Lesson 10: Liberation

The morning of April 11th.

Torture of Stella continued in the Fort Toa interview room.

The commander of the fort, Viscount Benjamin Plummer, felt creepy at her for not breaking her mouth so hard, but he needed to make up the Rays as demonic spies that kept him tortured all night.

But his men's knights did not faithfully abide by Plummer's orders. They are just knights, not professionals in interrogation and torture, and they are disgusted by such practices. He also did not believe that the Rays were consorting with the Demons, and had begun to discern commanders who would force their young daughters to torture them for self-preservation.

For this reason, torture was just a famous interrogation, and although he shouted and threatened Plummer when he was there, the whip was to the point of lightly hitting him. Plummer, who had never tortured himself, could not spot the knights acting.

Stella was not allowed to sleep either and continued to be interrogated in a tied state, but she still had room. However, to buy the Knights' sympathy, he has a painful and anguished look on his face.

(I can stand it to this extent. All you have to do is wait for the other side to give up. These people aren't experts, so it's time to give up... but don't get distracted until the end. If I were here, Ray or Ashley wouldn't have to do this...)

She didn't feel any rush.

Luke's Beast Slave Squad required him to endure torture for at least three days. It is said to await the rescue of its companions, but in fact to make the enemy squander his time for no reason.

For this reason, he believed that torture of this magnitude could endure for days.

By that time, Ray and Ashley remained locked up in solitary confinement. Ashley had been released from custody, but Ray, a magician, was restrained with both hands and remained monkey hunted.

He was more concerned that Stella, who had been taken to the interview room after noon the day before, had not returned and could not sleep.

(Is Stella okay...... I don't know what time it is now but she hasn't been back for more than half a day. Maybe he's being tortured......)

So much so that I'm more grumpy than Stella who's actually being tortured.

I couldn't talk to anyone, only anxiety recruited me.

Alberic Auger, deputy of the Mercenary Corps of Markat (Red Arms), had applied to see Plummer many times.

The day before was all dismissed for being busy and I have been applying since this morning, but I am still not allowed to do so.

(It's about to taste bad, isn't it? Ash and Stella, anyway, Ray, because you're hit and weak... you can't help it if this happens, can you? I think I'll hang the threat......)

He had an almost accurate picture of the situation of the three. For this reason, I consider it dangerous to take any more time, and I find myself in a forceful hands.

He caught a knight with command and said, "I wonder if you could tell Commander Plummer this,"

"If you refuse to see me any more, I will officially protest against the Kingdom of Kaum. It's also the United Kingdom of Lax Sartooth."

"It's possible to tell, but isn't it a mistake to say the name of the United Kingdom? As a Mercenary Corps or Mercenary Guild, do you think it would be appropriate?

Alberic answers the knight's question with a smile.

"Mercenary of the Red Arms, not Alberic Auger, but as Alberic du Monteclair, the third son of the Duke of Gustave du Monteclair of the Kingdom of Sartooth"

That's what I say. Take out the pendant-shaped orb.

When the knight confirmed the orb, he opened his surprising less eyes and solidified for a few seconds.

"Definitely at the Monteclair family...... excuse me! I will tell His Excellency Plummer immediately!

After a few seconds of silence, he knew that the nobility of the Kingdom of Sartooth, which was also a clan of senior nobles, ran right out under Plummer when he answered correctly in his posture.

"I didn't want to give you this name," shrugged Alberic, dropping off the knight, but quickly put it back to its usual look.

In the Command Office there was a rumbling of reported Plummer rage.

"What! That's sincere!

The knight nods loudly and replies, "I only confirmed it with these eyes".

Plummer is relieved for a moment.

(I thought there was something, but no way is it the nobility of Sartooth... that's also the Monteclair family, isn't it the worst...)

In Plummer's knowledge, the Monteclair family was the representative of the Elves of the Kingdom of Sartooth, that is, the house that heads the Elves' magician's unit, the kingdom's most elite unit. For this reason, it has a strong influence not only on the Kingdom of Sartooth, but also on the Kingdom of Lax, which forms the United Kingdom. It was even said that the power was comparable to that of the Sartooth royal family.

