Lesson 23 Lynn, Girls Will Monitor You

Lynn was visiting a library room set up for the College Elementary Class. To prep for the next class.

Whatever. Dr. Surya, the metallurgical magic teacher, is very quick to get the class going. And suddenly I get a problem.

(I need to do a good preview to keep up with the class)

The library study room was wide open for many seats.

The library at the College Elementary has a lot more facilities than Renlil's library.

One of the things that made Lynn glad to be in college is this library.

I didn't have to blame it on a seating match here like Renlil did. I could always use it loosely.

Lynn's vacant. Someone sat next to her when she found a seat and sat down. When I looked at the other person at all costs, it was Yuven who was there.

(fah!?

Surprised Lynn turns away sassy.

(Why is Yuven here?

There are as many other vacant seats in the study room.

I shouldn't have had to bother sitting next to Lynn.

Lynn looks right at her.

Though she kept a book on her desk, she didn't read it, she didn't talk about anything, she just put her arms around it and stared at Lynn.

Lynn pretended not to notice for a while, but couldn't stand her gaze and spoke from herself.

"Hello"

"Hello"

Yuven returns his greetings with a smile.

"Um... what can I do for you?

"Yeah. I don't have any particular business. I just wanted to keep an eye on you."

"What!? Surveillance?"

Lynn was thrilled with the word surveillance. I wonder what it means for a girl to monitor a boy. I had a rather romantic feeling about the situation there.

"Yes, we're going to monitor you for cheating. 'Cause it's something crazy. I just came here to learn a year ahead of you, and I can't believe you'd do that without me. I just think you're cheating on something."

(Oh, my God. That's what I mean)

Lynn was disappointed to learn of Yuven's sincerity. She just wasn't convinced about one thing in the ring magic class the other day.

"I can't believe it's cheating. I didn't cheat."

"I don't know. That's what all the suspects say, isn't it? And you look smart."

(What, you look like a clever face)

"I can't believe there was such an injustice in such an important class. I'm trying to be fair. So I'll keep an eye on you for once. And as soon as I find evidence of wrongdoing, I'll report it to my teacher."

"Ha. But I don't think there's any evidence of fraud in surveillance of me. I didn't do anything. [M] Besides, I'm just studying now."

Can you do anything wrong with ring magic in the first place? Lynn wondered.

"Then that's fine. You concentrate on your studies."

After saying so and taking a breath, Yuven added in a strong tone.

"I'm just gonna keep an eye on you."

Lynn sighed. Apparently, it was useless to say anything.

"Okay. Then I'm studying on my own."

Lynn regained her mind and worked on her studies. Yuven watched Lynn read until halfway through, but when surprised by the unexpected speed with which he carried out the page, he began to read in a hurry, losing as well.

"Lynn, over here"

Theo waved at me when I got to the metallurgical magic class. Looks like he took his seat first. There were some friends around who were usually close to Theo, and some kids who weren't usually there.

"Hero's arrival."

Theo told me to stand up.

"It's a big deal."

Lynn sat in her seat shy.

"It's not a big deal. You did good."

"Hey, I was scared when I saw Yuven's pulled face."

Said the kids around Theo.

Lynn had been strangely lifted since she expressed the sword of Vespe.

It was all the children of the civilian class who lifted them.

They seemed to have more to think of against the aristocracy than against the Yuven individual.

Lynn feels complicated.

"Lynn. Weren't you with Yuven in the library earlier?

"Yeah. Something got tangled up. I thought you cheated on Vespe's Sword."

"Huh? What the hell is that? It's a lie," someone said.

"He's out of his mind," Theo said.

"Theo, that's too much."

Lynn disputed in a slightly stronger tone. Lynn felt like defending Yuven, though I don't know why.

Theo just shrugs his shoulders.

"Hey, hey, did the invitation from Magrillheim come already?

I've heard it feel like I can't wait for kids who don't usually talk. That's what we've all been waiting for.

"Yeah, it arrived. Here."

Lynn takes out the invitation she received from the association this morning from the bag. Wow, and cheered. Lynn turned the invitation around so everyone could see. Everyone wants to fight and see the invitation.

Some of the kids were just impressed with it because they took it in their hands, while others put on a ketch saying, "That's a surprisingly cheap piece of paper".

"Tell me about the expedition," some kids expected from the souvenir story as soon as possible.

Lynn felt tickled until the teacher arrived.

Lynn and Theo were on an elevator moving around the college. Lynn was in the library. Theo had business with the association and was with him until he was on his way.

"Hey, Theo."

"Hmm?"

"Is joining Magrillheim such an amazing thing? What's Magrillheim in the first place?

"Mm-hmm. I looked it up, too. If you enlist, it seems to be in favor of the Tower's strategy."

"Of the tower?

"Yes. When you graduate from college, you have them climbing for the top of the tower, don't you? We all form guilds when we attack. Magrilheim is one of the leading guilds."

"It is."

"Some of my guilds seem promising since I was a student, but I stretch my forefingers, and it sounds like Magrillheim is the most accomplished party I'm buying that kind of student,"

"Hmm. Theo doesn't want to go into Magrillheim?

"Mm-hmm. I'm not interested in the top of the tower."

"What, really?

"Because when I graduate from college, I'm going to take over my parents' family business. I only came here to learn because magic helps my family business. As a magician, you're free to come and go anywhere in the world and do business."

"It is."

Lynn felt lonely. Looks like I'm gonna be separated from Theo when I graduate from college.

"What about you?

"I... haven't decided anything yet."

"Oh well."

Somehow we both shut up.

Still, when the elevator arrived, Theo said brightly.

"Well, you should join Magrillheim's expedition for now. You might find something you want to do."
