pay" Tidro said satisfactorily.

"Ha. Okay."

"It was a meaningful time. Let's fry it."

That's all I'm saying, Tidoros. The faces of Magrillheim just turn their backs and walk away from the gallery.

While Lynn shriveled to the sight from Yuven, Theo stirred her up all the time here.

"Yahooy. The boulder is Lynn. It's just not the same thing as some upper-class guy who's been around for a year."

Theo shoulders with Lynn and does his best to congratulate Lynn on her feat.

"The boulder is my friend and companion, you're my lover and you're my tail. Hey, you think so, too, Yuven. Hey."

"Hey, Theo, that's about it..."

The other kids were pokans, but it was obvious between the three of them who this was about.

"Hey, you..."

Lynn is hacked by that too inorganic voice. I wanted to escape if I could, but I had to turn around more than I was talked to.

"Ha, yes"

Turning around, the voice lord was still Yuven. My face was half laughing. My eyes weren't laughing even though I was laughing. I was scared.

"Whatever. This is the strength of the man you keep ignoring."

That's what Theo says and fingers and provokes Yuven, but Yuven ignored and kept talking to Lynn.

"You're the kid who's always stuck with Theo, aren't you? I don't even remember his name because he doesn't exist."

"Ha, ha"

Lynn replies raw without knowing what to answer.

"Isn't that sloppy? I can't believe I hid my strength that way. I thought all the others were miscellaneous fish, if only I'd marked Theo."

"No, nothing... I can't believe I'm going to hide it..."

"You've been aiming at the right time to get in my way. I can't believe you crushed my chances like this knowing how much I valued this class today. Scary wow. You look like a quiet, big schemer. Will you do it? In the minute of the dove rat!

Yuven roughs his voice as he shivers his shoulders in anger.

Her paranoia kept swelling. Apparently, once I assumed it, it was the type that wouldn't stop.

"No, I didn't mean to..."

"What does your name say?

"What? Lynn, though."

"What's your last name?

"Erm..."

Lynn put up a good look.

"You don't have to worry about your last name. Because I'm just Lynn."

"I see. So it's a shame to even teach you your last name like I do. That's the first master of Vesper's sword in a practical lesson."

"Eh, hey, no..."

(Why to such an interpretation?

Lynn hastily tried to correct it, but Yuven didn't give me that time.

"I've never been so humiliated. Well, fine. You mean Lynn. I'll remember that.... because I won't forget"

She turns her heels back and leaves early. The last one's phrase, "Because I won't forget," contained a bottomless grudge. Lynn stunnedly drops off Yuven's hindsight.

"Did he really not remember Lynn's name?"

Theo said as he was flabbergasted.

Lynn kneels like she's lost her strength.

This is how Lynn finally got the cutest girl in her class to remember her name.

But as some kind of enemy.
