Trinitas Mundus

Episode 44: Weapons Store Street Again

The day after Ashley's special training ended, the three headed to Weapon Store City to receive her chest armor, Cuiras, and Stella's armor and sword.

First, I'm going into Gusta's armor store.

Gusta the Dwarf shows up and says, "That sounds like something went wrong," while putting the chest armor for Ashley over the counter.

Its chest armor was a black-iron "Candlestick" color that emitted dull light, and even the amateur Ray was fascinated by its functional beauty.

"Your chest is much like Hamish's."

"He said it's the same as your father's... so it's over budget?

"I used a lot of top quality steel. It's not over budget, but I'm not making any money."

Gusta distorted his beard and laughed.

Ashley tried to say something, "But..."

"What, the money is enough for the skin of Serpent the Snake Dragon. If I had told the Knights of the Fountain, there would have been plenty of jumpers. I blew it."

Green Snake Dragon skins are easy to use for equipping the Green based Armored Springs Knights because they have a beautiful green color.

Gusta even used small skins that were close to fractures, such as leather for armor reinforcement.

Furthermore, the increased demand for protective equipment in this demonic uprising was also increasing Gusta's profitability.

"So I'll keep it serviced"

Ashley still looks uncomfortable, but reluctantly convinced the craftsman that if there was no loss to him.

Ashley quickly came out because of fine-tuning, once in the back, but little adjustment was needed.

Ray was impressed that his long-lasting girlfriend, wearing a black iron chest and metallic shoulder (sparder) and hipster (fold), was like a goddess of war.

(I haven't worn it today, but when I put a red coat of cage hands (gauntlet) on this, it is very picturesque...)

"Not a problem at all. Nice work, Gusta."

Ashley doesn't seem to be all right either, leaving a leather bag on the counter containing thirty pieces of white gold coins with a delightful face.

Gusta didn't even count, and when he threw a leather bag under the counter, he immediately came out with a whole array of deep green leather armor.

"This belongs to the lady of the Beast Man. Took me a while to process the leather, but I managed to make it"

The surface of the boiled leather had a resin-like hardness. And when the sun hit its surface, it was showing a beautiful emerald green shade.

Ray falls in love with so much beauty, but wonders if he's okay with armor that stands out so much.

"It's so beautiful, isn't this too conspicuous?

"Sure, all over the city, don't stand out. But in the woods, if you put it in the grass too, the opposite becomes less noticeable. So reassuring."

I didn't believe it in Russia, but I'm convinced it's something like that if the pros say so.

And make sure Stella doesn't have a problem with this armor.

"Are you okay with this? If you don't like it, ask for something else."

Stella, who had the armor in her hand, immediately replied, "It's okay,"

"I think this is great armor. It's light, and hard enough. And if it doesn't stand out in the woods, it's fine to stand out in town."

(If you like Stella, okay. And color, beauty, it doesn't matter. This is Ash too...)

She also disappears behind the store to make adjustments to the armor.

Adjustment was done about enough, and Stella came back in front of the Rays, wrapped around her whole body with deep green leather armor close to black.

When I received the light of day as it plugged through the window for brightness, the tail of the same color glowed over my bright green and silver hair, receiving a fairy tinge somewhere.

(You're more like a forest spirit or something than a swordsman. And it's beautiful)

As Ray is blinded by Stella's appearance, Ashley becomes just a little jealous.

(Beautiful indeed, but protective equipment is a tool of battle. You should put more emphasis on performance than you look. This armor wasn't made to make it beautiful, but seeing Ray in love, maybe my chest armor could have been designed a little more elaborate too......)

Stella doesn't notice Ray's gaze and makes sure she moves.

(A little heavier than the original armor, but easier to move. And it looks like it's gaining defense, so this is a good defense)

And when I'm done making sure of the movement, I notice Ray's gaze.

(Lady Ray's been staring at me? My cheeks get hot for some reason......)

With a slight blush, she immediately squeezes her expression and tells Gusta she has no problem.

"No problem. I think it's a really good product. Thank you."

To her straightforward words of gratitude, Gusta was laughing with a little light, "I'll take care of you whenever I want," she said.

Exit Gusta's shop and head to Bartel's at the weapons store.

When you go inside and call Bartel, a short dwarf appears as you pull the black forehead on the trademark. In his hand there were two slightly skinny swords, 70 cm long.

"This is the steel sword, this is the Mithril sword. Weight and balance should be exactly the same. Will you give it a try?"

The steel sword is polished, glowing like a mirror, and sharp cuts can be easily imagined.

Mithril's sword is similarly polished, but this one felt a little soft, emitting an elegant glow like a silver ornament.

(Wow. There are only 40,000 C (krona) and 40,000,000 yen swords in two swings. With that said, weapons in this world are of better quality than weapons in medieval Europe. Is it because of the Dwarves? When it comes to European swords, it's an image of tapping a metal stick that you just pointed at, but some swords in this world specialize in slashing like Japanese swords. This sword also looks like it has a cleavage close to the famous Japanese sword)

Stella takes it one wave at a time and checks the balance.

At the end of both checks, Bartel calls out.

"I can try and kill you in the back. Follow me."

When I went to the backyard about Bartel, five straw-bound pieces stood.

Stella pulls the steel sword out of the sturdy sheath of leather and slashes the straw bundle down diagonally.

The straw bundle cuts diagonally like a spa and falls off.

(Awesome cleavage. They say my long sword is a good one too, but it's not something you can slash so far. I asked Stella to make the cut as good as possible to fit her style of battle, but I'm going to be able to slash this far...)

While Ray was thinking, he was starting to try a second Mithrill sword.

Although the sharpness is slightly inferior, the sharpness looks considerably better than the normal sword.

Stella waved her sword over and over again to see if she was uncomfortable.

