Next up was the scene where Raymond Ford would slap Rhona Hughes back, leading to an argument. Hailey Paige would then enter, and Zane Langdon would defend the other two while scolding Rhona Hughes. After they finished filming that, it would be Melody Monroe and Zane Langdon’s scene.

"Action!" The director’s voice rang out as the camera pushed in on the two actors in the center.

Raymond Ford was clutching his cheek, glaring furiously at Rhona Hughes.

"Are you trying to seduce our senior? Take a good look at yourself and your station. Stay away from him from now on! You’re not even worthy to speak to him!"

Raymond Ford suddenly raised his hand and swung it at Rhona Hughes!

"Cut!" the director yelled. "Raymond Ford, your aim was off!"

"Huh?" Raymond Ford looked at his own hand, a shocked expression on his face. "I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I was too nervous! Rhona, I’m really sorry."

"It’s fine, it’s fine." Rhona Hughes was seeing stars from the hit. But remembering she had just scratched Raymond Ford’s face in the previous part of the scene, she decided not to make a fuss about it.

"Touch up Rhona Hughes’s makeup!"

The makeup artist hurried over. Looking at the red print on Rhona Hughes’s face, she thought to herself, ’How hard did he slap her? To leave such a clear mark... How much foundation will it take to cover this up?’

Even after the touch-up, one side of Rhona Hughes’s face was still burning.

"Ready... action!"

"Are you trying to seduce our senior? Take a good look at yourself and your station. From now on—"

WHAP! Raymond Ford slapped her again.

"Cut! Raymond Ford, Rhona Hughes hadn’t even finished her lines!" Director Wallace was so furious he slammed the script down on the table. "What is going on with you?"

"She slaps you once in the script, and you’ve already hit her back twice. Way to go, Raymond Ford," Hailey Paige said, crossing her arms as if enjoying the show.

Raymond Ford shot Hailey Paige a look, then walked over to comfort Rhona Hughes. "Rhona, don’t listen to her. I really didn’t mean to. Does it hurt?"

"I’m fine, Raymond," Rhona Hughes replied, forcing a stiff smile.

"Makeup! Get her makeup!" Director Wallace yelled, holding back his fury.

He’d been filming television dramas for fifteen years. ’I’ve seen every type of person imaginable,’ he thought. ’I can tell who’s genuine and who’s fake with a single glance.’

But he wasn’t willing to call them out on it. The industry today was a completely different world from fifteen years ago.

He could only go with the flow and make compromises, like with casting choices.

Otherwise, he might have to abandon the career he loved and leave this stage for good.

After yet another touch-up, Rhona Hughes felt like the thick layers of foundation had made her face completely stiff.

"Are you trying to seduce our senior? Take a good look at yourself! Stay away from him! And you think *you* have the right?!"

Raymond Ford raised his hand and let a slap fly!

Rhona Hughes felt a ringing in her ears and, for a moment, went completely deaf.

"Cut!"

"That’s a take!"

She could only see people’s mouths moving but couldn’t hear a single sound. A few seconds passed before her hearing slowly returned.

"Rhona, we got the take!" Raymond Ford said happily to her.

Rhona Hughes clutched her cheek as a sharp pain shot from her jaw all the way to her ear.

"Are you okay? Did I hit you too hard just now?" Raymond Ford asked with concern.

Rhona Hughes couldn’t bring herself to say anything, but she definitely felt it. Yet, looking into Raymond Ford’s sincere and worried eyes, she started to wonder if she was just overthinking things. ’When I first signed with Stellaris, no one paid me any mind. Raymond was the first person to talk to me, and he’s been so kind and helpful.’

’Raymond can’t be that kind of person,’ she thought. ’I must be imagining things.’

"Everyone, get ready! We’re shooting the next part!"

Zane Langdon took off his headphones and walked over.

"You know what’s in the next scene, so let’s not waste any time!" Director Wallace reminded them.

’He was terrified these three women would stir up even more trouble.’
