Trinitas Mundus

Episode 93: Arrival of Ars

November 1st.

The Rays arrived in Ars, king capital of the kingdom of Kaum.

Here we plan to negotiate with the Royal Government in order to obtain permission to pass the main impulse east of the kingdom, Fort Toa.

In order to enter the land of the demons, the eternal darkness (Kwaedham Tenebre), which the people on the west side say, it is necessary to use the way out or pass through Fort Toa.

The way out is a route previously used by Ray, but it's not even a beast road, and it's impossible to get through on a horse. For this reason, it is officially necessary to cross Fort Toa, but the kingdom fears the dark attribute magic used by the Demons and does not allow them to enter the east side, including the scouts.

In order to obtain permission, it is necessary to explain why we need to enter the land of the Demons in the first place.

But there was no more information in the western country, including the Kingdom of Kaum, than the fact that the demons lived in Kwaedam Tenebre, and the preceding Theophilus entered the king's capital, Ars, worried about where to explain it from.

The explanatory policy did not come together, but it needed to be seen by Queen Katrina, the substantial ruler of the kingdom, and I thought I would give it a hit in advance.

But like the Dwarves at Blacksmith's Guild headquarters, he was at a victory memorial festival in his home village of Rasmore, and the sight did not come true.

I managed to meet the civil servants of the kingdom, but it was difficult to explain without telling them about Ray and Luna, leaving the royal palace behind for now.

After rendezvous with the Rays, he entered the Golden Floor (Anvil) pavilion, where the Lockhart family was accommodated. Theo and the others are given the finest rooms, calling Ray, Ashley, Stella and Luna to their rooms.

Report from Theo that there was no queen.

"I expected you to hear about Mr. Ulrich and the others, but I knew you weren't here. Well, there's no way that Mr. Kati isn't going to the Dwarf Festival where Brother Zach divides up."

In that word Luna also said, "Right? We'll have to wait," he nodded powerlessly.

Ashley questions the interaction between the two.

"Can't you do it with someone else? It's not like the Queen is going around the country alone."

"Certainly there are some civilians, but I think a serious story like this one will require a ruling from the Queen."

"That queen is politician enough for Brother Zach to be vigilant. I always said this country wouldn't go around without him."

to Luna and Theo's answer. Ashley is convinced that "you mean as rumored,"

"It's a shame to pass the time for no reason. Wouldn't it be better to prepare for the Queen when she returns?"

"I think so, too. I'd like to ask Mr. Theo, what do you think we should do to convince the queen?

"That's a difficult question," replies Theo to Ray's question, thinking.

When Theo thinks about it, Luna answers on his behalf.

"The queen, or Kati, I was wondering if I could be honest with you where Ulrich and the others are."

"I don't care how far you talk," Ray asked.

"You don't know anything about the Demon Nation (Sochius). Why don't you start by explaining it and convince me of my position?"

Ashley disagrees with Luna.

"If I tell the western countries where you stand, won't it be unsavory? He is the“ Son of the Moon "who is so worshipped as to be equal to God. If you can take it hostage, you might think it's possible to subjugate the Demons."

"You're right about Ash. That queen seems trustworthy, but you should hide as much as you can about your position."

I disagree with Ray that Theo may not be.

"What do you mean?

"Luna is very liked by the blacksmiths. And Mr. Ulrich, Mr. Gaelnote and Mr. Oygen already know the secret, don't they? If so, with the help of Mr. Ulrich and the others, we will only negotiate with Mr. Kati. If you try to use the Luna thing, if you think the Blacksmith Guild is going to work, you can't do anything unscrupulous, either, Mr. Kati."

Stella has joined the story.

"When I met you before, that guy did use two positions separately. But weren't we talking about ultimately only doing what would be good for the kingdom?

Theo answers her question.

"It's that perception. But turning Mr. Ulrich and his enemies is not in itself good for the kingdom. What happens if the Blacksmith Guild leaves the Kaum Kingdom? Because that's what Katie knows best."

