Lesson 28: Meet the Commander

Even after taking care of the horse and entering the inn, it's still 4 pm.

Ray was asking Ashley what she was going to do.

"It's still early, but what do we do? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Get some rest? Or sweat in training?

"Renzi, Hal, any hope?

As Renzi notices a little,

"I'll let you rest till dinner. If you want to go see the city, why don't the four of us go?

Hal replied in the same way, "I'm resting in the inn, too".

"Tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, I'm in a small town again, so my sleepover is waiting. You should get some rest today. If you want to see the city, you can see it on your way home."

(It's a long night, and I guess I'll sweat for an hour or so. Will Mr. Renzi hang out with you?

I'm headed to my room, and I said, "Mr. Renzi, do you have a minute?," he caught,

"I'd like to practice my long sword now, could you take a look?

"Oh, you're serious. Fine. Anyway, because I only have enough to be rolling in bed. But I don't know, leave Ashley alone."

As usual, I thought older women wouldn't make fun of me.

"It's okay. Maybe Ash will come and train. And Stella, of course."

"Oh, yeah. Too bad......"

Ray threw his luggage into the room and headed for the back yard of the inn.

Under Renzi's guidance, Ray was in a simulated battle with Stella.

"Slow arm pull! The Long Sword feels just enough to poke the 10cm on the tip of the sword! You don't need a swing at a fast moving opponent!

Next door, as Ray expected, Ashley was barebacking, and in the end, Hal, who was tired, was in on it.

After sweating in training for about an hour, I head to the bathroom.

Here Corolt also had plenty of water, and the inn had a simple yet bathroom.

Sweat in the water and head to dinner where refreshed.

The dish, as Renzi said, is dominated by wild bird dishes, served with a grill of birds like a bird or mountain bird.

When placed in the mouth, the taste of wild meat spread, its distinctive smell and proud ale, making it an exquisite mariage.

"It's good! It's delicious, Mr. Renzi!

Ray doesn't think, he screams, but beside him Ashley also carries the dish to his mouth satisfactorily.

"I guess so. Find this place when you came forward. I'm making a mess of this place. How's Stella?

Stella, who was told the story, replies with a word, "Yes, it's delicious," but as usual, she didn't put her mouth on the booze.

"Let's have a little Stella, too. Because wild birds and ales fit perfectly."

With a word from Ray, I finally mouth Yale.

And he opened his eyes a little and was surprised, "It's really good".

Ray nodded satisfactorily,

(I hope you'll stay in the circle of conversations...)

As Ray watched Stella, Hal spoke to Ray.

"Mr. Ray is the first of these big escorts, isn't he? Pretty tough, don't you think?

"I do think so. I didn't think you had so much work to do. When Ash and I were combing, it was just a couple of carriage escorts, and that was a short escort for two days or so."

"When I was first there, too, you just failed because of your epilepsy. It was two years ago."

"I guess” all the failures ”hasn't changed much yet. Because it's dangerous, how many years were you under the deputy captain?

When Renzi makes fun of Hal,

"Please keep that to yourself. I'm supposed to be in sixth grade next year, too."

"Next year? That was level twenty-three, Hal. Then don't take another three years. Hey, Ashley?

Shaken, Ashley looks from top to bottom at Hull's hyoro so tall and unreliable. And then he looks serious and talks to him.

"Right. I don't know if it's going to take three years, but it might be difficult in a year and a half. Unless it's a massive battle."

Having heard that, Renzi waved her hands exaggerated,

"No, no, if there's a massive fight or something, this guy's gonna get hit first. So I can't."

"Oh no... both Mr. Ashley and Mr. Renzi are terrible. Say something, Mr. Ray."

To Hal's pitiful voice, Ray, Ashley and Renzi are attacked by laughter attacks.

(Ash could have made these jokes, too. No? Maybe I can finally say it. Mr. Renzi, Hal. He's a really good buddy...)

Ray laughed once and for all,

"I want you to stop saying that Mr. Ray. 'Cause you'd be the same age, wouldn't you?

As Hal said he was terrified, he shook his face wide aside.

"Well, you can't. 'Cause Mr. Ray's in fifth grade, and I'm in seventh grade rush. This world is a place of strength."

Renzi, who is beside him, also suddenly has a serious tone, from the joking tone he just had.

"That's right.” Renzi "is fine with me, too. You're better at it. First of all, he's a man recognized by the captain of that regiment. I'm sure no one will complain if you talk to the captains."

(When you say strength society, you can't break it that far)

"Strength... but I can't do my job. I knew I had to pay my respects to my senior. Hey, Ash?

"Oh, I think Ray can stay put. Well, I suppose it could be a little more grand."

Stella didn't join the story of the four, but to their pleasant atmosphere,

(I like this vibe. I don't know what I want, but somehow I can smile. I wonder why?

There was just a little grin on her face.

Leaving the city of Corolt, a gentle uphill continues and the altitude gradually rises. The landscape around the street also changed from wheat fields to pastures.