However, those of the Monteclair family, including the present Lord, did not speak not only to the United Kingdom, but also to the politics of the Kingdom of Sartooth. In addition, unless there were special circumstances like the reign of the king or a massive war, the reality was riddled with mystery and half-legendarized, because it was engulfed in territory.

When Plummer is relieved, his knight calls out, "Would you like to?"

Returning to me with that voice,

"We need to get you to the reception room. I'll be right there."

With that said, I was wondering how I could excuse Stella for letting her torture me.

(I think Lord Alberic adored a daughter named Stella... if things were revealed, he might not have to be dismissed from command...)

At this time Plummer was in panic.

A Monteclair family official who only knows the name but has a lot of mysteries, so I had no idea how to deal with it. Not only that, but Alberic's lack of forgiveness panicked him.

Plummer has heard about Alberic's archery on Ryan, and he's gone to see it for himself once. At that time, I was feeling a good strange fear for Alberic, who would put on an archery with a thin smile.

Alberic came into the reception room feeling unusual and floating.

And he talks in the usual light tone, "I'm sorry you took the time," he said.

The usual plummer would take an attitude that looked down on him, but today he was smiling affectionately as he scratched his sweat.

"What can I do for you? Lord Alberic du Monteclair."

"I think I already know... I thought it might be time for my fellow interrogators to be over. I spent three months in an enemy country over that tough Aquila. I'm hoping to give you some rest, but I don't know if the interrogation's over yet."

Plummer gets stuck with the answer. Alberic, who ignores it, goes after it even further.

"I don't think you've done it, but you haven't done anything barbaric about torture. Those kids are the heroes of Millis Valley, and they're the medals of Periclitle's defense."

"No, that's..."

"Yeah, yeah, naturally, right? As one of the aristocrats of the United Kingdom of Lax Sartoos (...), I'd like to talk to them soon, who are also the benefactors of the United Kingdom, but I was wondering if I could see them soon."

Plummer nodded instantly.

"Got it. Then let's go to the interview room together."

That's what I said and tried to leave the reception room. But Alberic doesn't move, he calls from behind.

"Yeah, well, I want you to keep it a secret if you can about me. I'm a strange celebrity, too, so I don't want any more trouble. Besides, if I were a nobleman, I wouldn't be able to stay with the Hamish. Tell your people. And I want the tone back the way it's always been."

"Got it," Plummer nodded with a pulling grin. And I say, "Well, shall I come?" and I walk out.

Now Alberic follows me very closely.

Upon entering the interview room, there was the figure of Stella, who had been restrained and bloodstained.

As Alberic hung her own jacket from above her torn clothes, she asked, "What does this mean?," he hears in a low voice.

Plummer rattled and trembled at his voice containing that killing, "No, I'm nothing..." after wandering off the

"I didn't order it! My men, someone from my men did it on their own! So, who did this to you!

I cry out loud, but while the knights were angry at the ugliness, they couldn't raise their voice to the killing spirit unleashed by Alberic, a leading mercenary.

"Anyway, I was wondering if you could untie me right away. Then, Ray, call you in as soon as you can. His magic would make the wound disappear."

Instructions were given to the knights, not the plummers. The knights immediately begin to act without seeing the plummer.

Alberic crouches down and speaks with a labouring voice to Stella, who is quiet.

"Are you okay? I can hang the healing magic, but it doesn't look like there's any big scratches, so Ray, I'll have you erase the scratches, okay?

Stella laughs nicely and replies, "With all this scratch, you don't have to slight Lady Ray's hand".

"No, you can't. Because Stella is also the girl before she was married. It's not good to have a scratch."

Stella turns red on Alberic's words that can't be serious or a joke.

When Alberic stands up, he turns his gaze to Plummer.

"You don't think you can just do this to your Red Arms buddies."

Unlike the words you hung on Stella, Plummer trembles in a voice that chills out enough to make you feel cold. The opponent is an amazing mercenary. He's powerful enough to get a kick out of it when his men here hang up in bunches.

