Chapter 379 - 377: If the Pig Wins, We Can Win
Shaun Owen, holding the little pig, quickly grabbed a slice of apple from a nearby plate and offered it to the piglet. "Piglet, it’s all up to you!"
The other teams also looked down at their own little pigs.
"Come on, come on, let me give you a massage. Loosen up all this pork. Later on, you absolutely cannot let me down!" Shaun Owen placed the piglet on the table and actually started massaging it.
By doing this, he stole the camera’s attention from all the other teams.
"The ultimate scene-stealer!"
"What a goofball. Definitely the comedic relief."
"Pig: ’Is this guy planning to eat me? He’s checking how much fat and lean meat I have!’"
"These comments are hilarious. You should all be sent to the desert to plant trees!"
The comments section was exploding with activity.
"Knowing this production team’s usual tricks, this challenge can’t be that simple. Suddenly, I’m kind of looking forward to it."
"Yeah, I think so too!"
Sure enough, the production team immediately announced, "Each lane has a few obstacles. Our piglets have all undergone special training and are fully capable of clearing these obstacles. The catch is, their handlers must learn the commands. Only if you give the piglet the correct command will it obey you and transport the carrots."
It really wasn’t going to be that simple.
Did this mean the guests would have to learn animal training skills?
No one knew how this task would turn out. This was the first head-to-head confrontation between the four teams, and there was no telling who would ultimately emerge victorious.
"Stay strong! We can win!" Shaun Owen cheered his team on.
"Why do I feel like that statement sounds a little strange?" Nana Owen said, looking at the miniature pig in Shaun Owen’s arms.
"You mean if the pig can win, *then* we can win, right?" Jenson Yates added.
"Same difference!"
"Alright, please have each team send one representative up to learn the commands."
"Shaun Owen, you should go," Melody Monroe said to him.
"Me?"
"That’s right. You’ve been carrying it this whole time. It’s definitely bonded with you, so it’s more likely to listen to you."
"Shaun Owen, you go!"
"Alright! I’ll go."
Eileen Scott had absolutely no intention of learning how to train a pig, so she sent one of her teammates up instead.
The animal trainer began teaching them a few gestures, which didn’t look too difficult.
The only question was whether the miniature pigs would obey when it was their turn.
The team members changed into boots and headed toward the course.
At the starting line of the course, a basket of carrots had already been placed.
Melody Monroe and the others walked toward the finish line. The small baskets on the pigs’ backs were so tiny they could only hold one carrot at a time. This meant that to transport all the carrots, the pigs would have to run back and forth more than a dozen times!
The two referees were also in position, holding stopwatches and ready to time the race.
"Is everyone ready?"
"Ready!"
"On your marks! Go!"
On camera, everyone quickly loaded a carrot into the basket on their pig’s back. As soon as they were loaded up, the piglets immediately nosed open the small gates at the start of the lane and took off toward the finish line.
"Quick, quick, Pigsy, go! Run, run, run!"
The piglets were extremely fast, and the designated handlers from the four teams ran alongside them.
Soon, the piglets encountered the first obstacle.
They had to get over a barrier that was taller than they were.
All four piglets stopped, unsure how to proceed, and could only look at the people running alongside them.
"Jump! Jump!" Shaun Owen immediately made a leaping motion with his hands. He felt his gesture was perfectly clear!
’It has to work!’
But his piglet just stood there, completely motionless.
