Trinitas Mundus

Episode XV: Nightmare

the afternoon of January 27, 3026 of the Tria calendar.

Day two into the wilderness named Desperationis.

There were no major obstacles in the morning, things were going well and we were earning more than 10 km of distance. There was also no contemplative look like yesterday on Ray's face, as he was able to ignite the dead branches he picked up further along the way to fuel and have a warm meal.

(If you go at this rate, you can complete enough 20km, which is your goal for the day. Maybe we can pile up a little more. Approximately 300 km through this wilderness. At this rate, I can get out without taking half a month...)

The first part of the afternoon went well.

Of course, just like yesterday, there were rocks where toxic gases erupted and suddenly, the ground fell and demons like Ali Hell were attacked, but no damage was damaged by the crisis aversion abilities of the Unos Beastman slaves and the healing magic of Ray.

The weather gradually collapsed from the time it went on for about two hours, and the blizzard began to blow. Still not so much that I could not walk, and the outline of the distant mountain that marked it was neat but visible. It also gradually became invisible and, around 4 p.m., stopped traveling that day.

Sit close to the big rock shade and prepare for the camp.

(About 30 km in two days. Doesn't go as planned, but no rush... let's just say I think I've got time to rest my body...)

With that in mind, I fell asleep.

Ashley was dreaming. Dream of childhood.

When I was five, I lost my mother, Abby. My mother's death was unacceptable inside because of the scattering on the battlefield.

Hamish, my father, went home and said with a lonely face, "Your mother is dead. To protect me..." but she didn't believe me.

(Mother returns. Because I made a good promise... my father is lying. He always came back......)

Suddenly, the landscape in front of me changed from a house in Fonce to a meadow.

Thousands of soldiers and twice as many orcs, goblins, and even giant orgasms. It was an occasion when both of them were fighting to the death.

Abby is desperately waving her sword with Hamish and Alberic. There were dozens of demonic bodies overlapping around them, but still the number of demons that struck them never decreased.

One soldier after another dies. Following that, the number of demons coming towards the Hamish increased and they were pushed gradually.

That's when Hamish slipped his legs around with the blood at his feet. Several orcs strike at him by poking that gap. I snapped the heads of the two oaks, but they surrounded me with stick-wielding oaks. More giant orgasms over 3m were looming from behind.

Abby jumped in front of Hamish as Hamish's fate was about to run out. Several orcs sustained hand injuries and managed to save Hamish's predicament. But that impossible move took Abby's life. Oak shook a stick down his back full of gaps.

Hamish's "Abby!" The cry echoes on the battlefield. The next moment, Abby's scream took its place. The Orcs launch a merciless attack on Abby as she tries to rise. The Hamish desperately cut down the oak, but the orga that was supposed to have been in the rear was grabbing Abby's head with those huge hands. Abby resists desperately, but is unable to resist Auga's power and was slammed to the ground as it were. There was bright red blood spreading ahead of him when he was slapped.

Ashley said, "Mother! Mother!" she exclaimed.

The face of that org was at some point Hamish's face. Hamish smiles niggardly and distorted, beating the mercenaries to death.

"Father! What's wrong! Why!"

Even though I knew I was crazy, I couldn't allow Hamish to betray me.

The scene changed again.

It was in the woods close to the town of Morton where Ray and I met.

It was a scene where the mercenary's betrayal made him desperate. A knight in white armor jumped in as he was surrounded by bandits and about to be mausoleum.

She said, "Ray!," he exclaimed, asking for help. But the face of the beloved man she saw was ugly and distorted, and she approached herself without defeating the bandits.

"Ray! It's me! It's Ashley! Ray!

The cry did not reach Ray. Flashing the spear will jump the love sword that was in my right hand. More magic was used to manipulate the roots of the trees and was quickly restrained.

Ray laughed niggardly and let the spear's tip wrap light around him.

The moment the spear pierced me, I woke up. There was Ray's face on the side with a worrying look on his face. But I have a strong impression of my last dream, and I accidentally pop it.

"What's the matter with you! Ash!"

Ashley returned to me to Ray's surprise voice.

And I said, "I'm sorry," small, and I woke him up.

"I had a horrible dream... my father killed my mother... and you made me..."

At those moments, Ray can hold me hard.

"I wouldn't do that. I promised I'd protect you."

"Actually, Stella had a horrible dream, too," he tells her when she hugs him hard again. Stella behind him also looked blue like she'd lost her blood.

"Stella too... what about you? Anything else? Where are the Unos?