"That's right..."

"As far as I'm concerned, the Queen thinks it's possible to negotiate with a country called Sochius."

"How can that be," Ray asks.

"The Kingdom of Kaum has so far made many sacrifices to prepare for the Devil Nation. This is what Brother Zach told me, but it's a rich land from Barbezy to Toa. But if there's a demonic invasion, it'll be the most damaging, so we have to move on."

Ashley remembers the wilderness of Agreechein, where her mother died in battle.

"Sure. I thought it was strange that that wilderness was abandoned."

"It is. Brother Zach said that if we could fully develop it around the barbecue alone, we should be able to increase cereal production at once and turn to alcohol production for that matter."

As Ashley and Theo put it, Barbezie, a branch heading for Fort Toa, is fertile land. But even if it isn't as good as the battle of Agree Cheyne, where Ashley's mother, Abby, died in battle, she's been invaded by demons many times.

Nor has it been developed, despite the fact that it is also a rich land along the streets of Toa from Barbezy to Fort Toa.

So Ray joins the story again.

"What Ms Theo is trying to say is that Luna is a substantial ruler of Sochius, so she can negotiate with the Demons, and if she succeeds, she might also be able to conclude something like an inviolability treaty, and that her safety is okay because the blacksmith guild is on the back?

"You will. As far as I'm concerned, it's important that Mr. Kati thinks it might be in the interest of the Kaum kingdom or that the kingdom might be damaged."

Stella was thinking about something as she listened to the argument.

(How do I explain Master Ray? Maybe the information should be here, too. He is the king of the people of the meadows, and I know he may be the trump card that will determine the next emperor of the Empire. So I think it's important not only for Luna, but also how she explains Lady Ray...)

Stella told me about it.

Theo talks to himself to put his thoughts together.

"You also have a point about what Mr. Stella says. Sure, we've got information here in Ars as well, but it doesn't seem to contain as much detailed information as the Empire. However, Kati has her own information network, so I don't know how much information she actually has."

"You mean me... that's true..."

Ray still doesn't realize he's a key figure in the world.

"I wish I had Brother Zach or Sister Sharon at times like this," Serra mutters.

"I don't have a choice when it comes to people who aren't there," Ashley says, but I don't have a good idea either, and I can't say anything more.

"I'm not about to squeeze out......" Ryan, who had been quiet until then, joined the conversation.

"Shouldn't I tell you everything? If Vanitas knew he was trying to destroy the world, I don't know how the country would say it."

Theo found light in Ryan's seemingly abusive way of thinking.

"You sure do. You don't have to tell me everything. Maybe I can just tell you about Vanitas' invasion and what the gods told me. If I knew what Ray was up to, I'd think that even someone empowered by the gods, Kati, would somehow understand."

Ray was skeptical.

"Can you understand that? I think it's absurd for politicians."

"I think you'll understand," Luna affirms.

"Why?"

"Mr. Kati is a very reasonable thinker. You don't think the miracles that Ray did in Millis Valley, Periclitle, and Lark Hill are anything one person can do. Because if they say the gods are involved, they'll be convinced the other way around."

"You mean you think you can't do it without God involved because it's so unrealistic?

"That's right. And if you talk about me with that, you'll understand."

Ray and Luna were convinced by that, but Theo draws a word of caution.

"In any case, the full negotiation comes after the Queen and Mr. Ulrich return. I think we should discuss the practice with the Royal Palace clerks and explain it on the spot, as there will be a welcome feast for us in the Rockhart family at the Blacksmith Guild."

"Wouldn't that take too long? From here, there can be no difference on the main road of Ars Street. If you take too long, it'll be the middle of winter when you cross Aquila."

to Ashley's point. Ray is also convinced that "you sure are," but Theo shook his head sideways,

"I think we can explain ourselves, but we need to get back to Ars for the procedure. Then it would be more efficient to be prepared here."

The Kingdom of Kaum is close to the dictatorship of Queen Katrina, but still the king is alive and well, and since the royal family does not possess absolute power, we cannot leave the senior nobles in jeopardy.

