Trinitas Mundus

Episode XVIII: The Mercenary Corps of Markat

Ray walked into the assembly room where he was first put through as he was shouldered by Ashley's father, Hamish Markat.

The mercenaries, who initially ventured hostility, also welcomed him wholeheartedly, as acknowledged by their own leader.

When I walked into the room, there were hedges all around him, "I've never seen a guy make the captain admit to losing," "What's that magic?," "Show me some more of that armor," "Where did you get your daughter?" and so on, and various voices are hung by him.

Ray can't hide his confusion for the first time in more than a duel victory with Cylon.

(What the hell was that first awesome feeling? What about this welcome? I can't keep up...)

When Hamish stood on the altar between the walls, he said to the noisy mercenaries, "Be quiet!" I had a drink and started talking where everyone's attention had been drawn.

"We're having a feast today!

The moment I said that, the inside of the room was like, "Ooh!" "wrapped in a cheer close to the anger.

As Hamish glanced around, the silence returned again.

"I'm sorry about the guy standing on the sentry, but give it up for bad luck. I'll tell the guy with the job tomorrow! Anyone who drinks too much and doesn't get a job is waiting for his usual punishment! Don't drink too much! Now, start prepping, as usual!

"" Ooh!!

Again, when the wrath of the mercenaries sounded, most ran away with a bummer as to whether the role had already been decided.

And only three other mercenaries remained around the Rays, Hamish and Alberic and Gareth.

"These are our captains. Gareth, it's from you."

When Hamish nominates Gareth, he gradually begins to introduce himself.

"It's Gareth. Gareth Ayling, captain of the squad. Say hello."

Gareth is a man in his mid-thirties, about the same height as Ray - about one hundred and eighty-five cm - and has a body as thin as a wire. He has offered his right hand with a look he doesn't know if he's laughing or staring.

Ray takes that right hand and returns the greeting.

The next disappointing beast man with a body - a bear beast man even bigger than Hamish and better than 2m - comes forward like he said Dosun Dosun.

And with a slightly noro-odorous way of talking,

"Zenga, it's Zenga Ormiga. I'm captain of 2nd Squad. No, but, oh, come on, you're strong. I want you to work with me next time."

Ray sees a fearful Zenga face, but that face was more adorable than he thought, and his crisp round eyes soothed his swordswallowing.

"Zenga, get out of the way"

To that voice, Zenga said, "I'm sorry," and I put it aside.

From the shadow of that giant emerged a human man, shorter than Ray. The man holds the spear in his hand and slowly advances forward.

"It's Elias Nifer. He's a magician, as you can see."

to Elias speaking in a younger voice than I thought,

(With that said, I thought you were just over forty big veterans because you say the captains... but they're pretty much all young... why?

The captains Ray saw were all in their early to mid thirties and considerably younger than the rest of the mercenary corps. From what Ray saw, it was about Hamish, the captain, and Bart, the stables, who looked over forty.

After Elias, a good, sun-burned female mercenary of about thirty years of age, a deeply carved beauty like Latino descent, entered.

"It's Valeria. Valeria Harvey, Captain of the Fifth Corps."

It feels light, even if it winks, and he talks to Ray.

"What's it like with Ash? How did you drop that super-hearted, blunt ash? I'm more worried about you than I am about beating the captain. Let me hear it later, okay?

(You're some kind of colorful person. But you're the captain, aren't you? I guess that means this guy's pretty strong, too. Besides, this guy just called me Ash. I thought you said you only called your family?

At the end of the day, an elf called Alberic appears.

"I'm Alberic Auger. The position is... is it Hamish's deputy?

(Calling Hamish away? Besides, what do you mean by that questionable form?

You only look like you're in your early twenties.

Alberic said to Hamish, "Were you determined to be my position? I heard Hamish say," That's right, put it on properly! "He was yelling back.

(Elf, so how old are you really? Let's ask Ash this later too...... and is Mr. Alberic a natural person?

