Trinitas Mundus

Episode XI: Alarm

I finished discussing how Stella fought and all I had to do was sleep.

Ray had a hard time sleeping in a situation where he was in the same room with two women.

(If it was just Ash and me, I'd be glad... Ash is surprisingly stiff, so when I get escorted, it's a "I'm at work” word in the inn, because he won't deal with me... when can we be alone?

And then I think about what's going to happen, and I get even more bored.

(It's about a hundred and forty km from here to Fonce. We can wear it in about four days if it's just us, not the escort... it's May 24th, so we'll be seeing Ash's father by the end of the month at the latest... celebrities enough to know Mr. Morkley and other mercenary buddies... and fiercest enough to be said to be the strongest in the country. That person is drowning about Ash...... haha, all I get is a sigh. I want to escape...)

And then the thought flows about Stella.

(As it is now, I don't think it's a good idea. You can't throw it out on that either. But as it is, can I stay with you? Does continuing these three weird relationships do her good?

Hit him over and over again, and his thoughts turn even further.

(Why am I here? What brings you here? So far, I don't have the hangover to find it. I don't know whose will or whose intention it is, but by chance, I can't imagine that I've come to this world. It can't be too convenient to get into the world of novels I've written. If I were to trip into another world, it would normally be a more different world. Someone called me here. That's for sure......)

Staring at the ceiling, I was thinking about the original world, about myself.

(It's been almost two months since I've been here. But this body isn't mine. Maybe only consciousness flies this way and the original body lives normally...... no, I don't even know if it's the same flow of time as the original world...... now what's going on with my real body? Are you sleeping in a hospital in a plant human condition?

Ray was swallowed up by the vortex of his own thoughts, making him even sleepless.

Ashley wasn't sleeping either.

We also knew that Ray was hitting a turnaround with the grass.

(Can't Ray sleep either? What are you thinking...... are you anxious to head to Fonce? Or about Stella... No, I'm really going to be aware of her. Ray is looking at me. I also get the word for that. but......)

She was thinking about ourselves, too.

(The three of us, including Stella, return to Fonce. That's good. But then, like I said, Stella stands alone as a mercenary, and Ray and I travel together, will that be such a development?

Ashley was also swallowed by the vortex of her own thoughts, staring at the ceiling.

Stella knew from both her breaths that neither of them were sleeping.

(Neither of you will sleep. I wonder why?

And I was starting to think about a guy named Ray.

(What does Master Ray want from me? How do I live from now on?... No. Also, I thought about it. I've been told many times inside not to overthink...... spending time with Lady Ray and Lady Ashley, what does this mean?

Stella remembered the self-allusion she remembered inside, telling herself to sleep, quietly falling asleep.

The next morning, Ray and Ashley wake up, rubbing their sleepy eyes.

Stella had already woken up, but was waiting for the time for the two of them to wake up so as not to disturb their sleep.

Exercise your usual routine by breakfast.

As was decided in last night's discussion, Ray and Stella start matching one-handed swords, but the skill difference is huge, and Ray can't follow Stella's movements at all. Stella, too, Ashley tells me to take a closer look at Ray's movements, which are more irresistible than usual.

Seeing that look, Ashley thought it wasn't going to work from the start.

I moved my body for about an hour, and after breakfast, I left for the city to get Stella's gear together.

At the armor store, in Ashley's private stadium, we choose one armor after another that fits the stellar. I've just adjusted, and it's still around 10: 00 a.m. We also have plenty of time to get to the next city.

"Shall I say hello to Mr. Morkley before we leave?"

I'll go say goodbye to Morkley at Ray's suggestion, but busy he wasn't at the Chamber of Commerce.

"I'm sorry, but you have no choice. So let's go."

(That's a lot going on in this city, too. About Mr. Deoddard, about Stella. There's going to be a lot going on, but what's going to happen in Fonce?

Ray had a lot on his mind as he walked through the city of Cloik. And look at the two women who advance their horses together.

(Ash and Stella. They're flowers in both hands... they're both stronger than me... haha, I want to be strong soon...)

The man watching the inn entrance sees the Rays roll out into the city and follows in slow stride.

I watched him enter the armor store, the Deodard Chamber of Commerce, while replacing another man about twice on the way.

(Looks like we're leaving like this. If you don't tell your head...... will you make it......)

The man left the spot early on.

Stella was casual, watching the man, but never paying any particular attention.

The man who walks away, walks into a house.

Inside, a dozen armed men sat in their seats.