"I seem to have been a little bit of a jerk, but I don't remember what my dream was about. Looks like Uno and the others were nothing, and Derve and Lauri were fine..."

Ashley said, "Well, just me and Stella... did it affect just the woman?," he murmurs.

Ray said in a bright voice to encourage Ashley, who is depressed by the effects of her dreams, "Maybe so, but I have a hypothesis for once," he said.

"I think maybe the dark attribute magic was hung. The Darveys have the magic of a puppet hanging on them, and the Unos wear a collar of slaves, so I don't think they could override the magic."

"So why did it affect you less? You're not supposed to have dark attribute magic."

Ray nods small, "This is a hypothesis, too," and continues the conversation.

"I'm wondering if the magic formation on my left has anything to do with it. Maybe my armor, my snow coat (Nixwestis), is defensive against magic."

"Right. Sure you can think about it. But you're a pain in the ass. I don't feel like sleeping when I think I can show you that dream again."

Stella agrees, "So do I."

"I've been thinking about it for a while."

Ashley smiles at the words, "That's just great".

"If my hypothesis is correct, if you hang the dark attribute magic, it shouldn't be overwritten. If you hang the magic of weak sleep or the magic of implication, you should be fine. Even so, I don't know if it really works."

"Even though you're weak, the magic of sleep is awkward. What does it feel like to imply magic?

"It's okay to imply that you don't dream scared, or that you don't dream"

Ashley and Stella were to be hung with allusion magic.

With the magic of allusion hanging, Ray thought the nightmare they had had was a form of mental attack.

(Is there a demon lurking like the dreamer Nightmare? If that's the case, it's a pain in the ass. If they attack like this from an invisible place... even though they are acting in a more spiritually critical state in a physically challenging state. If this lasts for days, I don't have a body...)

With that in mind, I fell asleep. But that wasn't the end of it.

It was Ashley who noticed the anomaly.

Ocho, the beast man who is sleeping, rises flirtatious and wakes up to the signs.

"Lord Ocho, what's wrong? Enemy."

But no response from Ocho, and yet another sleepless turn, Dies, rises up slowly. The move was not that of a agile beast man, but a hauntingly unstable one.

Immediately tell the Rays about the anomaly.

"There's something wrong with Lord Ocho and Lord Dies! Everybody, stay alert!

Ray wakes up with those words, but the three reactions are dull: Uno, Seis and Nuebe. Still no response from Stella. The little ghost tribes Darvé and Lauri seemed to have no particular anomalies.

Ray said, "What happened, Ash! screaming," but soon I noticed the anomalies of the beasts.

"How are the Unos... Stella too! Something is happening only to the Beast Man! Whatever you've noticed, just tell me!

Ashley and Darvy, Lauri look around, but we don't see any anomalies just from the snowstorm. But Darvé noticed something strange, he turned his ear to the wind and began to pick up the sound.

"It sounds weird. I don't know, there's a high noise..."

Ray and Ashley also crystallize their ears desperately, but they have no idea how loud the wind sounds.

"Maybe he's manipulating it with something like a dog whistle!

When Ashley tells Darvé and Lauri, "Get the Unos," they catch the unos walking out of the fray. The Unos sat idly by, without resistance or rumbling. Ashley also held Stella tight and let her sit tight to Ray.

(Suppose it's like an ultrasound, you might be able to bounce it off with a layer of air. impromptu but I have to try to make magic......)

Ray said, "Can't you manage to cancel the sound, I'll try! Shouting," he unfolds the wind attribute magic as it is.

(Try to cover this area with a layer of air... should I make a density difference...)

The snow I was spraying stops hitting them. In about five minutes as he maintained his magic without chanting, the brilliance of intelligence returned to Uno's eyes.

"Hey, what happened?

The deposited calm uno was the voice that made me feel in a hurry.

Ray said, "I don't know. With some sound..." Uno perceived danger when he tried to.

"It's an enemy! Back of my left hand! Demons I've never even seen...... four in number!

It didn't look like Ray and Ashley by the darkness and snowstorm. When Ashley takes out the magic props of the lights and lights up, a white jaw shapes the contour of the human form at the tip of the weak light. Approaching a distance of about five meters, it turns out that it is something as immaterial as a ghost. By then everyone had regained consciousness.

Stella is shaking her head, "What happened," but Ashley doesn't mind that.

"Ghost! Have a Mithril sword ready for me. Lord Uno! Ray is at his best to maintain this magic. I'm sorry, but I need you to protect me with Stella! I'll strike out!

