Lesson 38: The Shadow of the Demon Nation

Rey, who arrived in the village of Chulock at 3 p.m., had the demon's body and headed to Hamish's.

Hamish relieved that Stella could have listened to Alberic's orders when Ray returned alone, but soon saw the demon's body and clouded his expression.

When Valeria runs the preaching, she shows up with a rough breath, whether she has run or not, and listens to his report together.

"I was attacked by these guys in that forest. There was no one else, but maybe I just didn't realize I was hiding."

Hamish said, "Right. Again......" he mutters.

Valeria tried to get some information on the enemy,

"Mr. Ray. How has this guy been attacking us?

"It's magic. It was a dark arrow. Just like my arrow of light."

Valeria turns to Hamish and confirms once again who the devil is.

"Captain, are these guys definitely in the little devil Imp?

"Oh, definitely. It's a little devil of the wing demon system. Eighteen years ago, I saw it in Kaum - a kingdom south of Lax."

"Was it before the last great invasion? Were there also Winged Demons then?

He might have been there, but we haven't seen him.

"Doesn't saying there was a little demon mean there could be a wing demon tribe? We have him here, but less magicians won't spare the struggle."

"I know. With Al back, we should be able to get some more information. Valeria, we're going to the fort. Thank you, Ray. I'll give you the magic crystal stone later. I'm gonna borrow this body."

Hamish and Valeria headed to the fort to consult with the commander.

In the canteen of the inn, the mercenaries were making noise about Ray's tailored little demon. He is made into a question-attack by his colleagues because there was a ray coming through back from Hamish's room.

"I'm talking about tailoring the little devil, is that true? Where?

"Have you seen the Demons? Any sign of the Great Ghost Clan?

"What are we gonna do now? You're going on a crusade?

Having trouble with one question after another he started to stand on the chair and talk.

"The little devil has finished in the East Forest. I haven't seen the Demons. The Great Ghost Clan, there was no Auga, and there were no traces of footprints or anything. The captain and the captain are now going to the fort to discuss their future response. Besides, Mr. Alberic hasn't returned from reconnaissance yet. Maybe we'll find out a little more, so please wait a little longer."

That's it, all at once, the place calms down a little.

Renzi says "Mr. Tired," turns a jock with ale, and Ray drinks it up all at once.

"Thank you, Mr. Renzi"

"So, to be honest, what happens? Didn't the captain say anything?"

"Mr. Alberic, it feels like you're waiting. I don't know how far ahead we've been, but I think we'll be back in two hours."

Ray didn't know where they were going. For that reason, I thought it was something that would soon come after me.

(The purpose is to confirm Stella, so I think she'll come back with a time difference... but at that time, both Mr. Alberic and Stella were aware of the Devil's surveillance, so there's a chance they'll scout back in more detail. I think it's okay because it's got that guy on it, but you're a little worried)

The Hamish will then come back from the fort, but will wait for the Alberics, saying that there was too little information and that it was not a decent consultation.

After 7pm, when the sun goes down, the two of them won't come back. The two worried Rays and Ashley kept waiting outside the inn until they returned.

At 8 p.m., Alberic and Stella returned to the inn.

"Welcome home. Are you all right, sir?

When Ray speaks to Alberic, he replies with a smile, "Yeah, I'm fine," but he immediately says, "Just in a hurry," and runs into Hamish's room.

to the remaining stellar,

"Good day. Well done."

"Thank you for your hard work. And you judged me well. It would have been painful."

Stella, who was labored by the two of them, with a slight scuffle,

"Thank you. Lady Ray was safe and above all."

The three went all the way to the dining room and tried to start a late meal. But soon after Valeria's call, the three of them were to head to Hamish.

"Ash isn't crazy because he's a squad leader, but why were we called? If it's the result of the reconnaissance, even though Mr. Alberic knows?

"It's about your father, you must have some idea"

When the three Rays arrived in Hamish's room, Valeria and the squad leaders were in place.

And when Hamish gets to his seat, everyone's gaze turns to him.

"I think we know the general situation from Ray's report, but the information Al picked up was even more difficult..."

Hamish will tell everyone what information Alberic sees heavily.

"... I'm going to the Fort Commander, Lord Hinschlwood, now. It will be a consultation there, but there is a possibility that a request for cooperation in the crusade will come. We are requesting an escort, but if it is a request from the state, we have to cooperate. Don't let your men take their wings off too much today. Tomorrow morning's first move could be possible."