"There's no third squad Lazareth today, so that's all the captain's got."

To Alberic's words, Ray was uncomfortable with himself exchanging greetings with key faces of the mercenary corps.

(Deputy to the four captains? Seems like a man. He's a great bunch of famous mercenaries. Why are young creatures like me greeted by these great people?... but could it be that they think you're Ash's fiancé? It's also father-approved...... the fiancée of the only daughter of the captain is considered the next candidate for captain? What! That's not true...)

He was confused by his thoughts.

(I like Ash, but I'm not willing to join this mercenary regiment... or at least I'm not officially going to. Once you've solved the Stella thing, you're going on a journey... If you've got something on your mind, it could be a big deal if you don't correct it soon...)

The captains, other than Valeria, left the room talking to the three of us.

All that remains will be three: Ray, Ashley and Stella, and six: Hamish, Alberic and Valeria.

"This place gets in the way. Let's go to my room."

Hamish takes the liberty of heading upstairs to his own office, without even asking the Rays for their views.

Ray looked at Ashley, but after sighing loudly, he followed behind Hamish.

They take me to the reception room next to the office room and tell me to sit on the couch. Hamish gives instructions to the guard who was holding back.

"Datas, get Ray and his Beastman lady's room ready for him. You can use Ash's room, right?

"Yes, your daughter's room is always available. Can you two have a room?

When Hamish nods loudly, the young soldier, called Datas, rushes out of the room.

"Take your time here until the room is ready. Ash, I need to talk to you a little. Do you have a minute?"

Hamish and Ashley stayed put and left the reception room.

The leftover Ray thinks about this later development and holds his head.

(It expands too rapidly. I can't follow you...... he said a feast or something, but what happens next? What to do......)

Stella, beside him, reassures that Ray's crisis has finally left.

(No one tries to hurt Master Ray for now. Master Ashley said it was okay too... but the people here are dangerous. I can't even be a shield......)

Valeria smiled lusciously and talked to Ray as she thought about it.

"Ray, can I call you that?

While Ray is surprised that he was suddenly spoken to, when he shook his head vertically, Valeria continues the conversation with pleasure.

"So, Ray, when did you get to know Ash? What happened to you? Tell me."

Confused by the stuffing Valeria, he explains Ashley's encounter.

"Ash went through the streets where the bandits and traitor mercenaries were attacked. So..."

From the story of when he was betrayed by escorting Baron Atlee to his confrontation with Bishop Azaro, he will be told in captivity.

Valeria listens to the story in an interesting way.

When I finished talking about Ray, I said, "Hmm, yeah. So, how's it going with Ash? What are you gonna do?," said Valeria, feeling like she said she was intrigued, embarking on herself.

Valeria's chest, visible from a shirt with a wide open chest, enters Ray's eyes.

(Valeria just seems like a rumor-loving sister... and yet, it's close. If they come so far to bend over, there's a valley or something...... so is Ash, but are the ladies here indifferent to these things?

"I don't care what they say... I'd love to be with you..."

As he hung on, he saw Ray answering and had a mean grin.

(Oh? This kid is a beginner than I thought. Now you've “dropped” Ash a lot... the captain won't be back yet, maybe I'll tease him some more in his spare time...)

"With that said, what about this beastly lady?

Ray was in a bit of a hurry because he was completely oblivious to introducing Stella.

"S, it's Stella. It's my, no, it's our... buddy. Stella, introduce yourself."

Stella just says, "It's Stella," and she shuts up.

Valeria was leaning her neck towards Stella's pale greeting as Ray panicked.

(What's this kid? Ray, you don't seem as feminine as you are with Ash and these two kids. But when you look at this kid in the eye, you don't seem to call him "just” buddy.)

"Stella, what are you, Ray?

Stella answers Valeria's straightforward questions without confusion.

"Master Ray is the one who took me from my previous husband. It's important to me to protect you."

"Hmm... you're important..."