Theo explained the situation.

"I understand the circumstances. Theo's right, stay in Ars and get ready."

That's what Ray says and sums it up.

Theo and Ray, as well as Luna, went to the Royal Palace the next day to vigorously do what they could beforehand, including washing out the problems with Otto Elwes and others, a young civilian compiler.

Hamish and the others thought about the future while healing the fatigue of their long journey and worked to care for and train their gear. In addition, the Uno and the Beast Troops have reached near Barbezy to gather information, with the exception of liaison personnel.

November 4th.

There was a great deal of confusion at Kaum Royal Palace.

The cause of the confusion was not that the Rays had said they wanted to pass Fort Toa, but the presence of the Humane Horse (Centaur) tribe.

The Humans and nomadic warriors do not enter the city of Ars, which is built of stone and has many semi underground buildings, but camp outside the walls of the castle.

This had been communicated to the Royal Government through Theo, but the citizens of Ars were also interested not only in the merchants taking the streets to the Humans and Horses they saw for the first time.

If the camp had been for a day or two, it would not have been a particularly big problem, but the Ulrich and the others had not yet returned, and their stay in Ars had already been three days. As a result, rumors have called for rumors and many people have come to visit.

The Humans and Horses on the seen side have also recognized themselves as prominent beings since the entry of Fortis, and were not particularly concerned about being a spectacle in itself, but are baffled by the unparalleled number of people pushed by the fact that it is the king capital of a single country.

The Rays were also anxious to have sudden trouble with that number, and were taking turns going into the camp.

The Royal Government of Kaum also fears that the troubles with the Humane Horses could lead to a deterioration in relations with the Empire and, furthermore, with the Lockhart family that brought them in, but it cannot even tell them to stay away from the citizens of Ars and has only been able to provide enhanced security.

Sir Otto Elwes, also head of the interior affairs, was being pursued in response as he rubbed his painful stomach.

As Theo and his men began to appear frequently in the camp of the Humans, Ars citizens of Lockhart Snoring began to visit their camp with food and booze.

Guius Salinas, the warrior chief of the Sorel tribe, the representative of the people of the meadows, did not suit the strong facade and responded politely to the citizens, who accepted them.

afternoon of November 6th.

A blacksmith guild carriage carrying the Ulrich's arrived at the castle gate in Ars. Queen Katrina was also on board with Ulrich and noticed the noise outside the castle gate.

"What happened?" he asks, and the greeting guild staff explains the situation.

"The other day, the Theophilus of the Lockhart family came. There are people and nomads among them, and the people of Ars are pushing at first sight."

"Theo and the others with the Humans?," Ulrich said, tilting his neck.

"Is Mr. Luna with you," Katrina asks, and the official bows his head "as you say".

"Apparently, Mr. Luna and the White Master are together."

Ray's name didn't come out of the official's mouth because the Rockhart family's three-man Theophilus is more important to the Blacksmith Guild.

"It's a banquet with Theo and the others. We'll do it in the courtyard so the humans can join us."

"I accept," he replied, but the guild staff had already begun to prepare for the planned return of the Ulrich.

It was also expected to invite the Humans to an outdoor party in the courtyard.

In the meantime, Katrina was alone, lost in thought.

(It seems true that Mr. Ray was able to obey the Humans. I don't know what happened in Jill Saul, but it looks like you've got a lot of great power... I need to think about what to do as a kingdom...)

Katrina had regular information in it.

It is also in my ear that Ray has mastered the Humane Horse Nation, intervened in the war between the Holy King Luke and the Caerm Empire, prevented the opening of war and that the Theos have been negotiating for the passage of Fort Toa since entering Ars.

"But first it's a banquet. Then you can think about it."

I hear Ulrich say to himself, "What are you thinking?"

"There's a lot going on. But it's a banquet first."

You're right.

The carriage carrying Ulrich and the others crept through the gates of Ars.