Each squad leader was all nodding.

"We're going to the fort now with Alberic, Valeria, Ray and Stella. I don't know what time you'll be back. I'm sorry, but when I get back, we'll have another meeting..."

When Hamish finished giving instructions, the four squad leaders, including Ashley, quickly returned to their men.

"That's what I'm saying. Stella, I don't think you have a meal yet, but come with me."

Ray doesn't understand why Stella's going with him.

"Isn't it okay if it's just Mr. Alberic? So you saw the same thing?

"You're absolutely right, if that's normal. But this time, it's too serious. Depending on the command's judgment, a large crusade force, also a thousand troops, could be dispatched. You'd better have some information to make a report that moves that many troops."

"But with the story of the deputy, Mr. Alberic, I think it's enough?

"I don't doubt Al's words, and Stella may never speak. But you don't want to overlook even a few clues."

To Hamish's explanation, Ray wasn't entirely convinced, but the argument nodded aloud thinking it was a waste of time.

When I walked into the fort's command room, there was a skinny samurai about forty years old on the table.

"Lord Hamish, you've come well. I've heard the outline, but is it true, the information?"

Hamish takes his seat immediately after a light meeting with commander Saul Hinschlwood.

Valeria and Alberic get to the table, but Ray and Stella will be standing behind them.

"Lord Saul, I'm sorry about the night. These three men went on reconnaissance, and I thought they might want to hear it in person."

Hinschlwood nods lightly and begins to ask Alberic about the situation.

"Lord Alberic saw the demon clan, the wing demon clan, firsthand. Definitely a demon."

"Yeah, the Wing Demons themselves, I've never tried it before, but it was just as the rumor tells me, and you weren't a junior demon."

"Well... what about the number of enemies?

"That's impotent. I couldn't get any closer than that, and I couldn't stay long."

(Commander Hinschlwood, do you know Mr. Alberic? He's a great man in the country, isn't he, a front-line commander? Yet I can't believe that I can forgive this way of talking... or that things are too serious to get around...)

Hinschlwood asks if there's anything else he's seen, and when Alberic sends Stella an eye out, she's moving on.

Hinschlwood sees Stella, feeling like “Why this young woman?" Hamish, who noticed that gaze, explains Stella.

"Stella here is second only to Alberic. Stella, do you have anything to add?

Stella starts talking to the question, "I'm not sure..."

"Maybe he was performing some sort of ritual where the Demons were. I haven't smelled much. I think the unusual smelling fragrance was burned to the fire."

"Ritual... what will Lord Alberic think?"

"Right. The winged demon woman was wearing a brilliant costume. He wore a lot of jewelry around his neck. Well, there's a chance that that's a normal outfit."

Hinschlwood meditates and contemplates his eyes in silence. And after about a minute,

"For your information, I would like to hear the views of Lord Hamish and Lord Valeria"

"Right. I guess the Auga is the same thing that attacked me yesterday. Then there will be at least ten. I'm sure there's a little demon, but I don't know if there's any other demons. If the ritual calls for reinforcements, this one will be at a disadvantage over time. I would have assaulted the whole army. Is that the place?"

Hinschlwood nods and looks at Valeria.

"I disagree. Because it forces you to act in the woods. If the number of enemies is not known, there is a risk of total annihilation. I will ask the King's Capital, Fonce, for reinforcements, to push in overwhelming numbers, to stay in the fort and defend myself until reinforcements arrive, and I will go with this hand."

(I thought Mr. Valeria was someone who would absolutely follow the opinion of the captain of the regiment, but who could also say the opposite with dignity. Wow, Mr. Hamish is like a hero in this country...)

When Ray was thinking about it, Hamish came to talk to him.

"Ray, let me hear your opinion."

He is surprised and panicked by the sudden nomination.

Hinschlwood also looks strange when he sees him not even twenty years old yet.

"Even if he looks like this, he's a rare magician. He took down half of the augs yesterday."

Hinschlwood can't hide his surprise look, and as soon as he says, "No way..." he loses his word.

(Here's the normal reaction, isn't it? But why did Mr. Hamish talk to me? Just saying that there are about two hundred of us in the fort in the first place as well, even though we don't know what kind of soldier and how proficient...)

"I, no, I don't know how powerful this place is, so I can't answer that."

To that word, Hamish answers, on behalf of Hinshlwood.

"There are two hundred soldiers here. The subject is an archer, this is roughly a hundred. There are forty swordsmen, forty magicians, and twenty healers. About experience, but there are many demons here. So there's plenty of experience in action."