Alberic pinched his mouth when Valeria tried to say something.

"Valeria, if you don't keep it that way, you're gonna get the impression that you're a mean sister."

"Oh, that's not true. Hey, Ray, you?

In response to Valeria's inquiry that made "Shina," Ray answers, "Yes," as she turns red.

(Hi, I don't like Mr. Valeria... he seems like a good guy, but he looks like a crook...)

Alberic talks to Stella so she can get out the help boat.

"Stella's sword-throwing, that was awesome, wasn't it? I haven't seen that Hamish play in a hurry in a while. But I saw something good today. I can only remember Hamish going blind two or three times after thirty years together. Hehe."

At the end of the day, for some reason, he's laughing in remembrance. Where the laughter had subsided, he was turning to Stella and asking questions in a subtle tone.

"Mr. Stella, maybe from Lukes?

Ray is surprised by the word and is about to get up. Valeria in front of Ray also has a surprising look on her face.

Alberic grinned, "I'm sorry, have you gotten in a little too far?" I apologize,

"But be honest with Hamish. Because if you get in trouble later, you're in trouble."

(I knew people from Luke's Beast Squad would be on alert. That's right, when I say the assassins are with me, they usually creep me out... naturally for Mr. Hamish, and I'd have to tell Mr. Alberic, his deputy)

"Stella says she's from Luke's Beastman unit. Precisely, they were put up for sale before they joined the force..."

Ray tells Alberic and the others what he asked Deodard.

"Stella's not part of the assassination squad. He's the same mercenary we are. I'm just a little bad with people..."

Seeing Ray describing desperately, Alberic thought he was a really funny young man.

(Even though my strength is considerable, I suddenly feel less confident. Now, give Hamish a grand opinion... a clumsy figure desperately explaining Mr. Stella. That's really funny. I wonder what Hamish will do? I can't help but look forward to this...)

When Ray finished explaining Stella, they both had a serious look on their faces and told him they didn't care.

(Good. I think you understand. But I wonder what I'll tell Mr. Hamish. I need to talk to Ash... about Ash before I do. These two are going to know...)

"Can I tell you one thing?

Alberic and Valeria look at each other unexpectedly because Ray inquires with a serious look.

"What is it? What do you want me to tell you?

"It's a relationship between Ash and Mr. Hamish. Maybe Ash ran away from home..."

The end of the phrase becomes smaller for what you decide to do.

"Well, if I say run away, will I run away? What do you think of Brother Al?

"That would be a runaway, leaving the house with one note."

(I knew she was a runaway daughter...... how was Mr. Hamish's reaction? I'm afraid to ask, but I need to hear it)

"What happened to Mr. Hamish then?

Alberic suddenly starts laughing because he remembers something. Valeria next door turned out to be the face she said oh, and started explaining it instead.

"It was tough, really. Trying to summon the rest of the crew to chase them, trying to put pressure on the guild... If Brother Al hadn't seriously stopped them, he would have been in big trouble..."

(Pressure on the guild... maybe I shouldn't ask any more... but that fits well)

"But that fits well, doesn't it?

"Brother Al is finally here because he's going to ask you about it directly from Ash. But I was scared to look like a beast in a cage. Because even Gareth was freaking out."

(Mr. Gareth seems like a scary guy like that skipper, doesn't he? Seriously?)

"So I found Ash at Knockdy and I heard him talking. Brother Al spoke to the captain and finally settled down, but you were depressed, that captain."

Alberic, whose laughter attack has healed, takes the story back.

"Sort of. It was definitely due to Hamish's overprotection. Even if Ash is over twenty, you don't like it when your father is a stickler. I can't tell you the details... but I'll never forget Hamish's face then. He looked more pitiful than he did when he ran away from the hordes of the great ghost Auga. Kukuku......"

(This guy is natural after all...... but is Ash okay? Am I supposed to be able to talk to you two properly?

Ray was staring at the door where Ashley and Hamish had left.
