Chapter 70: Can’t Wait Another Second
"You still don’t believe me? Haven’t you seen all the dirt on her online? People have been saying for ages that she was having an affair with the chairman of The Scott Group, and Jedediah Scott just got tired of her and dumped her!"
"You actually believe stuff from the internet? You can look at that kind of thing, but you shouldn’t take it seriously."
"Melody Monroe is really a piece of work, believe me!" Rhona Hughes got a little frantic when she saw Raymond Ford’s uninterested expression.
"Rhona, just hang tight for a second. I’m going to the restroom." Raymond Ford stood up and walked toward the restroom.
Rhona Hughes, sitting alone at the table, was a bit bored. Her gaze suddenly fell on Raymond Ford’s laptop. She opened what Raymond had just been browsing, and her eyes flew wide open!
It was all news about Melody Monroe—and it was all explosive!
She quickly sent the files to her own phone.
When Raymond Ford came out and saw Rhona Hughes looking at her laptop, she ran over in a panic. "Rhona, were you on my laptop?"
"You know so many of Melody Monroe’s secrets. Why haven’t you exposed them!"
"A colleague sent it to me. This is the kind of thing you just look at. If it got out, Melody Monroe would be finished. I was just about to delete it!" Raymond Ford said, a nervous look on her face.
’Finished?!’ A flicker of a smile crossed Rhona Hughes’s eyes. ’Isn’t that exactly what I want?’
"Raymond Ford, you’re just too naive! You’ve never dealt with Melody Monroe, so you don’t know how manipulative she is. She completely screwed me over!"
The reason Rhona Hughes hated Melody Monroe was because of that one talent show.
If it weren’t for Melody Monroe, she would have definitely been the champion!
She would have been the one to sign with Rose Shaw! It was all Melody Monroe’s fault for getting in her way. Melody Monroe was a stumbling block on her path!
"If your colleague could send you this stuff, it must not be some big secret. Since Melody Monroe had the nerve to do it, why would she be afraid of being exposed? It’s not like she’s only slept with one or two people. If you don’t release it, someone else will eventually."
"If someone else releases it, that’s their business. Anyway, I’m fine with just taking a look at this stuff." Raymond Ford then deleted the file directly.
Rhona Hughes was secretly relieved. She had just taken the chance to send a copy to herself while Raymond Ford wasn’t looking!
"It’s so late, I won’t bother you any longer. I’m heading back now. See you on set tomorrow."
"Okay, see you tomorrow."
After seeing Rhona Hughes off, a smile played on Raymond Ford’s lips.

It seemed that word, "goddess," no longer held much marketing value.
But Melody Monroe was so beautiful that she could live up to the title! So, after some consideration, Rose Shaw began to cultivate this persona and image for her.
Being beautiful was an advantage.

Currently, the only news about Melody Monroe online was still about her injury and her discharge from the hospital a while back.
Even with the recent recasting and added scenes, Rose Shaw had suppressed all news of it. She avoided any external publicity and kept things tightly under wraps.
Because at this stage, any piece of negative news could be a fatal blow to Melody Monroe.
