Trinitas Mundus

Episode 81: Sparks

October 22nd, 6am

The Commander of the 8th Battalion 2nd Squadron of the Knights of the Springs was suspicious that Ridgeway, the 3rd Squadron Commander to be succeeded, was not in the jar and had no takeover from anyone.

In addition to letting him look for Ridgeway, he makes his way to the punishment cell where Arwell is located to see if the prisoner is safe.

At first, I turned my back and was horrified by Arwell sleeping, but immediately looked inside in suspicion. He finds there a young soldier dressed in Arwell's clothes.

"Arwell Kilgaroho has escaped! Notify Lord Braveburn immediately!

Lord Braveburn hears the news of Arwell Kilgaroho's escape and loses his word.

(Before handing it over to the Kilgaroho family... I pulled it out. This is going to be awkward......)

He immediately ordered the emergency line to be put up, and further made the king deliver the first report.

An hour later, little by little, information gathers under him.

It was the Commander of the Ridgeway Squadron of the Eighth Battalion who helped him escape, confirming that he was already out of the Royal Castle.

Thirty minutes later, he is asked that a Ridgeway-like knight has left the west gate of the king's capital, and despair spreads in the Duke's heart.

(Looks like they totally got away with it... I wish I could tie him up ahead, but if he's still missing...)

He felt that that dark future would be real, and he was worried about how it should be cleaned up.

8: 00 am.

Lord Braveburn reported to King Lionel XII on the escape of Arwell Kilgaroho.

After hearing his words, the king temporarily lost them.

"Oh, that's true... what did the Knights do!

With his head hanging, the Duke endures the King's reprimand.

"Announce Arwell's escape immediately! You must announce that the knight has guided you!

The Duke answers briefly, "I will," and leaves under the king.

(This won't solve it. Even if the truth were revealed, it would only appear that the royal family and the Kilgaroho conspired to let him escape. Well, what's the matter......)

Lord Braveburn announced the escape of Arwell, as ordered by the King.

The mastermind was Commander of the Third Squadron of the Eighth Battalion and also announced that he was one of the ministers of the Kilgaroho family.

The reaction of the lower knights, the citizens, was chilling.

As the Duke expected, rumors begin to circulate that the King and the Kilgaroho family are conspiring to make it Ariel free.

That information is immediately communicated to the Kilgaroho family as well, but the Duke of Augusta Kilgaroho officially conveyed his protest against the Knights' misdemeanour after denying his own involvement.

(This time, my Kilgaroho family has done nothing. This is a knighthood and royal misdemeanor. We have officially demanded Arwell's identity and have even publicly announced that he will be publicly executed. We don't have any downfall...)

But an hour later, at 9 a.m., Ridgeway and the others are found at the residence of the Duke of Kilgaroho.

The Duke heard the newspaper and held his head.

(The mastermind said it was self-harm in our mansion... now it looks like Noh helped Arwell escape and ended up keeping information from the executor... Noh has no advantage in letting Arwell escape. This is a conspiracy. But whose...)

He was beginning to think of it as a conspiracy to plunge the Kilgaroho family.

But no witness exists to prove the conspiracy, and I can't even get a clue about Arwell.

(The public will see that Non has hidden Arwell. Non has no way of overturning it. Then we'll have to find out who set up the conspiracy... maybe Lord Inverhollow will do this...)

Eleven am.

Citizens had begun to gather in front of the Royal Palace and in front of the Duke of Kilgaroho after 8 a.m. when Arwell's escape was announced.

There was just nothing noisy in front of the royal palace, but the disturbing air and the guards guarding the gates continued to sweat cold on their backs due to tension.

Meanwhile, the citizens in front of the Duke of Kilgaroho's residence were even more disturbed.

At first, acts such as cursing were cautious, but as people gradually gathered, it was like an embankment deciding with a slight cut.

And the fact that one of the surviving members of the advance party quietly wept his remorse became the cut off.

"How could you... my husband was killed by that man... how could you..."

One man sees how it goes, and he raises his voice.

"Arwell Kilgaroho out! Take that son of a bitch! Let this man apologize to the heroes of the advance party!

The voice echoes among the citizens.