(I see. Castle fort on the border with no Adventurer or Mercenary guild. That's also because there have been more demons lately, there are many battles with demons, and they have plenty of experience...)

He uses the knowledge inside him to think about the operation.

(I guess the main reason the bow is the defensive battle over the fort. Do you feel that fighting demons is overwhelming with bows too? Am I supposed to think you're England's longbowman? Or maybe a crossbowman because it's a fort. Either way, if the enemy can erase the signs, don't be disadvantaged to fight in the woods...)

And I remember what Hamish and Valeria said.

(As Mr Hamish said, if giving the enemy time would be detrimental, just wait for reinforcements from the King's Capital is a lower measure. If reinforcements are delayed, this fort could fall. But Mr. Valeria also has a point. Whatever, I don't know the enemy's power, so I just lose my power if I storm in the dark...)

"Honestly, I haven't seen all the soldiers, so I can't say anything, but if you're good at fighting in the woods, I think you can take the offense. But in the woods, the enemy will be better at erasing signs and unleashing magic."

Here we cut the words once and see the faces of the three. Make sure the three of them snort,

"I would drag the demons out of the woods with a swordsman squad and shoot down the demons of the wing demon system with a bowman who lay low. If the remaining orgasms attack, run around and destroy each after tearing them apart. If the number of demons in the woods is high, or the Wingman comes after us in conjunction with the orgasms, we decide to retreat at the drag out stage. If you retreat, you will hang the chase only with a fast-paced wing demon system, so fight back with a bow, shoot it down, and then sweep to the fort. This will require less damage, and if no more attacks from the sky, it will be easy to wait for reinforcements from the king's capital."

Hamish, Valeria, and Ray, stared at by Hinshlwood,

(Did I say something awkward? Or were you stunned because it was too obvious?

Hamish was wondering who the man in front of him, his beloved daughter's lover, was.

(This guy... if you think about it, it's a plan that I can come up with. But I have thought about the distance from the king's capital, the fort's defense, the enemy's supposed way of attacking it, and in this situation where I don't know the enemy's power of war, I have come up with a measure that can be said to be the best in this short time. Ash, you really picked it up pretty good. If this guy were my son-in-law, I'd be easier too...)

"I think I said Lord Arklight. Were you in charge somewhere? [M] It's a brilliant plan."

Speaking of brilliant measures, Ray is in a hurry.

"Yes, no. Maybe if you have the time, it's a solution that you can all come up with, so much so…"

"Lord Hamish, Lord Valeria, again, I want to ask. I wonder what we should do."

Hamish was grinning niggardly.

"I ride Ray's plan. He can handle it just in case the enemy has a lot of power."

Valeria also smiled,

"I agree with Ray's measures, too. I want you to order my team to do this. We're better at this kind of work."

Hinschlwood looks up after thinking again.

"Okay. Let us fill in the details of Lord Ray's measures. If the place goes straight, it's five hours away…"

Afterwards, in about thirty minutes, the outline of the operation was determined, and despite the late evening, the class of captains of the defense forces gathered and detailed operations were worked out.

Stella had not made any particular remarks and stood on the spot, but was heartened by the figure of Ray, the Lord.

(Even though Master Ray is young, he is magnificent in these seats. My previous husband gave me away to this person because he was watching this talent... and I will absolutely protect this wonderful woman!

Ray even attended that operational meeting, and by the time the date changed, he was finally able to return to the inn.

Stella followed Ray as well, so she came back to the inn with him.

The demonic crusade was decided the day after tomorrow, and tomorrow it was decided to prepare for it, to leave the fort before dawn the day after tomorrow.

(Phew, I'm tired. I guess I failed. I got on with it and even thought about the operation. If my operation is wrong... so many dead people...)

Ashley, who did not attend the operation meeting, was waiting for Ray to come back.

"That was a long time. What happened to you?

Ray tells her a series of events.

"Right... the day after tomorrow. I go to the dining room. You get some rest."

Ashley anticipated a call from Valeria and headed to the dining room.

Ray worries about Stella, who hasn't eaten, and in the dark room, takes out the baked sweets and water.

"I don't have a meal, but I do have one if I'm portable. Want some?"

Stella said, "Thank you. I'll just have a little," he says, grinning, taking that sweet.

"Really good luck today. Like today, you just have to think about it."

That's what I say, put your hands on Stella's head.

She was delighted to narrow her eyes.
