Chapter 50: The Blessing of the Bear God
Kellar opened his eyes feeling more relaxed than usual. The constant warmth from the fireplace had allowed him to sleep a bit longer than normal. However, feeling a warm hand moving over his cock, a sly grin spread across his lips.
"Someone woke up horny?" said Kellar, looking at Mila. "You want to keep having fun like last night?"
Hearing that Kellar was awake, the three women reacted. Without giving him time to get up, Mila slid down and wrapped her mouth around his dick, sucking on him with eager enthusiasm. Meli leaned over his chest to kiss him on the lips, while Maya positioned herself between his legs to caress and lick his testicles.
The assault was relentless. Between Mila’s suction, Maya’s devotion, and Meli’s burning kisses, Kellar couldn’t last very long, coming hard into Mila’s mouth in less than two minutes.
"Just a morning greeting for our man," said Meli, wiping her lips with a smile. "You can’t walk around with full balls; we’ll make sure to help you stay relaxed at all times."
Kellar could only laugh at being treated so well. He rested his head back for a moment before looking at the three of them.
"I thought about what you said last night and I think you’re right," said Kellar. "However, I still need to go out hunting to bring back food. If I want to be the leader of the tribe, I need them to depend on me and win their hearts. That will earn me their absolute loyalty."
Hearing that Kellar planned to overthrow the current clan leader left the three of them taken aback for a second. However, the feeling vanished immediately. What did a simple clan leader matter compared to their man? If Kellar wanted the leadership, they would follow him to the death.
"I’m heading out to the forest early today," said Kellar, standing up.
Mila didn’t waste any time; she grabbed her clothes and ran behind him, ready to tag along.
"Don’t you two want to eat a bit before leaving?" said Maya, looking at the table.
"No, I’m full," said Kellar, pausing before looking at Mila. "Do you want some? We might take a while to get back."
"I’m not hungry right now, but I’ll pack a little in case you get hungry on the way," said Mila.
Like a dedicated wife, she quickly stored some dried meat in a leather pouch before both of them ran out of the cabin.
As soon as he stepped into the snow, the white cat appeared once again among the branches.
"Have you seen a massive animal around here?" said Kellar.
"Massive?" said the cat, tilting its head. "There are some beyond the mountain. However, they are very strong and aren’t afraid of me."
Kellar hadn’t expected that answer, but he reasoned it was obvious: the cat wasn’t the absolute king of the forest.
"Well, look for something at least twice as large as yesterday’s pig," said Kellar. "I need to get some good tendons."
"Tendons? What’s that, master?" said the cat, confused.
Kellar paused for a moment to think about how to explain it to the beast. Imagining the limbs of a prey, he pointed to his own legs.
"It’s this part that connects the muscles," said Kellar. "The bigger the legs, the better."
"Ahh! You wanted it to have big legs," said the cat, waving its tail. "I thought you wanted it to weigh a lot and be fatter."
Kellar realized the misunderstanding and smiled.
"Do you know of any creature like that?"
"Yes, there’s a huge bird near the river up ahead, close to where we met," said the cat.
"Excellent, that’s a great spot. Let’s go," said Kellar.
As was custom, they stopped first to pay their respects to the Bear God statue. Kellar wanted to keep things as natural as possible in front of the tribe, so this time he took the initiative and told Mila to join him.
Both stopped before the stone effigy and bowed deeply. In that instant, a System notification popped up in Kellar’s sight:
[Furious Bear Blessing Detected]
[+20 Strength]
[+20 Stamina]
[Blessing Time Remaining: 23:59:59]
Kellar felt a powerful rush flood through his entire body; a surge of energy swept through his muscles, driving his stats to 62 Strength and 73 Stamina. It was a massive boost of nearly 30%, and lasting a full day, the blessing was a fantastic bargain.
"Thanks, old bear," said Kellar, laughing happily.
"You seem happier," said Mila, looking at him with curiosity.
"Yesterday when we passed by here... did you feel something from the statue?" said Kellar.
"Yes, same as today," said Mila. "It gives me strength. That’s why before going out to hunt, all the warriors come to ask for the Bear God’s blessing."
"Damn, that’s pretty interesting," said Kellar, nodding. "Alright, let’s not waste any time or we won’t be back before dark."
Without wasting another minute, both took off at full speed toward the depths of the forest.
The white cat leaped and settled back onto Kellar’s shoulder.
"This way," said the cat, pointing with its head before darting off through the snow.
Seeing the beast speed up, Mila lengthened her stride so as not to fall behind. The scene mirrored the previous day’s hunt, but this time both of them had the invigorating Blessing of the Bear God surging through their veins. Without a second of hesitation, they bolted at top speed behind the feline’s tracks.
The cat moved with agility between the frozen tree trunks, pausing for brief moments to sniff the air before suddenly snapping into a new direction and taking off once more toward the depths of the forest.
After more than five hours of intense running, with the sun high in the sky but barely providing any warmth over the blanket of snow, they reached the banks of a small, partially frozen stream.
The cat came to a sudden halt on a rock and pointed forward with its paw. As Kellar looked up and spotted the creature waiting on the other side of the water, he couldn’t help but smile with pure joy. It was exactly what he was looking for.