Soon a few times the curse goes up and turns to loud enough to remember the physical pressure at once.

Guarding the Duke's residence were soldiers of the Kilgaroho family children, but they were also not comfortable with Arwell's deeds.

But a young commander in his early twenties - Eaton McCallum, an edger of the Kilgaroho family - who stood over their soldiers, remembered his anger in the contempt of the civilians staring at themselves. For this reason, I will not listen to their voices in any way, and I will give orders to the soldiers to eliminate them.

"This is the mansion of His Excellency the Duke of Kilgaroho, the lead duke's house! Don't make a scene without darkness! If you want to resist, get rid of it with strength!

By his order, dozens of soldiers threaten hundreds of citizens with spears and sticks to drive them away from the front of the mansion.

Citizens who were reluctantly obeying at first, but at once the angry voltage rises with the inadvertent words of the commander.

"That's how you follow us. Thank God it's our mercy that you can live."

The words were never loud. But a man in the arms of a former mercenary nearby hears it.

"What did I just say! He said it was thanks to the mercy of you nobles that we could live! Are you saying that this wife's husband's death is also your mercy!

To the scream of the man of the ship's arms, a young man, who was nearby, stuffs himself to the soldier.

To cut it off, the citizens who had followed the adults strongly also rebelled and stuffed the soldiers.

McCallum did not believe that the civilians would react strongly to the words, and by being even more vigorous, he tried to clean things up.

"If we defy any more, we will punish you for planning the rebellion! Now, leave this place!

McCallum, who could say that he had no experience in life, had no understanding of what noisy citizens were looking for. They just wanted to share their outrage at Arwell and his actions and their condolences to the war dead.

I don't understand that. He authorizes the soldiers to use their weapons.

"Anything that defies any more, we will allow the use of weapons. If you kill some people, you'll grow up. Don't make me spread any more noise!

The soldiers are puzzled by the order.

The old soldiers did not pull out their swords, and used spear patterns and stone pokes to try to control the citizens, but the young soldiers pulled out their swords, as the commander commanded.

"You idiot! Put your sword away!

A veteran soldier shouts so, but already late, the citizens were bisected by those who tried to flee in fear of the sword and those who couldn't contain their anger and tried to be caught by the soldiers, and the anger was echoed in front of the mansion.

"Help! Through here!"

"Kilgaroho tried to kill the people of the king's capital! He's a national thief! Pull out the Duke!

"Quiet! This is no more rebellion! Calm down!

Finally, one soldier put his sword up against a young artisan-style man.

"Gaaaa! Ko, don't kill me!

His screams echo around in the chaotic air.

Using that scream as a signal, the assembled citizens turned into thugs and pressed to be attacked by soldiers guarding the Duke's residence.

Lord Kilgaroho was aware that the citizens were gathering in front of the mansion, but he was not aware of the response to the King or Lord Braveburn and thought it would be a fatal situation.

When he realized, the uprising had already begun.

"What's happening! Can't you deal with it right away!

His screams cling to the mansion, but the noise outside the mansion showed no sign that it would subside.

(Why did the people gather so early? Again, someone's conspiracy......)

Time goes back a day.

October 21st, noon.

The Duke of Brandon Inverhollow, in response to the announcement of the disposition of Arwell Kilgaroho, intended to use the occasion to sharpen the forces of his rival, the Kilgaroho family, all at once.

(Both His Majesty and Kilgaroho erred...... now is the time for my Inverhollow to be at the apex of the Four Dukes' house. After that......)

He returns his thoughts to taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity with a black grin.

(First we must hunt down Lord Kilgaroho. He has tremendous influence over the nobles, but he has no influence over the civilian population, especially the citizens here in the King's capital (Fonce). If we use the merchants to spread rumors and grease the anger of the citizens, he'll have trouble dealing with it. It would be better if there were a few riots. Enough to fit in about a day......)

He thinks of the faces of the merchants he can move.

(Civilians are also difficult to move in the big merchants. Using the guild, or pretending to be a coincidence, spreading rumors...... in any case I spreading information but what should I do......)

And come up with moving a big, profit-savvy merchant.