"What's the matter? You can't get any more sharpness."

"No, I'm just letting my arms get used to it because the balance is only slightly different"

"What! It shouldn't have changed at all."

Bartel takes the sword in his hand to take it away and confirms it.

Stella started explaining to Bartel to think about it.

"Mithril has just a little more center of gravity on the side at hand. But the sword I'm using now makes a difference, so to this extent, it's fine."

Bartel waved his sword several times with only his wrist, and he finally seemed convinced that

"Sure, it's only a few, but it's not... I wouldn't even notice if they didn't say" Craftsman ". Lady, can you tell right away... Ashley, who is this lady?

Ashley stares at Bartel, who has a lot to look at.

"Shall I ask you to stop prying my people? Stella is a fine mercenary recognized by her father. Nothing more or less."

Bartel immediately bowed his head,

"I'm sorry, that's not what I meant. I was wondering if the only double-swordsman I've ever seen was Lazareth of the Mercenaries, Captain of the Third Corps."

Bartel said he apologized and bought me the sword Stella was using for five hundred C's at a time.

(After all, anyone wonders who Stella is. My seventeen or eight little daughters have the arms of a mercenary of war...)

When Stella, dressed in brand new gear, went outside, she was in the gaze of someone on the road, with her beautiful shining armor in the summer sun and her rare young daughter's double-swordsman.

(I knew you'd stand out. I hope it doesn't interest weird people......)

The three of them who left Bartel's shop walked relaxed through the city.

Ashley seems to like her new chest armor, and sometimes, she touches it to make sure she feels it.

Stella, on the other hand, wasn't feeling particularly uplifted when she wore brand new gear.

For her, gear was just a tool, because it was an awareness of the extent to which it would make her job easier if she got a good tool.

But today I was worried about Ray's gaze and his emotions were spreading out of the ordinary.

(I can't help but worry about Ray's gaze. Ah! Speaking of which, I didn't thank you both for getting my gear together)

"Master Ray, Master Ashley. Thank you. Now I can work for both of you."

"I know, but don't push it just because it's a good piece of gear. Gear is just a tool. Just because you have better tools doesn't mean you're suddenly stronger."

I nod honestly at Ashley's advice.

"I originally bought it for Stella's money, so I don't want to thank you. I'm glad I got something more convincing than that."

Stella looked strange at the words.

"Is that my money? I am an ex-slave. I don't have enough money to buy this stuff, though?

"Because the money Mr. Deoddard left me belongs to Stella. This is what Ash and I decided to do."

"That's crazy. My previous husband should have given it to both of you. Not to me."

Ray worries about what to say, looks at Ashley.

"How can I explain that?

She also says, "Right," and arms up.

"Lord Deoddard asked Ray to make you his normal daughter. And Ray figured out what to do. The conclusion is that what Lord Deoddard left behind is to use it for you, Stella."

"Are you a normal daughter? What does that mean?

Stella doesn't understand what Ashley is saying.

"Mr. Deoddard wanted Stella to be happy. And we were asked to help. So until you're able to manage the money, until you're alone, I'll keep it. But Mr. Deoddard's money is yours."

"But in my previous husband's will, I should have let you both inherit. And what does it mean for me to be alone... to be alone..."

Finding it to be a bit of a prone development, Ray lowers his back to a bench in a nearby square, not talking in stand-up.

"When Mr. Deoddard died, you were just a slave to obey orders, weren't you? Yes, body and mind."

Stella nods small "yes".

"We couldn't abandon you in that situation. At least until we get people's hearts back, until we meet people we can trust..."

Stella just stares into Ray's eyes and waits for the rest of his story without saying anything.

"How do you know we're not officially in the Mercenaries?

Suddenly the subject changes and she gets confused. And I shook my head to the side.

"Me and Ash are going on another journey. I don't know when I'm leaving, but at a time not so far away. That's why I have you as a temporary member of my team so I can leave here at any time."

Stella shakes her head violently at the words.

"Can't I come with you then? Why... take me and me too"

"Why do you want to go with me?

Stella is confused by Ray's question.

"... I exist to protect Master Ray, Master Ashley. So..."

"Whose will is that? Because I asked you to?

"Yes... because that's what you said when you freed me from slavery..."

"Well, if I said," You two can do it together, "you'd have no reason to be together."

"What! Oh no... Am I unnecessary..."

He said, "There's never anything unnecessary!" and intensify the discourse.

"Of course I'm a dear fellow. But I believe that Mr. Deoddard's favor is not to be a" slave ”who obeys orders, but to be a” person ”who thinks for himself. So as long as you're with us, I think you'll stay a slave. Think for yourself and decide for yourself. When we can do that, I think we'll travel here. Hey, Ash."

"Right. You're right about Ray. I also consider Stella to be an important companion. But I don't think it should be the way it is."

"... why... why shouldn't it be like this... why..."

Stella was squeaking like she was relieved.

"Well, today, I'm not leaving tomorrow, and I still have a cup of stuff to tell you here. So you just have to take your time."

Stella sits relieved that his words are not in her ears.

Ray, who saw the appearance, thought it might have been a little sooner.

(I guess it was a little too steep. But if I don't tell you, nothing will change. And the thought of going to Periclitle, to the land of the adventurers, that I really have to go is starting to get stronger. I don't know why...)

Ashley was also confused by Stella's reaction.

(If this story suddenly comes out, I know it's confusing, but it's more dependent on us, no, Ray than I expected. Shouldn't it have taken a little longer, Ray...)

Stella even remembered her fear for the fact that she had to break up with the Rays.

(Leaving you two... what am I living for... thinking for myself and deciding for myself, what does that mean?... I can't think of anything... there's nowhere I am...)

The three barely exchanged words and returned to the mercenary regiment headquarters.