"Your head, they're moving. We left for the south."

The bearded man in his forties, called your head, had a niggling and creepy grin,

"All right, as you should, we can ambush you in the usual woods. Make sure it doesn't stand out. Two or three of us on the way! You guys follow them. Don't be noticed until the woods. You got it."

The men leave the house one by one. The last remaining head had an annoying grin.

(Two women have one young build. I'm talking about that branch manager at the Deoddard Chamber of Commerce who was responding because he didn't even feel like putting it down there. The inheritance you receive doesn't mean a thousand or two. At least 10,000, no, you should have 10,000 30,000 each... it's a really good prey... and you say women are the upper balls. Goddamn it, I'm looking forward to it...)

Rays' departure time was ten a.m. and halfway through, and the streets were relatively empty.

About thirty kilometers to the next city.

If we go at our own pace without escorts, we'll get there in about five hours, even if we put in a break.

After about two hours, the area turned into a loose hilly area.

(Nice view around here, too. It's a really beautiful country. Well, I'm talking about harsh winter... winter must be beautiful in the world of silver in winter...)

Ray was not nervous and relaxed and enjoyed the scenery around him.

Stella had noticed a bunch of people following her. However, he left it because he did not act particularly conspicuously and because the Rays did not give him any particular instructions.

Stella realizes that she is entering the hills and that a group of them are slowly approaching. Here we are, finally issuing a warning to the Rays.

"Master Ray, Master Ashley. Looks like a pair of five, about 100 meters back, are following us."

Ray and Ashley are both amazed at that.

"How long have you been following me? I wonder what that's all about?

"I think it was when I left the city of Croix and a little while later. At first it was the two of us, but we rendezvoused one at a time along the way, and a little while ago we were five."

After a little thought, Ashley came to one conclusion.

"From where I left the Deodard Chamber of Commerce, maybe you're following me. Perhaps they think he's an associate of Lord Deoddard's... he's trying to take his legacy."

Ray becomes even more surprised and a face that he says is incredible.

"But you'll look like a mercenary no matter how you look at it. We are. Is that what you think of attacking it?

"Right. But whoever comes to the funeral won't be surprised to think that we are relatives of Lord Deoddard. Look at the attitude of the employees of the Chamber of Commerce."

Ray was remembering what happened at the funeral.

(You did treat your relatives. But is that all you get me wrong? No, I have at least 60,000 C (krona) in cash. Is it worth the shot... and Cloik doesn't have a wall. Anyone can come and go. I mean, you don't know if a bandit walked in... and yet you wanted me to tell you sooner...)

"What do we do? If it's just the five of us, we have a good chance. If you buy time, people will come through."

When Ray says so, Ashley shakes her neck to the side.

"There must be a main unit somewhere. They would be our watchmen... there must have been some little woods ahead. I might have company lurking there. If you kill a horse with a crossbow called" Ishiyumi, "you won't be able to escape. Maybe that's what they're after..."

"You can't even get your hands on it first...... what do you do, Ash?

"Right. One option is to say we're going back to the cloic. The second runs the horses at once, hanging them through the woods. The third one attracts them by pretending to take a break somewhere. That's about three hands."

"How many ambushes do you think there are?

"You don't know that. With more bows and crossbows, we don't need that many people. You can hold back and shoot him with an arrow. Well, I don't think ten people are going down."

"At least fifteen... you'd be safest to go back to the cloike. Tomorrow, we can either swap into some merchant squad, or we can move closer together."

"But there's a chance we'll get an ambush in the back in anticipation of that."

(What do we do? If you're going to be safe, it would be best to go back to the cloike. But then don't give them the next chance... it's hard not to know what their power is...)

"Let's go back. I don't know if the three of us can fight each other, and if we get into a bigger merchant escort tomorrow, we won't be able to help..."

Ashley also agreed with Ray's proposal, "Right. Behind you, maybe not yet," he says, returning his horse's head.

Both Ray and Stella returned their horse heads the same way and began to return to the city of Cloik.

The men who had followed the Rays had been maligned by the fact that the three of them were about to return to the cloic.

"Damn! Have you noticed... at such a distance, why do you notice?

"I really am. We almost got into the middle of an ambush!

"I don't have a choice. Buy time. You let your head know."

While the five advance their horses, they ascertain how to stop them.

"Speak up and buy some time. If you still can't, aim for the man's horse. You got it."

The men grin slightly and turn to the three of them.

All we could see was a man in white armor coming towards us, a foolish sacrifice carrying gold and women to ourselves.