And furthermore, he assumes that the opponent is one of those in power in another country and that even if he hurts himself here, he may be questioned.

How, in fact, one of the powerful cannot harm the commander of Fort Thor, an important stronghold against the Demons, but the small-minded Plummer recalls Alberic's rampant behavior and trembles that he will be slashed to death.

"Yes, no, I will always punish my runaway men severely. I must…"

Alberic blocks the word.

"Who was the commander here? What are you going to do as the person in charge?

The pushed plummer is stuck in words, making his face red or blue.

"Fair enough. Looks like Stella was safe too..." sends another killer glance.

Plummer is speechless just to make an unintelligible voice that means "ahhh". Alberic ignores it and keeps talking.

"... so you can finish the interrogation now, right? Or are you still going to torture me?

"Oh, I could fully confirm that these people are not the hands of the devil tribe. I won't look into it any more..."

When Plummer told him to squeeze it out, he left the interview room to run away.

The remaining knights were staring at the backs of the superiors who pushed themselves to blame. Plummer was also limited from his children's men.

About enough time after Plummer left, Ray and Ashley came to the interview room. Behind it are the beastly slaves Seyce and Nuebe refrain.

Ray looked at Stella sitting up in her pants and said, "It's okay!" I rush over. And he said, "Who did this to me!" I stare at the knights around me screaming.

"I'm asking who it is!" Yelling again, he accumulates the power of the Spirit in his left hand. Alberic felt in danger, holding down his left hand,

"You don't have time to do that now, do you?"

And Stella smiled, saying, "These men have only been commanded."

"I've had it handed down, and I've been treated properly. So I'm fine. But thank you. For me......"

Ray regains some calm, but looks at Stella's face and gets even more angry. She was pale due to prolonged restraints and bleeding.

Alberic puts his strength into the hand he is holding back and makes him turn his consciousness towards himself.

"Stella's scars are terrible. The blood's stopped, but I'm gonna get a scar like this. Ray, you can turn it off clean."

That's what I say and take my jacket. Ray looked at her clothes, which were rattled and painted with blood, and blamed herself.

"It was something I could have predicted. Sorry. That hurt..."

Stella said, "As long as this is it, it's okay. Because the training inside was tougher," he smiles.

"Anyway, I guess the interrogation is over. Then let's get out of here," Ashley suggested, and Alberic also urged him to leave the room by saying, "The commander said he'd have a room for us."

Alberic turned to the knights,

"I was wondering if someone could confirm where we should go. And I want you to tell me where I can treat you while you wait."

The knights move in unison to the word. Because of the killing I felt for Alberic and because I feared the magic of Ray enough to be sung in poetry as well.

Guided to a room near the interview room, Ray treated Stella.

He hangs his healing magic as he prays that all his wounds disappear.

The many ugly scars attached by the whip disappear and turn into her natural white complexion. Alberic, also a veteran healer, exclaims at that miraculous sight.

"It's amazing whenever you see it, Ray, your magic is!

I see it. Ashley is also nodding at the way it heals. He finishes treatment in about five minutes, but by then he had regained his calm, too. But I finally realize the fact that I was looking at Stella's complexion and I start panicking.

"Put this on......" he said, handing over his jacket and speaking to Alberic to delude his reddened face.

"Thanks to Mr. Alberic for your help. But you've heard that commander say a lot."

Alberic smiled ambiguously,

"Didn't you want to turn the Red Arms against the enemy? Or did you say you were afraid of being retaliated against by the White Master? It doesn't matter either way. Anyway, we're all safe."

Ray was somewhat unconvinced, but reassured that he could leave.

"I'll talk to you later, but it's about the future"

"Yeah. I want to ask you something about my daughter, Luna, too. He said Ryan heard better than me."

As Stella listened, she was heartily delighted that the danger had now left.

(Sokius has always been an enemy land even with Mr. Luna, and so has this place. But for the time being, it's not an enemy land. This should reduce the likelihood of that being hurt......)

With that in mind, I was following Ray's smile with my eyes.