(Smell the big merchants for fear of rioting. Now they're going to buy groceries and stuff. That way, the open-air merchants start rumors about what's going on. If you spread rumors that there could be a riot in Kilgaroho's mansion there......)

He ordered one of his ministers to summon the grocers belonging to the commercial guild.

2 pm.

When the merchants gathered, Lord Inverhollow began his speech to the merchants.

"You will have already heard of it in rumors. We're talking about the disposition of Arwell Kilgaroho."

All the merchants nodded, but they were leaning their necks about how it had to do with them.

"Perhaps the disposition will be officially announced by the end of the day, but the content of this disposition, as rumoured, will be left to Lord Kilgaroho. The people of the king's capital are not convinced of this decision. If that happens..."

He cuts the words once as he looks around the merchants' faces.

"Worst, Possible Riot"

The merchants smile at the words.

For them, the stability of security is fundamental to commerce, because when riots occur, for example, there is a risk that costs will be stirred up by increased security and stagnation in distribution.

Lord Inverhollow will check their faces and explain why.

"Currently, the main force of the Knights of the Springs is in the Devil's Crusade. The Knights Commander and Deputy Commander are also absent. Usually, even if the people make some noise, it can be contained. But we don't have that suppression right now. If anyone appeared dissatisfied with His Majesty's cutting... it would not be strange to see a riot in the King's capital"

Once he stops talking, he takes another look at the merchants.

The merchants were desperately turning their heads about the information and were beginning to consider what to do when they returned.

So, he prepares for a riot in the Wang capital and begins preaching about enhanced distribution.

"The wrath of the people will turn to the Kilgaroho family, but some of the mob may hitch a ride to it and attack the carriage. It would be dangerous, especially around Arwell Kilgaroho being extradited tomorrow afternoon. Consider increasing your security first. Moreover, we must not stop the supply of food and other items to the people, even if the price increases are proportionate (...). I have no choice but to pay close attention to the cost of security, but I urge you to pay particular attention to the supply of food so as not to hunt down the general public who are not thugs. Please do not delay the supply in the long term (...)"

While he spoke that way, he was thinking of something else in his mind.

(If this statement is the only one, I appear to be on the side of the people to keep prices from rising. But the merchants don't take it the same way. These guys are supposed to take that I admitted to multiplying the cost of security. In order to make it a system for supplying food in the longer term (...), it will reduce food releases tomorrow. In that case, the open-air merchants start making noise first......)

He had set himself on fire and was about to be a feat for putting out the fire.

(… and that information passes to the citizens who heard it… If you hear of a possible riot in Kilgaroho's mansion, the wild horses of your tuners will gather. Later it will grow on its own. How much, even though many of the knights are paying for it, there is enough force to contain the civil uprising. At the stage when the uprising is about to start, if I talk about Lord Kilgaroho's cover-up, my stock will go up a lot......)

When the Duke's story was finished, the merchants hurried back to the store.

And as he thought, the merchants began to check their grocery reserves and even reviewed their plans for transporting supplies the next day.

The next morning, October 22nd.

The open-air merchants who go to purchase find that the major chambers of commerce are curtailing the supply of foodstuffs, especially flour and other well-stockpiled foods. The price had also risen by about 20% in just one day.

"Will you sell it at the same price as usual? Please."

An open-air dealer running a stall catches and worships a young clerk.

"My husband tells me that at this price, and besides, I don't only sell half of the usual. You're in trouble here, too."

"We barely have the inventory on hand. This is your meal."

"That being said... just for the record, there's going to be a riot in West Mansion Street. So you may not be able to sell it today if you leave the stall."

"West Mansion? Are we talking about the Duke of Kilgaroho?

"I don't know the details, but apparently, yesterday, the Duke of Inverhollow was heartbroken about it, and my husband heard the story."

The open-air merchant listens to the story and gives up today's business.

And when you start telling that story to the open-air merchants you know, further rumors are added.

"Don't you think the Knights are strangely noisy this morning? I heard that all the gates are tightening up the examination."

Maybe it has something to do with Lord Inverhollow's story.

And after 8 a.m., further news of Arwell's escape is added. Many of the citizens, including the wild horses, were beginning to make their way to the royal palace and the residence of the Duke of Kilgaroho.