On the evening of the third day after leaving Corolt, a line arrived in the city of Bridgens.

The city of Bridgand was built within a valley surrounded by cleaved rock walls. There is a castle wall to the west and east of the city, and to the north and south its cleaved cliffs replace the castle wall.

Clean gorges flow through the centre of the city, and houses are built in a staircase on both sides of it.

(Something like "Sekikan" that comes out of the Three Kingdoms. Nevertheless, this is the last ”town” in the east where this little city is. There's only about a small pioneering village ahead of us, and you're talking about the fort of Chulock preventing the demons from invading)

The city of Bridgand has a population of three thousand, the main industry being the processing of demonic crystal stones around here. There are many adventurers hunting demons in this city, and more than three hundred people hunt demons all the time.

(Ten percent of the population is an adventurer... awesome. That must mean there's a lot of demons. The adventurer also talks about having more than ten amazing hands over the third level, so I guess there will be some pretty big guys out there...)

Upon entering the city, it would be dissolved in a commercial guild, just like Corolt, but since there are many adventurers in the city, we were all set to head to an inn often used by mercenaries and merchants on the grounds of avoiding useless trouble.

When we arrived at the inn, Valeria taught us not to cause trouble with the adventurers, but to extend our feathers fully here, because there is a twenty-four hour system from here.

(There's more camping from here on out. If you don't feed your English here, the rest is going to be hard)

There was a little noise at the city's west gate.

Because two mercenaries, a magnificent man with a huge two-handed sword and an elf youth with a synthetic bow, Composite Bow, crept through the gate.

A veteran adventurous man is whispering with his buddies.

"Hey, isn't that Hamish Markat from the Mercenary Corps of Markat (Red Arms)? I saw it once on Fonce..."

"That's right. That big sword and an elf next door.” Red Arm Hamish ”and” Armored Al. "

The two mercenaries proceed with their horses as they take their blurring.

"Here again, this is what happens. I knew it."

"Oh, it's troublesome"

The two mercenaries were on their way to the inn, grinning bitterly.

As the Rays headed to the dining room, they were cheering at the entrance.

Whatever happened, when the five of us headed out, two Hamish and Alberic stood at the entrance.

"Father... Brother Al... why are you here..."

Ashley was surprised and limping that her fathers were here.

(Did you catch up here? I'm going into a dangerous area tomorrow, so was I weighing the timing?

Ray wasn't surprised because Alberic had told him, but he was laughing small at the perfect time.

Ashley, who saw that look,

"Did Ray know? That the fathers would come here."

Ray said, "Sorry, Mr. Alberic was stopping me," and bowed his head,

"This case is also for Mr. Meracrino. Yes, it is. I'm anxious for the Fifth Squad alone, but the Duke's pressure made me leave crying."

"Well... if Brother Al was stopping me, I can't help it, but Sister Val looks rough"

Valeria stood before Hamish and Alberic.

The expression was full of anger, and the usual floating atmosphere was dust-free.

"Why is the captain here! Does that mean I can't be trusted!

"Yes, no, it's not like that..."

For Hamish, her teeth are badly cut, and that attitude invites her even more anger.

As Valeria tried to recruit more, Alberic was quietly speaking to her.

"Me and Hamish are going to inspect the Fort of Chulock at the request of the Alliance Commander (Duke). That just happened to be the same period as Valeria and the others..."

Valeria said, "But!," he exclaims, blocking his words.

Alberic still didn't break his smile,

"It's a coincidence, you just have to be as lucky as you are"

Valeria, whose anger does not subside, goes on to recruit.

"Isn't it obvious that it's an inspection at this time of year, etc! Are you saying I can't keep my precious daughter!

Alberic says cold to the exciting Valeria.

"Valeria, you've grown stronger, too. Now that you know the danger ahead, are you telling me? Are you trying to tell me you can reach Turok without us, without causing damage to the merchants?

Valeria's voice trembles at Alberic's cold gaze.

"But... weren't we originally judged sufficient by the Fifth Squad..."

"No, I'm not. Eric - the representative of the Meracrino Chamber of Commerce - would have been in a painful position, wouldn't he? That's why we decided to go from the beginning."

"Why didn't you say that first? If you could just say..."

That's where Alberic gets the look of a prank kid.

"'Cause that sounds more interesting. It's like Hamish was trying to say, I stopped him. Besides, if you knew we were gonna rendezvous on the way, you wouldn't be nervous, would you?

Valeria looked like she had lost her mind and dropped her shoulder, "This is why Brother Al..."

Hamish placed her hand on her shoulder,

"We're out of staff. You're no stranger to command. Me and Al will follow your lead."

Finally, the anger had subsided, and Valeria's expression was beginning to see her usual leeway.

"Okay. So why don't you join us for dinner? Ash! Come here!

Ashley and the mercenaries of the fifth squad surround the same table as Hamish and the others.

The faces of the Fifth Squad were delighted to dine with an unexpected captain.

But Alberic leaked that Ray knew from the beginning that he was coming, so he was tangled up in Valeria and scattered.