"I can't do it with Ash's sword! I'm leaving!

"You must protect Stella and Lord Uno. The Unos don't know what will happen if they go outside. Stella, lend me Mithril's sword."

I didn't understand what was happening to Ashley, but at least I only understood that it had a negative effect on the Beastman tribe. And also that we need Ray's magic to protect them. That's why I thought the only way I could move was to fight the Ghosts.

Uno nodded loudly at Ashley, "Protect Ocho, Diez and Master Arklight! Seyce and Nuebe should be ready to leave at any time! ordered."

When Uno said so, he took the dagger "Dagger" about thirty cm across the blade from his nose. The dagger had a dull silver color and was made of misrils.

Besides the task of escorting and gathering information, the Uno Beast Slave Squad was also given the task of fighting the undead, and was given an expensive Mithril dagger as a gear to do so. Not to guide them, of course, but to accompany and support the high priests in purifying the undead. But in fact, they are defeating the undead, not support or anything else.

Stella worried for a moment about what to do, but soon decided that Ashley's orders were reasonable. And he said, "Please. But be careful," he said, handing Mithril's short sword.

Shortly after Ashley receives it, the white Ghosts split without any foretaste. At first I could only see four shadows, but more than ten.

Ashley makes several bareback gestures to make sure she's unfamiliar with the weight of the short sword.

And when I told him to scold himself, "Okay, I can," he jumped out of Ray's magical range.

Ghost looks like blurry mist or sumptuous and doesn't seem so threatening at first glance. However, as we approached, it was felt that it was also supposed to be pure malice.

(That's a chunk of hate. You also mean jealousy of life... just being nearby seems to create hatred for me too...)

With that in mind, we approach the Ghosts with a movement like a wind. The Ghosts tried to take her in once and for all to see if Mithril's sword in Ashley's hands felt threatened.

Behind Ashley is Ray screaming something. But Ashley was calm.

The moment the Ghosts tried to surround themselves, they slashed and ripped the whole ghost as they bounced wide to the right. Though not at all handy, the scream of Gaia echoes in my head.

As if to inspire yourself "Next!," he exclaimed, in a quick move like an animal man, slashing and tearing apart the whole thing that was beside him. The Ghosts move to wrap around Ashley in a slow motion, but flirt with her running like the wind.

Defeating all ghosts in about five minutes returned to the Rays.

Ray tells Ashley, "Good luck," and she makes Darvé confirm the sound.

Upon receiving a report from Derve that he "would not make a sound," he unlocked the magic of blocking the sound.

Ray lowered his hips to the ground like he was worn out. It was magic without chanting, and due to the longer duration, the magic drained heavily.

When Stella cares, "Are you okay?" she says, "I'm fine. Because you can handle it if you sleep," he smiles. But in my mind, I was thinking something else.

(I wonder if I can sleep. I responded to an earlier nightmare and now I'm attacking you with sound... maybe that sound had a mix of spells. A spell arrived directly from your ear to your brain, and you were manipulated with it? Or maybe the dark attribute magic itself can't be overridden, just the nightmare magic can't be overridden... and who attacks you anyway? What kind of hand are you coming next?... It's really going to be spiritual...)

Ray immediately fell asleep when he gave Uno instructions to "think of something like an earplug".

The night dawned in about three hours.

Ray's magic hasn't recovered much, and with that, his health hasn't recovered. His temper was shredded more than that.

When I took the meal silently, I said "Shall I leave" in a powerless voice.

Ashley was beginning to feel hopeless about how it was going. herself, she is exhausted and has no energy.

(Can we get out of here? Not so much in just two days... I wouldn't have had a day without Ray. If things continue like last night, I won't be able to handle it any time soon even with Ray...)

Stella had seen the two of them and was beginning to wonder if she should turn back now.

(Now we can still get out of this wilderness in a day or so. It is dangerous to keep going in a situation where Master Ray's magic will not be restored......)

I tell Ray about it, but he said, "Well, we're not gonna make it," and he never stopped.

Even as he remembered his anxiety, he was prepared and stepped out into the wilderness.

The Rays don't know, but about two thousand years ago, the same thing happened when the Demons fled from the western lands to the barren land of Kwaedam Tenebre. Many had lost their lives by powerful demons, but more had lost their own lives in attacks on their spirits. Regardless of the ghost tribe, even the demon tribe, a user of dark attribute magic who specializes in mental attacks, had burned his hands in mental attacks on the land and lost many of his compatriots.
