Chapter 354: Gaining Fans Like Crazy
"And you call yourself a makeup artist with skills like these?" Eileen Scott was still not satisfied, but she had no choice but to begrudgingly accept it.
The makeup artist shook their head, a helpless look on their face, and turned to the other team members. "Who’s next?"
Only then did the other women step forward.
’There’s still a whole month of this. If Eileen Scott keeps acting like this, we’ll never be able to stand it!’
...
At 9:00 AM, the live stream began.
As soon as it went live, everyone was shocked. So many people were already online watching, even at this early hour!
Melody Monroe’s team had the most viewers, with over 30,000.
The second-place team had over 10,000.
The third-place team also had over 10,000.
Bringing up the rear was, yet again, Eileen Scott’s team, with just over 1,000 viewers.
"Everyone has now spent their first night at the campsite. We’ll start by announcing the results of the first task. In first place, Melody Monroe’s team. In second, Eileen Scott’s team. Third, Shannon Paxton’s team, and fourth, Isaac Warren’s team."
"The corresponding points have been awarded to each team’s account. Now, we will announce today’s task."
"For today’s task, you must use ingredients you find on-site to cook a meal. The meal must include at least one meat dish and one vegetable dish."
As soon as the announcement was made, every team had the same expression.
’How are we supposed to complete a task like that?!’
’Where are we supposed to get a wok? How are we supposed to cook anything? How is this even possible?’
’Forget about not having the equipment—most of us probably couldn’t cook a decent meal even if we did!’
The team members all turned to look at Melody Monroe, pinning all their hopes on her.
"We still need one more small bamboo hut, but it doesn’t have to be as big as the last one. Let’s stick to yesterday’s plan and get it built. We can work on today’s task for dinner. With the experience we gained yesterday, building it should be much faster today."
"Okay!" everyone shouted in unison, all in agreement with Melody Monroe.
Following the same method as yesterday, they built another small bamboo hut. This one was for Shaun Owen and Jenson Yates, and the two men moved their beds into their own hut.
The two small bamboo huts, built right next to each other, were quite beautiful. They stood out as a scenic feature, even in this already picturesque location.
After several hours of work, it was past noon. The team ate the lunch provided by the production crew, then started brainstorming what to make for dinner.
Foraging for ingredients on-site, and needing both a meat and a vegetable dish, was just too difficult.
"There are plenty of wild vegetables in the mountains, so the veggie dish should be easy," one of them said. "But the meat dish... surely they don’t expect us to go hunting, do they?"
"That’s not realistic at all. What kind of game could we even find in these mountains nowadays?"
Melody Monroe gazed at the river in the distance. "There might not be game in the mountains," she said, "but there are definitely fish in the river."
"But we don’t have any fishing rods or nets, and we can’t possibly catch them with our bare hands!"
"I have a way," Melody Monroe said, nodding with a smile.
They continued their discussion naturally. Not a single person tried to hog the camera, but the lens still captured each and every one of them.
The atmosphere was, surprisingly, even better than the day before.
The live comments were also overwhelmingly positive.
"I could watch them like this all day and not get tired."
"Yeah, watching them is so relaxing."
"I’m so excited! I can’t wait to see what delicious food they make."
"I swear, it feels like Melody Monroe can do anything! I’ve completely fallen for her, what do I do? But I’m a girl too!"
